Mirar hacia adentro

Mc 7, 14-23

En aquel tiempo, Jesús llamó de nuevo a la gente y les dijo: “Escúchenme todos y entiéndanme. Nada que entre de fuera puede manchar al hombre; lo que sí lo mancha es lo que sale de dentro”.

Cuando entró en una casa para alejarse de la muchedumbre, los discípulos le preguntaron qué quería decir aquella parábola. Él les dijo: “¿Ustedes también son incapaces de comprender? ¿No entienden que nada de lo que entra en el hombre desde afuera puede contaminarlo, porque no entra en su corazón, sino en el vientre y después, sale del cuerpo?” Con estas palabras declaraba limpios todos los alimentos.

Luego agregó: “Lo que sí mancha al hombre es lo que sale de dentro; porque del corazón del hombre salen las intenciones malas, las fornicaciones, los robos, los homicidios, los adulterios, las codicias, las injusticias, los fraudes, el desenfreno, las envidias, la difamación, el orgullo y la frivolidad. Todas estas maldades salen de dentro y manchan al hombre”.

GospelMK 7:14-23

Jesus summoned the crowd again and said to them,
“Hear me, all of you, and understand.
Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person;
but the things that come out from within are what defile.”

When he got home away from the crowd
his disciples questioned him about the parable.
He said to them,
“Are even you likewise without understanding?
Do you not realize that everything
that goes into a person from outside cannot defile,
since it enters not the heart but the stomach
and passes out into the latrine?”
(Thus he declared all foods clean.)
“But what comes out of the man, that is what defiles him.
From within the man, from his heart,
come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder,
adultery, greed, malice, deceit,
licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly.
All these evils come from within and they defile.”

Meditacion:

Siguen las explicaciones de Jesús, para que se le entienda de forma correcta. Para que las normas tengan sentido, para devolver el significado que, con el paso del tiempo, muchas habían perdido.

Y también quiere que pensemos más en nosotros y menos en los demás. Todos los que se oponían a Jesús estaban pendientes de Él, observándole, y buscando cómo atacarle. No tenían ninguna capacidad de reflexión, de autocrítica. Como los adolescentes, no escuchaban lo que Jesús decía. Lo rechazan simplemente porque lo decía Jesús.

Palabras, las de Cristo, pronunciadas hace más de 2000 mil años, pero que siguen siendo muy actuales. Nos cuesta mucho mirar en nuestro interior, y aceptar nuestros errores, nuestras culpas. No sabemos, o no queremos reconocer el motivo profundo de lo que hacemos. Las motivaciones siempre hay que depurarlas. Es bueno pararse, pensar en el motivo que nos lleva a hacer algo.

Estaría muy bien, al final del día, hacer un examen de conciencia. Pensar en lo que hemos hecho, a lo largo de la jornada, y por qué y para qué lo hemos hecho. Dar gracias a Dios por lo bueno que hemos vivido, por el bien que hayamos podido hacer, y pedir perdón por lo que hayamos hecho mal, o por lo que no hayamos hecho. Y si hemos obrado con mala intención, por quedar bien o por aparentar, hacer propósito de enmienda, y  procurar hacer todo “por el amor de Dios”.

Quizá nosotros no seamos tan sabios como Salomón, pero podemos avanzar por el camino de la sabiduría, revisando nuestra vida y sabiendo leer nuestras motivaciones. Y, con humildad, reconocer que no siempre lo hacemos todo bien. La sabiduría es un don de Dios, conviene pedirla a menudo.

“Jesús, Señor y Salvador mío, confieso que soy pecador y que necesito tu misericordia y tu perdón. Pon en mí un corazón limpio y dócil, para amarte de verdad y llenarme nuevamente de tu amor.” Amen

They follow the explanations of Jesus, so that he is understood correctly. For the rules to make sense, to return the meaning that, over time, many had lost.

And he also wants us to think more about ourselves and less about others. All who opposed Jesus were watching Him, watching Him, and looking for how to attack Him. They had no capacity for reflection, for self-criticism. Like teenagers, they didn't listen to what Jesus said. They reject it simply because Jesus said so.

Words, those of Christ, pronounced more than 2000 thousand years ago, but which are still very current. We have a hard time looking inside, and accepting our mistakes, our faults. We do not know, or do not want to recognize the deep motive of what we do. Motivations must always be refined. It is good to stop, think about the reason that leads us to do something.

It would be great, at the end of the day, to take a conscience test. Think about what we have done, throughout the day, and why and why we have done it. Thank God for the good we have lived, for the good we have been able to do, and ask forgiveness for what we have done wrong, or for what we have not done. And if we have acted with bad intention, to look good or to appear, make an amendment, and try to do everything "for the love of God."

We may not be as wise as Solomon, but we can move forward on the path of wisdom, reviewing our lives and knowing how to read our motivations. And, with humility, recognize that we don't always do everything right. Wisdom is a gift from God, it is convenient to ask for it often.

“Jesus, Lord and my Savior, I confess that I am a sinner and that I need your mercy and forgiveness. Put on me a clean and docile heart, to truly love you and fill me with your love again. ”Amen
