Una fe a toda prueba

Mt 8, 5-17

En aquel tiempo, al entrar Jesús en Cafarnaúm, se le acercó un oficial romano y le dijo: "Señor, tengo en mi casa un criado que está en cama, paralítico, y sufre mucho". El le contestó: "Voy a curarlo".

Pero el oficial le replicó: "Señor, yo no soy digno de que entres en mi casa; con que digas una sola palabra, mi criado quedará sano. Porque yo también vivo bajo disciplina y tengo soldados a mis órdenes; cuando le digo a uno: '¡Ve!', él va; al otro: '¡Ven!', y viene; a mi criado: '¡Haz esto!', y lo hace".

Al oír aquellas palabras, se admiró Jesús y dijo a los que lo seguían: "Yo les aseguro que en ningún israelita he hallado una fe tan grande. Les aseguro que muchos vendrán de oriente y de occidente y se sentarán con Abraham, Isaac y Jacob en el Reino de los cielos. En cambio, a los herederos del Reino los echarán fuera, a las tinieblas. Ahí será el llanto y la desesperación".

Jesús le dijo al oficial romano: "Vuelve a tu casa y que se te cumpla lo que has creído". Y en aquel momento se curó el criado.

Al llegar Jesús a la casa de Pedro, vio a la suegra de éste en cama, con fiebre. Entonces la tomó de la mano y desapareció la fiebre. Ella se levantó y se puso a servirles.

Al atardecer le trajeron muchos endemoniados. Él expulsó a los demonios con su palabra y curó a todos los enfermos. Así se cumplió lo dicho por el profeta Isaías: Él hizo suyas nuestras debilidades y cargó con nuestros dolores.

When Jesus entered Capernaum,
a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying,
"Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully." 
He said to him, "I will come and cure him."

only say the word and my servant will be healed.
For I too am a man subject to authority,

And Jesus said to the centurion,
"You may go; as you have believed, let it be done for you."
And at that very hour his servant was healed.

Jesus entered the house of Peter,
and saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.
He touched her hand, the fever left her,
and she rose and waited on him. 

When it was evening, they brought him many
who were possessed by demons,
and he drove out the spirits by a word and cured all the sick,
to fulfill what had been said by Isaiah the prophet:

He took away our infirmities and bore our diseases.

Meditacion:

En esta sección de su Evangelio (capítulos 8 a 9), San Mateo describe el poder sanador de Jesús, relatando las ocasiones en que curó a un leproso, la suegra de San Pedro, dos endemoniados en Gadara, un paralítico, una mujer enferma de hemorragias, dos ciegos y un mudo, e incluso hizo revivir a una niña que había muerto. Parecería que el evangelista se preocupó mucho de dejar perfectamente en claro que Jesús realmente puede curar a todos los que le piden la salud.

Lo que leemos en el Evangelio de hoy, lo decimos cada vez que celebramos la Eucaristía mirando a Jesús Sacramentado en el Pan que el sacerdote expone ante nuestros ojos en el momento previo de la comunión: “Señor, no soy digno de que entres en mi casa, pero una Palabra tuya bastará para sanarme”.

Esta fe del centurión es la que Jesús admira y nos pone como modelo. Creer. El poder de la fe mueve montañas, cura heridas, hace milagros, porque el amor es la fuerza más potente del mundo. Y creer en Jesús es creer en su Amor sobre nosotros y el resto de la creación.

Por eso, atrévete a tener una fe grande, un corazón muy confiado en Jesús, una mirada profunda que vea más allá de la superficie, una esperanza que nadie la pueda destruir, una luz que ilumine siempre tu camino…, que se cumpla lo que crees. Es el regalo de nuestra fe. Hoy puedes decirle a Jesús con un corazón confiado: “Señor, aumenta mi fe”. Te irá muy bien.

María es el mejor modelo de fe. Ella con su vida nos muestra que quien confía en Dios, no queda nunca defraudado. Incluso en la noche, la fe de María nos ayuda a seguir buscando la luz que encontró el centurión y ha iluminado el camino de tantos hombres y mujeres en la historia. Que ella  nos ayude a creer en Su Palabra. Amen

Y Tu... quien crees que El es?

 Lectura del santo Evangelio según san Mateo 16, 13-19

En aquel tiempo, cuando llegó Jesús a la región de Cesarea de Filipo, hizo esta pregunta a sus discípulos: "¿Quién dice la gente que es el Hijo del hombre?" Ellos le respondieron: "Unos dicen que eres Juan el Bautista; otros, que Elías; otros, que Jeremías o alguno de los profetas".

Luego les preguntó: "Y ustedes, ¿quién dicen que soy yo?" Simón Pedro tomó la palabra y le dijo: "Tú eres el Mesías, el Hijo de Dios vivo".

Meditacion:

Hoy celebramos la solemnidad de San Pedro y San Pablo apostol con este evangelio que nos enseña a reconocer a Jesus desde un lugar distinto, desde la entrega.

Dice Juan Lozano respecto a este evangelio:

“Y vosotros, ¿quién decís que soy yo?” A Pedro y Pablo les costó entenderlo, pero al final conocieron al Maestro y respondieron a esa pregunta con la entrega de su propia vida hasta el final. Qué bonita forma de contestar a esta pregunta, con los hechos, con la vida, no con las ideas o teorías. Evidentemente necesitamos razonar la fe y estudiarla, conocer al Jesús histórico, su contexto, empaparnos de una buena cristología… Todo ello es necesario. Pero la pregunta que nos hace Jesús se contesta con la entrega.

Los dos tuvieron debilidades: un perseguidor de cristianos, cuya vida dio la vuelta como un calcetín tras un proceso tumbativo de conversión; y un pescador impulsivo de Galilea, que reculó en el momento de la prueba, pero que cuando experimentó el perdón de Jesús, se entregó a Él sin condiciones y recibió el encargo de presidir la Iglesia. Eran normales, como nosotros; pecadores, también como nosotros. Sin embargo, lo que les hizo grandes fue dejarse llevar por la iniciativa del Señor, responder a la llamada. San pablo con Ananías, el instrumento que puso el Señor para acompañar y guiar a Pablo en su proceso de conversión. San Pedro, con la convivencia y vida junto a Jesús y resto de discípulos, aprendiendo en comunidad a vivir el Evangelio que el Señor les iba enseñando con sus palabras y acciones.

En esta solemnidad podríamos celebrar sus vidas por separado, pero la Iglesia los recuerda juntos para unir el afán misionero de Pablo con el ministerio de ser la cabeza de gobierno de la Iglesia. Una iglesia organizada en comunión cuya razón de ser es anunciar a Jesús.

También nosotros queremos responder a la llamada del Señor como lo hicieron estos grandes hombres de nuestra Iglesia, porque nuestra vocación, como nos recuerda el Papa es la santidad, es decir, crecer en la entrega y amor al Señor hasta darlo todo por Él, como hicieron San Pedro y San Pablo. Que ellos intercedan por nosotros, por la misión de la Iglesia y por el ministerio petrino del Papa Francisco, que el Señor lo siga alentando con su amor y gracia." Amen

Señor, Señor!!!

Mt 7, 21-29

Meditacion:

Bueno... Jesus nos propone hoy "separar a los hombres de los niños en la fe" como dice el dicho.

Es curioso como todos estos ultimos evangelios Jesus nos venia hablando de muchas cosas y de repente, hoy, nos salta con esto de que "no todos los que dicen Jesus, Jesus entraran al Reino de los Cielos"... como es esto?

Primero, veamos en Juan 6, 29 "La obra de Dios consiste en que crean en aquel a quien él ha enviado”. Esto resume mucho lo que quiere decir el evangelio de hoy.

La Iglesia nos previene, constantemente, sobre los peligros de la Nueva Era, el ocultismo, el humanismo secular o cualquier otra filosofía similar que prometa algún tipo de “realización” aparte de Jesús. Esas creencias, que parecen tan razonables, inofensivas y atractivas, son por lo general sutilmente contrarias a la verdad del Evangelio del Señor, a pesar que incluso toman partes de la biblia para apoyar sus dichos.

O sea que, si se acuerdan del evangelio de ayer sobre los frutos del espiritu y le sumamos el de hoy sobre ser cuidadosos con lo que creemos...Jesús desea que lo conozcamos, para que tengamos una relación de íntima confianza y amor con él. Todo lo que nos pide es que le supliquemos humildemente: “Yo creo. ¡Ayúdame a creer más!” (véase Marcos 9, 24). Si le decimos honestamente a Cristo que creemos en él y le pedimos que se nos revele más claramente, podremos experimentar el poder de su amor y su presencia de un modo palpable. Este es el corazón del cristianismo. Amen

Well ... Jesus proposes today to "separate men from children in the faith" as the saying goes.

So, if you remember the gospel of yesterday about the fruits of the spirit and we add today's about being careful with what we believe ... Jesus wants us to know him, so that we have a relationship of intimate trust and love with him . All he asks is that we beg him humbly: "I believe. Help me to believe more! "(See Mark 9, 24). Los frutos del espiritu

Mt 7, 15-20

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "Cuidado con los falsos profetas. Se acercan a ustedes disfrazados de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces. Por sus frutos los conocerán. ¿Acaso se recogen uvas de los espinos o higos de los cardos?

Todo árbol bueno da frutos buenos y el árbol malo da frutos malos. Un árbol bueno no puede producir frutos malos y un árbol malo no puede producir frutos buenos. Todo árbol que no produce frutos buenos es cortado y arrojado al fuego. Así que por sus frutos los conocerán

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing,

and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,
nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down
and thrown into the fire.
So by their fruits you will know them."

Meditacion:

Hace unos dias yo les escribia sobre la necesidad de una cierta "gimnasia espiritual" y que no se hace sola, se hace tomando un primer paso para lograrlo.

Hoy Jesus nos dice por dos veces que "por sus frutos le conocereis". O sea que no alcanza con las buenas intenciones de ser bueno, de hacer las cosas bien si puestos ante la primera dificultad, tiramos todo por la borda y nos dedicamos a "hacer la nuestra".

Jesus nos habla de frutos como triunfos, no se premia el esfuerzo sino la recomenpensa, cualquiera sea, que nos acerque a la perfeccion de la vida en el amor.

Pero producir estos frutos es tarea de nosotros con la ayuda de Dios, una tarea voluntaria, de cada dia, de cada hora, de cada decision moral que tomamos en nuestras vidas.

Y tambien nos deja una advertencia sobre los "falsos profetas". En el dia de hoy, lamentablemente, los falsos profetas son los que mas abundan... personas, instituciones, compañias y corporaciones que estan ansiosas por brindarnos un falfso sentido de seguridad a cambio de un modico precio... Y en lo espiritual, hay tambien falsos profetas que prometen caminos rapidos a Dios sin mucho trabajo espiritual, que todo lo diluyen en un discurso seudo-personalista donde se pone primero al hombre y luego a Dios.

Tenganlo claro.. escapen de cualquiera que intente dejar a Dios en segundo plano, hemos sido creado por El a su imagen y semejanza, escogidos a mano para cumplir una mision en este planeta y poseemos y tenemos todo lo necesario para llevarlo a cabo.. es cuestion de ponerse en marcha.. y comenzar a producir los frutos del espiritu. Amen

A few days ago I wrote about the need for a certain "spiritual gymnastics" and that it is not done alone, it is done by taking a first step to achieve it.

And it also leaves us a warning about the "false prophets". Today, unfortunately, the false prophets are the most abundant ... people, institutions, companies and corporations that are anxious to give us a false sense of security in exchange for a price ... And spiritually, there are also false prophets who promise quick paths to God without much spiritual work, who dilute everything in a pseudo-personalist discourse where man and then God are put first.

Gimnasia espiritual

Mt 7, 6. 12-14

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "No den a los perros las cosas santas ni echen sus perlas a los cerdos, no sea que las pisoteen y después se vuelvan contra ustedes y los despedacen.

Traten a los demás como quieren que ellos los traten a ustedes. En esto se resumen la ley y los profetas.

Entren por la puerta estrecha; porque ancha es la puerta y amplio el camino que conduce a la perdición, y son muchos los que entran por él. Pero ¡qué estrecha es la puerta y qué angosto el camino que conduce a la vida, y qué pocos son los que lo encuentran!"

GospelMT 7:6, 12-14

Jesus said to his disciples:
"Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.

"Enter through the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction,
and those who enter through it are many.

Meditacion:

Hay días en los que simplemente no queremos hacer aquello que sabemos que es necesario para mantenernos en forma, porque si no estamos en buena forma nos sentimos cansados, desanimados, e incluso a veces adoloridos. Pero cuando reconocemos los beneficios del ejercicio nos sentimos motivados a continuar haciéndolo, porque el ejercicio nos ayuda a tonificar la musculatura, activar las articulaciones, perder peso, reducir la tensión, recuperar el buen humor y estimular la energía en general. Por el contrario, quienes no hacen ejercicio diariamente o periódicamente se sienten débiles, desarrollan ciertos males y el físico les va envejeciendo con mayor rapidez.

Es lo mismo cuando  consideramos la enseñanza de Jesús sobre el camino angosto. Esta imagen puede resultarnos amenazante cuando nos fijamos más en lo dificil que es el sendero. Por eso siempre es mejor tener presente el lugar al que nos lleva este camino: el gozo y la libertad. Cuando decidimos tomar el camino angosto, nos sentimos más libres, no menos. Por el contrario, el camino fácil y ancho nos aleja de Dios y nos hace sentirnos más vacíos y desprovistos de esperanza.

Sabemos lo que implica entrar por la “puerta estrecha”: la decisión de rezar o no rezar, servir o no servir, perdonar o no perdonar. Es posible que al principio no nos parece atractivo el tomar la decisión más difícil, pero tal como sucede con el ejercicio corporal, el beneficio nos llegará al final. Cuando ejercitamos las piernas, ellas se nos fortalecen; cuando “ejercitamos” el perdón, la misericordia se nos fortalece. Poco a poco, las decisiones diarias que tomamos de preferir a Dios nos van haciendo parecernos más a él.

Hoy, cuando encuentres una de esas “puertas estrechas”, trata de pensar que son oportunidades que se te están presentando. ¡Dios las ve así! Las ve como momentos de gracia para acercarte más a su lado. De esta forma, estás participando en el mejor programa de ejercicios que jamás haya existido: ¡Jesús te está poniendo en forma para llegar al cielo! Cualquier situación con la que te enfrentes en realidad forma parte del plan divino que tiene para tu preparación espiritual. Cada ejercicio que hagas te acerca más a tu meta: Dios mismo. Amen

It is the same when we consider the teaching of Jesus on the narrow road. This image can be threatening when we look more at how difficult the path is. That is why it is always better to keep in mind the place that this path leads us to: joy and freedom. When we decided to take the narrow road, we felt more free, not less. On the contrary, the easy and wide path distances us from God and makes us feel more empty and devoid of hope.

We know what it means to enter through the "narrow door": the decision to pray or not to pray, to serve or not to serve, to forgive or not to forgive. It is possible that at the beginning it does not seem attractive to us to make the most difficult decision, but as it happens with the corporal exercise, the benefit will reach us in the end. When we exercise the legs, they strengthen us; When we "exercise" forgiveness, mercy strengthens us. Little by little, the daily decisions we make of preferring God make us seem more like him.

Today, when you find one of those "narrow doors", try to think that these are opportunities that are being presented to you. God sees them like this! See them as moments of grace to get closer to your side. In this way, you are participating in the best exercise program that ever existed: Jesus is getting you in shape to get to heaven! Any situation that you face is actually part of the divine plan that you have for your spiritual preparation. Each exercise you do brings you closer to your goal: God himself. Amen

No juzguen,..

Mt 7, 1-5

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "No juzguen y no serán juzgados; porque así como juzguen los juzgarán y con la medida que midan los medirán.

¿Por qué miras la paja en el ojo de tu hermano y no te das cuenta de la viga que tienes en el tuyo? ¿Con qué cara le dices a tu hermano: 'Déjame quitarte la paja que llevas en el ojo', cuando tú llevas una viga en el tuyo? ¡Hipócrita! Sácate primero la viga que tienes en el ojo, y luego podrás ver bien para sacarle a tu hermano la paja que lleva en el suyo".

Jesus said to his disciples:
"Stop judging, that you may not be judged.
For as you judge, so will you be judged,
and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye,
but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother,
'Let me remove that splinter from your eye,'
while the wooden beam is in your eye?
You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first;
then you will see clearly
to remove the splinter from your brother's eye."

Meditacion:

Cuando ayer lei el evangelio para hoy, no pude mas que sonreir porque es una de esas cosas tan inherentemente humanas, tan profundamente arraigada en cada uno de nosotros que casi les diria es parte de nuestro ser como personas... el juzgar.

No estoy, por supuesto, disculpando esa bendita costumbre de poner "todo" en cajitas.. como? dejenme que les cuente algunas: "esta gorda", "es gay", "mira esta como se hace la santa". "le gusta tomar" y asi puedo seguir el dia completo... nos encanta juzgar porque nos da la seguridad de que es una persona y que no es (segun nosotros, claro).

Pero dejenme contarles que dice uno de mis santos preferidos, San Agustin: "El Señor nos previene de juzgar rápida e injustamente… Pensemos primero si no hemos tenido nosotros algún pecado semejante; reconozcamos que somos frágiles, y [juzguemos] siempre con la intención de servir a Dios y no a nosotros mismos.” Si cuando vemos los pecados de los hermanos pensamos en los nuestros, no nos pasará, como dice el Evangelio, que teniendo una viga en el ojo queramos sacar la paja en el ojo ajeno.

Jesus juzga de una manera muy dura este pecado porque? porque en el devenir de un alma, en su proceso de elevacion, pasamos por muchas etapas y es dificil saber en que etapa esa alma esta como para encima echarle el peso de nuestra mirada inquisita.. al final, es falta de amor, compasion y caridad por nuestro hermano que esta intentando (con todas sus fallas) hacer lo mejor que puede.

Debemos ver las fallas de los demas a traves de un manto de piedad, respeto y amor como Dios ve las nuestras. Imaginense si Dios nos mediria con la misma vara que nosotros tan alegremente usamos contra los demas.. no creo que quedarian muchas personas sobre este planeta. Amen

When yesterday I read the gospel for today, I could not help but smile because it is one of those things so inherently human, so deeply rooted in each one of us that I would almost say it is part of our being as people ... judging.

I'm not, of course, apologizing for that blessed habit of putting "everything" in boxes ... how? let me tell you some: "she is fat", "she is gay", "look how the saint is doing". "He likes to drink" and so I can continue the full day ... we love to judge because it gives us the assurance that it is a person and that it is not (according to us, of course).

But let me tell you what one of my favorite saints says, St. Augustine: "The Lord warns us to judge quickly and unjustly ... Let's think first if we have not had such a sin, recognize that we are fragile, and [judge] always with the intention of to serve God and not ourselves. "If, when we see the sins of the brothers, we think of ours, it will not happen to us, as the Gospel says, that having a beam in our eyes we want to take the straw in the eye of others.

Jesus judges this sin very hard because? because in the evolution of a soul, in its process of elevation, we go through many stages and it is difficult to know in what stage that soul is as above throwing the weight of our inquisitive gaze .. in the end, it is lack of love, compassion and Charity for our brother who is trying (with all his faults) to do the best he can.

We must see the faults of others through a cloak of piety, respect and love as God sees ours. Imagine if God would measure us with the same rod that we so happily use against others ... I do not think there would be many people left on this planet. Amen

Dos patrones...

Mt 6, 24-34

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Nadie puede servir a dos amos, porque odiará a uno y amará al otro, o bien obedecerá al primero y no hará caso al segundo. En resumen, no pueden ustedes servir a Dios y al dinero.

Por eso les digo que no se preocupen por su vida, pensando qué comerán o con qué se vestirán. ¿Acaso no vale más la vida que el alimento, y el cuerpo más que el vestido? Miren las aves del cielo, que ni siembran, ni cosechan, ni guardan en graneros y, sin embargo, el Padre celestial las alimenta. ¿Acaso no valen ustedes más que ellas? ¿Quién de ustedes, a fuerza de preocuparse, puede prolongar su vida siquiera un momento?

¿Y por qué se preocupan del vestido? Miren cómo crecen los lirios del campo, que no trabajan ni hilan. Pues bien, yo les aseguro que ni Salomón, en todo el esplendor de su gloria, se vestía como uno de ellos. Y si Dios viste así a la hierba del campo, que hoy florece y mañana es echada al horno, ¿no hará mucho más por ustedes, hombres de poca fe?

No se inquieten, pues, pensando: ¿Qué comeremos o qué beberemos o con qué nos vestiremos? Los que no conocen a Dios se desviven por todas estas cosas; pero el Padre celestial ya sabe que ustedes tienen necesidad de ellas. Por consiguiente, busquen primero el Reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas se les darán por añadidura. No se preocupen por el día de mañana, porque el día de mañana traerá ya sus propias preocupaciones. A cada día le bastan sus propios problemas”.

GospelMT 6:24-34

Jesus said to his disciples:
"No one can serve two masters.
He will either hate one and love the other,
or be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and mammon.

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or drink,
or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds in the sky;
they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns,
yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are not you more important than they?
Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?
Why are you anxious about clothes?
Learn from the way the wild flowers grow.
They do not work or spin.
But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor
was clothed like one of them.
If God so clothes the grass of the field,
which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow,
will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith?
So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?'
or 'What are we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?'
All these things the pagans seek.
Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness,

Meditacion:

Hace unos dias escribia yo sobre que hace falta vivir en la gracia de Dios y naturalmente llenarse de su amor y reflejarlo en obras de caridad.

En esta semana el evangelio nos habla insistentemente sobre el buscar el Reino de Dios. Hay algo curioso aca... Jesus nunca hablo del Reino de Dios, jamas dijo que era exactamente, siempre se refirio al Reino de Dios como un lugar donde habitariamos todos juntos en la contemplacion del amor perfecto del Padre.

Mas de esto mas adelante...

Como siempre Jesús nos vuelve al sentido común, a lo que es más importante en la vida. ¿Creén ustedes que es posible servir al mismo tiempo a sus deseos de poder y de riquezas y a la fraternidad del Reino que es lo que Dios quiere que hagamos? Es imposible. Son cosas que no pueden caminar juntas. Ya decía Mafalda, aquella niña argentina genial que Quino dibujó tantas veces, que es imposible amasar una fortuna sin antes hacer harina a los demás. Es un poco exagerado pero tiene mucho de verdad. 

 Pero Jesús va más allá. No sólo se trata de que no se pueda servir a dos señores. Es que además uno de esos señores, el de las riquezas y el poder, no es en realidad un señor. Es más bien el atajo que nos lleva a la soledad y a la muerte. Vivir agobiados por esos deseos es perdernos lo mejor de la vida, que es el encuentro gozoso con los hermanos, el trabajo común para construir un mundo mejor y más justo. Donde nadie sea excluido y, como consecuencia, yo, cada uno de nosotros, también tenga un lugar. Donde puedo vivir en comunidad sin sentirme amenazado. Donde pueda vivir en paz. 

Porque aquellos que buscan sólo el poder, las riquezas, el estar por encima de los demás, viven siempre amenazados, tienen miedo. Los demás son siempre una amenaza. Por arriba que hayan llegado en la escala social siempre están amenazados de caer. Y, quizá porque han subido mucho, la caída es mucho más dura. Los que se entregan a esas pasiones no conocen la paz ni el descanso, no conocen el gozo de dar la mano al hermano y compartir las esperanzas y las alegrías, y también los dolores y las penas, con los que nos rodean. Viven siempre solos y atemorizados. No conocen la verdadera amistad porque desconfían de todos. No vale la pena vivir así. 

Lo que Jesús nos dice es que vale mucho más la pena trabajar por la fraternidad y la justicia, por la vida de todos, por el bien de todos. Ahí sí que podemos encontrar la felicidad, la paz, la tranquilidad. Sin agobiarnos. Sin vivir atemorizados. Porque sabemos que, buscando el Reino de Dios y su justicia, todo lo demás se nos dará por añadidura.

Y aqui entonces comprendemos que es el Reino de Dios,, es reflejar en cada momento, en cada segundo, con nuestra vida lo que el evangelio dice. Buda decia algo muy interesante... si solo pudieramos estar consciente de nuestra propia vida de forma completa por un minuto, seriamos santos... a pensarlo mis amigos.. el camino de la santidad no solo pasa por la oracion sino por la conciencia de mi propia vida y mis hermanos. Amen

A few days ago I wrote about the need to live in the grace of God and naturally fill with his love and reflect it in works of charity.

In this week the gospel speaks to us insistently about seeking the Kingdom of God. There is something curious here ... Jesus never spoke of the Kingdom of God, never said it was exactly, always referred to the Kingdom of God as a place where we would all together in the contemplation of the perfect love of the Father.

As always Jesus brings us back to common sense, to what is most important in life. Do you believe that it is possible to serve both your desire for power and wealth and the fraternity of the Kingdom that is what God wants us to do? It is impossible. They are things that can not walk together. Mafalda already said, that great Argentinian girl that Quino drew so many times, that it is impossible to amass a fortune without first making flour to others. It is a bit exaggerated but it really has a lot of truth.

 But Jesus goes further. It's not just that you can not serve two masters. It is also that one of those gentlemen, that of riches and power, is not really a gentleman. It is rather the shortcut that leads us to loneliness and death. To live overwhelmed by those desires is to lose the best of life, which is the joyful encounter with our brothers and sisters, the common work to build a better and more just world. Where no one is excluded and, as a consequence, I, each one of us, also has a place. Where can I live in a community without feeling threatened? Where I can live in peace.

Because those who seek only power, riches, being above others, live always threatened, are afraid. The others are always a threat. Above they have reached the social scale are always threatened to fall. And, maybe because they have gone up a lot, the fall is much harder. Those who indulge in these passions do not know peace or rest, they do not know the joy of shaking hands with their brothers and sharing hopes and joys, and also the pains and sorrows with those around us. They always live alone and afraid. They do not know true friendship because they distrust everyone. It's not worth living like that.

What Jesus tells us is that it is much more worthwhile to work for fraternity and justice, for the life of all, for the good of all. There we can find happiness, peace, tranquility. Without overwhelming us. Without living scared. Because we know that, looking for the Kingdom of God and his justice, everything else will be given to us in addition.

And here then we understand that it is the Kingdom of God, it is to reflect in every moment, in every second, with our life what the gospel says. Buddha said something very interesting ... if we could only be aware of our own life completely for a minute, we would be holy ... to think it my friends .. the path of holiness not only passes through prayer but through conscience of my own life and my brothers.
