Mt 28, 8-15

Después de escuchar las palabras del ángel, las mujeres se alejaron a toda prisa del sepulcro, y llenas de temor y de gran alegría, corrieron a dar la noticia a los discípulos. Pero de repente Jesús les salió al encuentro y las saludó. Ellas se le acercaron, le abrazaron los pies y lo adoraron. Entonces les dijo Jesús: "No tengan miedo. Vayan a decir a mis hermanos que se dirijan a Galilea. Allá me verán".

Mientras las mujeres iban de camino, algunos soldados de la guardia fueron a la ciudad y dieron parte a los sumos sacerdotes de todo lo ocurrido. Éstos se reunieron con los ancianos, y juntos acordaron dar una fuerte suma de dinero a los soldados, con estas instrucciones: "Digan: 'Durante la noche, estando nosotros dormidos, llegaron sus discípulos y se robaron el cuerpo'. Y si esto llega a oídos del gobernador, nosotros nos arreglaremos con él y les evitaremos cualquier complicación".

Ellos tomaron el dinero y actuaron conforme a las instrucciones recibidas. Esta versión de los soldados se ha ido difundiendo entre los judíos hasta el día de hoy

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb,
fearful yet overjoyed,
and ran to announce the news to his disciples.
And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them.
They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage.
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid.
Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, 
and there they will see me.”

While they were going, some of the guard went into the city
and told the chief priests all that had happened.
The chief priests assembled with the elders and took counsel;
then they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,
telling them, “You are to say,
‘His disciples came by night and stole him while we were asleep.’
And if this gets to the ears of the governor,
we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”
The soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed.
And this story has circulated among the Jews to the present day.

Meditacion:

Durante muchos siglos, creyentes de todo el mundo han seguido los pasos de María Magdalena en su propia búsqueda del Señor resucitado, y no se trata de hacer una peregrinación a Tierra Santa, aunque sería maravilloso poder realizarla, sino de algo tan ordinario como iniciar el día con una oración.

Utilicemos la siguiente analogía: Cada mañana te levantas de la “tumba” del sueño y te enfrentas al día, al igual que las dos mujeres que fueron al sepulcro justo después del amanecer. Cuando se alejaban del sepulcro, Jesús se les apareció por el camino de la misma manera en que quiere encontrarse contigo (Mateo 28, 9). Ya sea que te dirijas al trabajo o estés tomando el desayuno, el Señor está ahí contigo, invitándote a pasar algo de tiempo con él.

En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús es el primero en hablar. Saludó a las mujeres, posiblemente llamándolas por su nombre. Ahora intenta imaginar que él está delante de ti, te llama por tu nombre y te dice: “Buenos días. Conversemos un rato.” Cuando las mujeres se percataron de quién era el que les estaba hablando, se alegraron y asombradas se arrodillaron frente a él en señal de adoración.

Pero ese encuentro no terminó ahí. Jesús habló de nuevo y viendo las emociones de las mujeres, les aseguró: “No tengan miedo. Yo estoy con ustedes.” Y es que lo mismo sucede con nosotros: Cuando sentimos la presencia de Cristo, nos sorprende lo cerca que él se encuentra de nosotros y el corazón se nos llena de alegría. Jesús nos habla directamente al corazón y sus palabras nos traen paz, nos llenan de esperanza y nos dan fuerzas para enfrentar los desafíos de cada día. Y él te comunica a ti las mismas buenas nuevas que María Magdalena y su amiga escucharon aquel Domingo de Resurrección: “Yo estoy contigo. Nunca te abandonaré. Yo he vencido la muerte y el pecado, porque te amo.”

Cada mañana Jesús te espera para saludarte y quiere animarte a dejar atrás el miedo, pues quiere que lo recibas a él y su gracia en el corazón. Así que durante este tiempo de Pascua proponte dedicar unos momentos de quietud para escuchar su voz en la oración. Deja que te salga al encuentro por el camino al empezar un nuevo día. ¡El Señor tiene mucho que compartir contigo!

“Amado Jesús, dirige tú mis pasos pues quiero encontrarme contigo hoy en mi camino.”

But that meeting did not end there. Jesus spoke again and seeing the emotions of the women, he assured them: "Do not be afraid. I am with you. "And the same thing happens with us: When we feel the presence of Christ, we are surprised at how close he is to us and our hearts fill with joy. Jesus speaks directly to the heart and his words bring us peace, they fill us with hope and give us strength to face the challenges of each day. And he tells you the same good news that Mary Magdalene and her friend heard that Easter Sunday: "I am with you. I will never leave you. I have overcome death and sin, because I love you. "

Every morning Jesus waits for you to greet you and wants to encourage you to leave behind fear, because he wants you to receive him and his grace in your heart. So during this Easter time, propose to spend some quiet moments to listen to your voice in prayer. Let me meet you on the way to start a new day. The Lord has much to share with you!
