Misionar

Mc 6, 7-13

GospelMK 6:7-13

Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two
and gave them authority over unclean spirits.
He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick
–no food, no sack, no money in their belts.
They were, however, to wear sandals but not a second tunic.
He said to them,
“Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave from there.
Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you,
leave there and shake the dust off your feet
in testimony against them.”
So they went off and preached repentance.
The Twelve drove out many demons,
and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.

Meditacion:
Amen

In the past days the gospel told us about faith. Faith to believe that a miracle was possible, faith to see Jesus and believe in Him.
Today the gospel proposes us to use that faith and go out to share it.
A Christian who does not preach, who does not reflect with his life, who is afraid of being told or embarrassed, has not yet understood that being a Christian is to take risks, is to propose, is to speak and defend his truths, respecting each one's spiritual path but making it clear where we are going.
Let us not be afraid, Jesus sent his disciples only with what they put on, without money and without clothes, rather than putting them on and told them that if they did not receive them, they would simply go on their way.
And this look is very important. He did not tell us to convert everyone, to believe that we were the only ones; if the people of a place reject them, shake to the dust of the sandals.
In other words, the evangelizing mission along with faith must have a lot of humility; a rock is pierced by a drop of water over a long time and if we try to make a plant grow by pulling up, we will only get it loose from its roots and die. Trust, prayer, faith and joy are the elements of a good missionary and definitely of every Christian.
This will grow your faith and your confidence, and you can dare to share the Gospel with other people the next time you have the opportunity. Take that step today, and see how God shows you his help.
“Holy Spirit, teach us to realize how much we need to believe and hope in God's love. Forgive, Lord, our unbelief. ”Amen
