En cierta ocasión, los discípulos se acercaron a Jesús y le preguntaron: "¿Quién es más grande en el Reino de los cielos?"

Jesús llamó a un niño, lo puso en medio de ellos y les dijo: "Yo les aseguro a ustedes que si no cambian y no se hacen como los niños, no entrarán en el Reino de los cielos. Así pues, quien se haga pequeño como este niño, ése es el más grande en el Reino de los cielos. Y el que reciba a un niño como éste en mi nombre, me recibe a mí.

Cuidado con despreciar a uno de estos pequeños, pues yo les digo que sus ángeles, en el cielo, ven continuamente el rostro de mi Padre, que está en el cielo''.

The disciples approached Jesus and said,
"Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?"
He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said,
"Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children,
you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.
Whoever humbles himself like this child
is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.
And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.

"See that you do not despise one of these little ones,
for I say to you that their angels in heaven
always look upon the face of my heavenly Father."

Meditacion:

No, no se equivoca el que se pregunta si no hemos leido el mismo evangelio un par de dias atras.

El sabado pasado leimos la version de San Lucas y hoy la de San Mateo.

Hoy se celebra la fiesta de los angeles guardianes.

Y es por eso que las lecturas se refieren a los angeles, esos guardianes y ayudantes en nuestra elevacion a los que la mayoria de las veces prestamos poca atencion y menos gratitud.

San Pío de Pietrelcina lo llamaba “mi amigo desde la infancia”. Eran compañeros desde la niñez y compartían mucho durante el día. Conversaban a diario y se mantuvieron en contacto toda la vida. El Padre Pío estaba convencido de que siempre podía confiar en el apoyo de su amigo en todos los altos y bajos que hubo en su vida. ¿Quién era este amigo tan apreciado? Nada menos que su ángel de la guarda.

Podría parecer que las palabras de San Padre Pío son un poco ilusorias, pero la Iglesia nos enseña que cada uno de nosotros tiene un ángel custodio que nos acompaña a lo largo de toda la vida. ¡Incluso la Virgen María y todos los santos tuvieron sus propios ángeles de la guarda! Piensa en esto: Dios te ama tanto que te ha dado un ser celestial que te protege y te guía. ¡Así de grande es su anhelo de llevarte al cielo!

Tal vez uno se pregunte: Si esto es cierto, ¿por qué no escuchamos la voz de nuestro ángel? ¿Por qué no lo vemos? Pues es lo mismo que con nuestra relación con el Señor. Desarrollar una relación con tu ángel de la guarda significa aprender a “percibir” su presencia invisible y constante.

De la misma forma en que le hablas a Jesús en tu corazón y tratas de discernir su voz en el pensamiento y la imaginación, así también puedes hablar con tu ángel custodio. Si te hace falta sabiduría, puedes pedirle a él que interceda por ti o te ayude a dilucidar cualquier problema difícil. También puedes pedirle que te cuide cuando tienes que afrontar una situación difícil o desconocida. Y si sientes una repentina inspiración cuando tomas una decisión o tratas de discernir qué camino seguir, bien podría ser que tu ángel guardián te esté ayudando en lo que necesitas.

“Invoca a tu ángel de la guarda”, decía el Padre Pío, “pues él te guiará.” Él solía hablar con su ángel con la fe de un niño, y así descubrió que tenía un amigo celestial que lo guiaba y lo protegía. Hoy, en el día en que honramos a los ángeles custodios, ¿por qué no dedicas unos minutos a hablar con tu ángel? Pídele la ayuda que necesites y verás lo que sucede. Solo hace falta actuar con fe y sencillez. Él está siempre atento a lo que le pidas y deseoso de ayudarte, sobre todo en tu caminar hacia la salvación.

“Padre celestial, gracias por darme un ángel que me protege y me guía.” Amen

You may wonder: If this is true, why don't we hear the voice of our angel? Why don't we see it? For it is the same as with our relationship with the Lord. Developing a relationship with your guardian angel means learning to "perceive" their invisible and constant presence.

In the same way that you speak to Jesus in your heart and try to discern his voice in thought and imagination, so you can also speak with your guardian angel. If you lack wisdom, you can ask him to intercede for you or help you figure out any difficult problems. You can also ask him to take care of you when you have to face a difficult or unknown situation. And if you feel a sudden inspiration when you make a decision or try to discern which way to go, it could well be that your guardian angel is helping you in what you need.

"Summon your guardian angel," said Padre Pio, "for he will guide you." He used to speak with his angel with the faith of a child, and thus discovered that he had a heavenly friend who guided and protected him. Today, on the day we honor the guardian angels, why don't you spend a few minutes talking to your angel? Ask for the help you need and you will see what happens. You just need to act with faith and simplicity. He is always attentive to what you ask and eager to help you, especially in your walk towards salvation.
