Mc 6, 30-34

GospelMK 6:30-34
The Apostles gathered together with Jesus
and reported all they had done and taught.
He said to them,
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”
People were coming and going in great numbers,
and they had no opportunity even to eat.
So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place.
People saw them leaving and many came to know about it.
They hastened there on foot from all the towns
and arrived at the place before them.
and reported all they had done and taught.
When Jesus disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd;
and he began to teach them many things.
his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd;
and he began to teach them many things.

Meditacion:
Amen

The apostles returned! I imagine how excited they would be to tell Jesus how they were doing. And Jesus treats them like his family, wants to pamper them and be alone with them because with so many people around it was impossible.
Every day it is necessary to do what Jesus did, walk away to tell us about our day, put our problems in his hands, thank him for everything he gives us. God speaks in silence and prayer, not in noise.
But people guess their intentions and follow them. Look at something here that surely you had not thought before.
In general people need love, we all like to feel appreciated and loved. Jesus was and is love itself, that is, instinctively, people followed him because they felt loved and appreciated by Him, whatever they were.
Jesus loved everyone without conditions, without asking them to change or be something else. That is the example we must remember. Love does not set conditions, accept.
But let's continue ... Jesus and the apostles in the boat, a whole town following them along the shore ... until they waited for him where they were going to disembark.
And here love manifests itself again. The writing says that "he felt sorry for them, because they walked like sheep without a shepherd" and began to teach them again. Love in action, love that reacts automatically to people's needs. I don't care how or who you are, I will teach you to love.
That is the message of this Saturday, let's learn to love without conditions and with total acceptance. Then, brothers, we will be free; San Agustin has a phrase that sums it up "Love and do what you want"
“Thank you, Lord and my Savior, for calling me by your side. Here I am, Lord! Come and fill me. ”Amen
