Confiar con fe y esperanza

Mt 13, 54-58

En aquel tiempo, Jesús llegó a su tierra y se puso a enseñar a la gente en la sinagoga, de tal forma, que todos estaban asombrados y se preguntaban: “¿De dónde ha sacado éste esa sabiduría y esos poderes milagrosos? ¿Acaso no es éste el hijo del carpintero? ¿No se llama María su madre y no son sus hermanos Santiago, José, Simón y Judas? ¿Qué no viven entre nosotros todas sus hermanas? ¿De dónde, pues, ha sacado todas estas cosas?” Y se negaban a creer en él.

Entonces, Jesús les dijo: “Un profeta no es despreciado más que en su patria y en su casa”. Y no hizo muchos milagros allí por la incredulidad de ellos.

Meditacion:

El Evangelio de hoy nos cuenta que Jesús no pudo hacer muchos milagros en su propia tierra porque la fe de la gente era débil. Estas personas no estaban gesticulando por luchas emocionales, pero aun así no podían rendirse ante el Señor. Se quedaron atrapados en su limitado razonamiento lógico, aun cuando él estaba ahí frente a ellos ofreciéndoles un camino de sanación y salvación.

En nuestro caminar con el Señor, nosotros también necesitamos aprender a rendirnos a su amor. Este es un elemento importante en el llamado a la fe: confiar en que él sabe lo que está haciendo y estar convencido de que él tiene poder suficiente para salvarte. Sí, la fe tiene que ver con conocer las doctrinas de la Iglesia, y también con hacer nuestro mejor esfuerzo para cumplir los mandamientos y para cuidar a los pobres y necesitados. También tiene que ver con el deber de compartir lo que creemos y defender lo que es correcto. Pero el requisito fundamental de la fe es el entregarnos a Dios de verdad. Sin esto, todo lo demás pierde su poder.

¿En qué cosas te quedas atrapado? ¿Temor al futuro? ¿Culpa o resentimientos del pasado? ¿Una visión “lógica” del presente que no deja espacio para la gracia de Dios? Lo que sea, recuerda que el Señor Jesús te está invitando a algo más grande. Imagínalo de pie frente a ti, con los brazos abiertos y te dice: “Relájate, yo te sostengo, puedes soltarte.”

“Señor Jesús, yo creo. Ayúdame cuando me falta fe. Por tu gracia, ayúdame a creer y a buscarte con confianza.” Amen

Today's Gospel tells us that Jesus could not do many miracles in his own land because the faith of the people was weak. These people were not gesturing for emotional struggles, but still could not surrender to the Lord. They were caught up in their limited logical reasoning, even as he stood there before them offering them a way of healing and salvation.

In our walk with the Lord, we too need to learn to surrender to His love. This is an important element in the call to faith: trust that he knows what he is doing and be convinced that he has enough power to save you. Yes, faith is about knowing the doctrines of the Church, and also doing our best to keep the commandments and to care for the poor and needy. It also has to do with the duty to share what we believe and defend what is right. But the fundamental requirement of faith is to truly surrender to God. Without this, everything else loses its power.

What things do you get caught up in? Fear of the future? Blame or resentment from the past? A "logical" vision of the present that leaves no room for God's grace? Whatever it is, remember that the Lord Jesus is inviting you to something greater. Imagine him standing in front of you, with open arms and he says to you: "Relax, I hold you, you can let go."

"Lord Jesus, I believe. Help me when I lack faith. By your grace, help me to believe and seek you with confidence. ” Amen

La red

Mt 13, 47-53

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a la multitud: “El Reino de los cielos se parece también a la red que los pescadores echan en el mar y recoge toda clase de peces. Cuando se llena la red, los pescadores la sacan a la playa y se sientan a escoger los pescados; ponen los buenos en canastos y tiran los malos. Lo mismo sucederá al final de los tiempos: vendrán los ángeles, separarán a los malos de los buenos y los arrojarán al horno encendido. Allí será el llanto y la desesperación.

¿Han entendido todo esto?’’ Ellos le contestaron: “Sí”. Entonces él les dijo: “Por eso, todo escriba instruido en las cosas del Reino de los cielos es semejante al padre de familia, que va sacando de su tesoro cosas nuevas y cosas antiguas”.

Y cuando acabó de decir estas parábolas, Jesús se marchó de allí.

Jesus said to the disciples:
“The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea,
which collects fish of every kind.

The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous

is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom

Meditacion:

Este evangelio nos presenta la realidad a la que algún día nos enfrentaremos, solo Dios sabe cuándo. Es por eso una nueva invitación para estar en vigilancia y oración. Cada momento en nuestra vida tenemos la oportunidad de elegir entre lo bueno y lo malo, entre el bien y el pecado. Cristo quiere que nos demos cuenta de esta realidad y que valoremos el gran premio para la eternidad. Ciertamente no es nada fácil mantenerse en vigilancia porque por todos lados estamos rodeados de tentaciones, pero nos preservaremos en la medida que esa fe en Jesús se haga realidad constantemente a través de un pensamiento, una jaculatoria, una renuncia por amor, una conquista ofrecida...

Como cristianos estamos llamados a ayudar a nuestros hermanos a llegar al cielo. El apóstol es una moneda de dos caras: por un lado está la oración y por otro el apostolado; no existen los santos egoístas. Vivo mi vocación en el trabajo, en la familia, con los amigos, ese es mi apostolado y también la manera de estar en vigilancia. Si quiero el cielo para mí, debo quererlo también para todos aquellos que me rodean.

Distinguir

Mt 13, 31-35

En aquel tiempo, Jesús propuso esta otra parábola a la muchedumbre: “El Reino de los cielos es semejante a la semilla de mostaza que un hombre siembra en su huerto. Ciertamente es la más pequeña de todas las semillas, pero cuando crece, llega a ser más grande que las hortalizas y se convierte en un arbusto, de manera que los pájaros vienen y hacen su nido en las ramas”.

Les dijo también otra parábola: “El Reino de los cielos se parece a un poco de levadura que tomó una mujer y la mezcló con tres medidas de harina, y toda la masa acabó por fermentar”.

Jesús decía a la muchedumbre todas estas cosas con parábolas, y sin parábolas nada les decía, para que se cumpliera lo que dijo el profeta: Abriré mi boca y les hablaré con parábolas; anunciaré lo que estaba oculto desde la creación del mundo.

Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds.

All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables.
He spoke to them only in parables,
to fulfill what had been said through the prophet:

I will open my mouth in parables,
I will announce what has lain hidden from the foundation
of the world.

Distinguir: ahí tenemos una operación importante de la inteligencia humana. Y Jesús sabía distinguir. Quizá, a primera vista, confundimos un grano de arena y un grano de mostaza. Pueden medir y pesar prácticamente lo mismo, pero pertenecen a reinos diferentes de la naturaleza: el de los minerales y el de los vegetales. No sembramos granos de arena; sembramos semillas vivas, por menudas que sean, porque alojan en sí un potencial inmenso. Y la levadura es un hongo microscópico, pero desde antiguo conocían las amas de casa y hoy conocen los industriales los efectos que produce en los procesos de fermentación.

Todos los comienzos en el orden de la vida, y  también en el orden de ese otro reino que es el Reino de Dios, el Reino de la gracia, son pequeños…, pero seminales. A una mirada corta y superficial le parecerán insignificantes, pero el defecto está en la mirada, no en la vida y sus inicios. Jesús pudo toparse con personas decepcionadas ante arranque tan menudo del señorío de Dios, que, por añadidura, venía de manos de un galileo y tenían lugar en la tierra desprestigiada de Galilea. Él podía replicarles: «Vosotros no veis más allá de un palmo ni conocéis la promesa de las cosas. Vuestra impaciencia os lleva a ver un huevo y querer oírlo cantar. La esperanza es aguardar a oírlo cantar, es ver una semilla, conocer el potencial que lleva dentro y adivinar e imaginar el término a que está destinada. Principio quieren las cosas, principio quieren las cosas de Dios. Donde para vosotros está el desengaño, para otros está la revelación».

Santiago

Mt 20, 20-28

En aquel tiempo, se acercó a Jesús la madre de los hijos de Zebedeo, junto con ellos, y se postró para hacerle una petición. Él le preguntó: “¿Qué deseas?” Ella respondió: “Concédeme que estos dos hijos míos se sienten, uno a tu derecha y el otro a tu izquierda, en tu Reino”. Pero Jesús replicó: “No saben ustedes lo que piden. ¿Podrán beber el cáliz que yo he de beber?” Ellos contestaron: “Sí podemos”. Meditacion:

Hoy celebramos la fiesta del Apóstol Santiago.

Y el evangelio nos presenta esta "pelea por quien se cuelga los trapos", quien es mas importante.

La verdad causa un poco de gracia la ingenuidad de los apóstoles Juan y Santiago, mandando a su mama a hablar con Jesus para asegurarse los mejores lugares en el cielo... lo que causo una bronca barbara con los otros apóstoles y en la cual Jesus tuvo que intervenir.

Sin embargo luego de la muerte de Jesus, el mismo Santiago viajaría en un largo recorrido por toda Europa hasta España; de alli, volvería a Roma donde fue decapitado y su cuerpo seria repatriado a España donde se perdió por muchos años.

Existe una leyenda que afirma que el cuerpo de Santiago fue transportado en un misterioso barco no tripulado, que cuando llegó a España, el barco fue enterrado en secreto. Tras haber estado “perdido” por siglos, su cuerpo fue hallado en la Edad Media debido a una misteriosa luz que iluminaba el lugar donde se encontraba. Al principio, ese lugar fue llamado “Campus Stellae”, o sea, campo de la estrella; pero con el tiempo, el nombre fue abreviado a Compostela. Al añadir el nombre del apóstol, el lugar se llama ahora Santiago de Compostela.

Hoy, rememorando al Santo y sus viajes, muchos peregrinos recorren el "Camino de Santiago" a traves de España. Como en la vida, el camino a veces es suave, a veces dificil e involucra subir montañas.

Ya sea que alguna vez recorras o no el “Camino de Santiago” en España, tú siempre estás en una peregrinación, así que pídele a Santiago, el patrón de los peregrinos, que interceda para que tú te acerques más al Señor a cada paso que des.

Sembrando

Mt 13, 18-23

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Escuchen ustedes lo que significa la parábola del sembrador. A todo hombre que oye la palabra del Reino y no la entiende, le llega el diablo y le arrebata lo sembrado en su corazón. Esto es lo que significan los granos que cayeron a lo largo del camino.

Lo sembrado sobre terreno pedregoso significa al que oye la palabra y la acepta inmediatamente con alegría; pero, como es inconstante, no la deja echar raíces, y apenas le viene una tribulación o una persecución por causa de la palabra, sucumbe.

Lo sembrado entre los espinos representa a aquel que oye la palabra, pero las preocupaciones de la vida y la seducción de las riquezas, la sofocan y queda sin fruto.

En cambio, lo sembrado en tierra buena, representa a quienes oyen la palabra, la entienden y dan fruto; unos, el ciento por uno; otros, el sesenta; y otros, el treinta’

GospelMT 13:18-23

“Hear the parable of the sower.

Meditacion:

En la Palabra de hoy el profeta Jeremías nos ofrece un motivo para la esperanza. El Señor pide volver la vista a Él y nos promete pastores a mi gusto que os apacienten con saber y acierto.

Seguro que más de una vez hemos pedido al dueño de sembradio que nos envíe buenos pastores, personas con carisma que tiren del carro y que nos orienten en nuestra labor misionera.

En estos tiempos en los que los “frutos pastorales” son cada vez más escasos (menos jóvenes en los grupos, disminución de vocaciones religiosas y sacerdotales,...), tenemos la sensación de estar perdidos, de no saber muy bien qué hacer o por dónde ir. Todos andamos buscando nuevos caminos y personas que aporten luces sobre esta realidad. Asistimos a charlas, hacemos cursillos, ensayamos nuevas experiencias pastorales,... pero no acabamos de dar con la respuesta acertada. Quizá nos toque vivir confiando en la promesa del Señor, vivir sabiendo que Él no nos abandona, que sigue velando por su viña y sigue enviando pastores, aunque nosotros no los percibamos.

En el Evangelio Jesús nos explica la parábola del sembrador. Nos habla de la diferencia que hay entre los que escuchan la Palabra y la comprenden, y los que la escuchan pero no la comprenden. Muchos pensarán que en este mundo, con tantas “interferencias”, es difícil no sólo comprender, sino el mismo hecho de escuchar. Y es cierto, pero los mayores “ruidos” quizá no vengan del exterior, sino que los tengamos en nuestro interior. Nuestras raíces son débiles, somos inconstantes; el orgullo, el afán de tener, el egoísmo... son zarzas difíciles de arrancar de nuestro corazón. A lo largo de la vida vamos ganando distintas batallas (terminamos una carrera, vamos sacando adelante una familia, vemos los frutos de nuestro trabajo,...), pero se nos resiste la batalla que mantenemos en nuestro interior por desterrar esas zarzas que a veces nos ahogan y no dejan salir lo mejor de nosotros mismos.

Gracias a Dios, en nuestro corazón también hay lugar (y mucho, por cierto) para la tierra buena. Todos tenemos la experiencia de sentir que la Palabra resuena con fuerza en nuestro corazón y de entregarnos de verdad. El haber degustado esta experiencia, el ver que es en esos momentos cuando nos sentimos más plenos, es lo que nos anima a reforzar nuestras raíces y a querer desterrar del corazón las piedras y las zarzas que no nos dejan ser nosotros mismos.

Ojalá que la semilla sembrada en nuestros corazones dé mucho fruto.

We are all looking for new paths and people to shed light on this reality. We attend talks, do short courses, rehearse new pastoral experiences, ... but we just can't find the right answer. Perhaps we will have to live trusting in the promise of the Lord, living knowing that He does not abandon us, that he continues to watch over his vineyard and continues to send shepherds, even if we do not perceive them.

In the Gospel, Jesus explains the parable of the sower. It tells us of the difference between those who hear the Word and understand it, and those who hear it but do not understand it. Many will think that in this world, with so many "interferences", it is difficult not only to understand, but the very fact of listening. And it's true, but the biggest "noises" may not come from the outside, but we have them inside. Our roots are weak, we are fickle; pride, eagerness to have, selfishness ... are brambles difficult to pluck from our hearts. Throughout life we ​​win different battles (we finish a race, we are raising a family, we see the fruits of our work, ...), but we resist the battle that we keep within ourselves to banish those brambles that Sometimes they choke us and do not let the best of ourselves come out.

Thank God, in our hearts there is also a place (and a lot, by the way) for the good land. We all have the experience of feeling that the Word resonates strongly in our hearts and of giving ourselves truly. Having tasted this experience, seeing that it is in those moments when we feel fuller, is what encourages us to strengthen our roots and to want to banish from the heart the stones and brambles that do not let us be ourselves.

Hopefully the seed sown in our hearts will bear much fruit.

Parabolas

Mt 13, 10-17

En aquel tiempo, se acercaron a Jesús sus discípulos y le preguntaron: “¿Por qué les hablas en parábolas?” El les respondió: “A ustedes se les ha concedido conocer los misterios del Reino de los cielos; pero a ellos no. Al que tiene se le dará más y nadará en la abundancia; pero al que tiene poco, aun eso poco se le quitará. Por eso les hablo en parábolas, porque viendo no ven y oyendo no oyen ni entienden.

En ellos se cumple aquella profecía de Isaías que dice: Ustedes oirán una y otra vez y no entenderán; mirarán y volverán a mirar, pero no verán; porque este pueblo ha endurecido su corazón, ha cerrado sus ojos y tapado sus oídos, con el fin de no ver con los ojos ni oír con los oídos, ni comprender con el corazón. Porque no quieren convertirse ni que yo los salve.

Pero, dichosos ustedes, porque sus ojos ven y sus oídos oyen. Yo les aseguro que muchos profetas y muchos justos desearon ver lo que ustedes ven y no lo vieron y oír lo que ustedes oyen y no lo oyeron’’.

Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says:

You shall indeed hear but not understand,
you shall indeed look but never see.
Gross is the heart of this people,
they will hardly hear with their ears,
they have closed their eyes,
lest they see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their hearts and be converted
and I heal them.

“But blessed are your eyes, because they see,

Meditacion:

Verdaderamente es interesante la forma en la que Dios nos creó. El cuerpo humano fue diseñado de tal manera que entre más lo ejercitamos, mejor se desempeña. Por ejemplo, todos tenemos más o menos el mismo número de células en el cerebro, pero el número de conexiones entre estas células aumenta según lo mucho que se estimulen. De igual manera, los músculos se fortalecen con el ejercicio o se debilitan si no los utilizamos.

Lo mismo sucede con la fe, según podemos ver en la explicación que el Señor Jesús dio de sus parábolas. Aquellos que “tienen” recibirán más. Pero, ¿qué es lo que “tiene” la gente? Pues, un corazón abierto al Evangelio y deseoso de creer en el Señor. Aquellos que “no tienen” han cerrado el corazón y se han alejado de la gracia que Dios les está ofreciendo. Nadie les está quitando nada; ellos han decidido perderlo.

La forma en que tratas la fe que tienes depende de ti, y esa verdad puede causar algo de temor. ¡Es tanto lo que depende de ti!

Si esta es la forma en la que piensas, procura ver la fe como una oportunidad y no como un riesgo. Vivir la fe es permitirle que Dios te cambie constantemente a su imagen y semejanza. Si aceptas la palabra del Señor, él promete que serás “rico”, no financieramente hablando, sino espiritualmente. Piensa en todos los santos que empezaron solamente con una semilla de mostaza de fe y terminaron cambiando el mundo. Realmente, nos arriesgamos a perder mucho más si no asumimos riesgos de fe.

La mayoría de nosotros enfrenta al menos una situación difícil. Tal vez una amistad que perdió todo sabor, pero no te atreves a dar el primer paso y buscar el perdón. Tal vez quieres rezar junto con un amigo y pedir curación, pero su posible reacción te pone nervioso. O tal vez deseas confesarte, pero te preocupa la forma en que serás recibido. Es en estos momentos en los que el Señor nos dice: “¡Baja de la barca! Aunque te parezca que no hay nada debajo, yo te sostengo.” Deposita tu vida en sus manos, ¡él jamás te soltarárá!

“Señor, ayúdame a confiar en ti más profundamente. Dame la valentía de ejercitar mi fe.” Amen

Truly the way God created us is interesting. The human body was designed in such a way that the more we exercise it, the better it performs. For example, we all have roughly the same number of cells in the brain, but the number of connections between these cells increases depending on how much they are stimulated. Likewise, muscles become stronger with exercise or weaken if we don't use them.

The same happens with faith, as we can see in the explanation that the Lord Jesus gave of his parables. Those who "have" will receive more. But what is it that "people" have? Well, a heart open to the Gospel and eager to believe in the Lord. Those who "have not" have closed their hearts and have turned away from the grace that God is offering them. No one is taking anything from them; they have decided to lose it.

How you treat your faith is up to you, and that truth can be scary. So much depends on you!

If this is the way you think, try to see faith as an opportunity and not as a risk. Living the faith is allowing God to constantly change you in his image and likeness. If you accept the word of the Lord, he promises that you will be "rich", not financially speaking, but spiritually. Think of all the saints who started with just a mustard seed of faith and ended up changing the world. Really, we risk losing much more if we don't take risks of faith.

Most of us face at least one difficult situation. Perhaps a friendship that lost all flavor, but you do not dare to take the first step and seek forgiveness. Maybe you want to pray together with a friend and ask for healing, but his possible reaction makes you nervous. Or maybe you want to confess, but you are concerned about how you will be received. It is in these moments that the Lord tells us: “Get out of the boat! Although it seems to you that there is nothing underneath, I support you. ” Put your life in his hands, he will never release you!

Lord, help me to trust you more deeply. Give me the courage to exercise my faith. ” Amen

Jn 20, 1-2. 11-18

El primer día después del sábado, estando todavía oscuro, fue María Magdalena al sepulcro y vio removida la piedra que lo cerraba. Echó a correr, llegó a la casa donde estaban Simón Pedro y el otro discípulo, a quien Jesús amaba, y les dijo: “Se han llevado del sepulcro al Señor y no sabemos dónde lo habrán puesto”.

María se había quedado llorando junto al sepulcro de Jesús. Sin dejar de llorar, se asomó al sepulcro y vio dos ángeles vestidos de blanco, sentados en el lugar donde había estado el cuerpo de Jesús, uno en la cabecera y el otro junto a los pies. Los ángeles le preguntaron: “¿Por qué estás llorando, mujer?” Ella les contestó: “Porque se han llevado a mi Señor y no sé dónde lo habrán puesto”.

Dicho esto, miró hacia atrás y vio a Jesús de pie, pero no sabía que era Jesús. Entonces él le dijo: “Mujer, ¿por qué estás llorando? ¿A quién buscas?” Ella, creyendo que era el jardinero, le respondió: “Señor, si tú te lo llevaste, dime dónde lo has puesto”. Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early in the morning,
while it was still dark,

“They have taken the Lord from the tomb,
and we don’t know where they put him.”

Mary stayed outside the tomb weeping.

Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples,
“I have seen the Lord,”

Meditacion:

¡Imagínate cómo sería estar poseída por siete demonios! Cuánto alivio y gratitud le deben haber llenado el corazón cuando el Señor la liberó. ¡Finalmente podía volver a una vida normal!

Pero no fue así. En lugar de quedarse en su pueblo de Magdala, abandonó todo para seguir al Señor. Se reunió con otras mujeres que también habían sido sanadas por Jesús y lo acompañó dondequiera que él fuera y, junto con las demás, le sirvió a él y a sus apóstoles incluso con sus propios medios (Lucas 8, 3).

Esa fue una decisión radical, y sin duda impresionante para la gente. Una mujer que llevara su tipo de vida en aquellos días era objeto de rechazo y desconfianza. Pero María estaba decidida a seguir a Jesucristo a donde él la guiara. Al final, lo siguió en el camino al Calvario y después hasta la tumba. Fue ahí donde se encontró con Cristo resucitado y él le encomendó la misión de anunciar su resurrección a los apóstoles.

Probablemente cada uno de nosotros puede recordar momentos en los que Dios nos ha dado libertad; tal vez de algún vicio o debilidad que nos paralice de alguna manera. Y aunque experimentar la misericordia de Dios es maravilloso, es aún más maravilloso pensar que la sanación y la liberación nos permiten vivir más radicalmente para el Señor. Pero no te preocupes, no tienes que seguir el ejemplo de María y convertirte en misionero ambulante.

Por ejemplo, si has logrado pagar una deuda antigua, quizás podrías ser más generoso con los pobres. O tal vez si has sanado de una enfermedad te sea posible levantarte más temprano cada día para rezar y leer la Biblia. O si te has reconciliado con un familiar, a lo mejor esto abre la puerta para que compartas tu fe con él más abiertamente. El Señor Jesús se deleita en sanarnos y en acercarnos a él.

En este día, pídele a Santa María Magdalena que interceda por nosotros. Que podamos seguir al Señor donde sea que él nos lleve, y convertirnos en discípulos dispuestos a arriesgarnos por nuestro Salvador, que nos ha sanado y liberado.

“Señor Jesús, dame tu fuerza, quiero seguirte a donde sea que vayas.”

Imagine what it would be like to be possessed by seven demons! How much relief and gratitude must have filled her heart when the Lord released her. I could finally go back to a normal life!

But it was not like that. Instead of staying in her Magdala village, she abandoned everything to follow the Lord. She met other women who had also been healed by Jesus and accompanied her wherever she went and, along with the others, served her and her apostles even on her own means (Luke 8, 3).

That was a radical decision, and certainly impressive for people. A woman who led her way of life in those days was rejected and mistrusted. But Mary was determined to follow Jesus Christ where he would lead her. In the end, she followed him on the way to Calvary and then to the grave. It was there that she met the risen Christ and she entrusted her with the mission of announcing her resurrection to the apostles.

Probably each one of us can remember moments when God has given us freedom; perhaps some vice or weakness that paralyzes us in some way. And while experiencing God's mercy is wonderful, it is even more wonderful to think that healing and deliverance allow us to live more radically for the Lord. But don't worry, you don't have to follow Mary's example and become a traveling missionary.

For example, if you have managed to pay off an old debt, perhaps you could be more generous to the poor. Or maybe if you have healed from an illness you may be able to get up earlier each day to pray and read the Bible. Or if you've reconciled with a family member, maybe this opens the door for you to share your faith with him more openly. The Lord Jesus delights to heal us and draw us closer to him.

On this day, ask Saint Mary Magdalene to intercede for us. May we follow the Lord wherever he takes us, and become disciples willing to risk for our Savior, who has healed and delivered us.

"Lord Jesus, give me your strength, I want to follow you wherever you go."
