Mc 6, 53-56

GospelMK 6:53-56
After making the crossing to the other side of the sea,
Jesus and his disciples came to land at Gennesaret
and tied up there.
As they were leaving the boat, people immediately recognized him.
They scurried about the surrounding country
and began to bring in the sick on mats
to wherever they heard he was.
Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered,
they laid the sick in the marketplaces
and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak;
and as many as touched it were healed.

Meditacion:
Amen

And we start a new week.
Today's gospel is short, minimal and if I don't start by telling you the first reading, it's like we don't say much.
In the first reading, King David finishes the construction of the Temple of Jerusalem and brings the ark of the covenant to install it inside the temple.
to overcome the temple of Jerusalem, its culmination was Jesus. Everything that the temple represented in the Old Testament, Jesus embodies in the New. We see it in this Gospel passage today. His fame has spread, and everyone wants to see him, and heal the sick. They gather around him. And Jesus gets to it, as always, in body and soul. Simply touch the edge of your mantle to be healed.
The Hebrews recognized the divine presence in the Tables of the Law, kept in the Ark and therefore respected the temple and went there to pray. Today we don't need a concrete place to give glory to God. Thanks to Him, we can find him everywhere. Of course there are sacred places, churches, chapels, but it is possible to worship it anywhere. It is a good day to consider with what spirit and where I look for Jesus. Do I always look for it, at all times of my life, or only when I feel bad? Do I see it present in the events of my life? Did I start the day in your presence, with a prayer? Let us not forget. Let's take advantage that God is always close to us.
“My Lord Jesus Christ, you can do what seems impossible, so I ask for the healing I need for myself or my loved one.” Amen
