Mt 21, 33-43. 45-46
En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a los sumos sacerdotes y a los ancianos del pueblo esta parábola: "Había una vez un propietario que plantó un viñedo, lo rodeó con una cerca, cavó un lagar en él, construyó una torre para el vigilante y luego la alquiló a unos viñadores y se fue de viaje.
Llegado el tiempo de la vendimia, envió a sus criados para pedir su parte de los frutos a los viñadores; pero éstos se apoderaron de los criados, golpearon a uno, mataron a otro, y a otro más lo apedrearon. Envió de nuevo a otros criados, en mayor número que los primeros, y los trataron del mismo modo.
Por último, les mandó a su propio hijo, pensando: 'A mi hijo lo respetarán'. Pero cuando los viñadores lo vieron, se dijeron unos a otros: 'Éste es el heredero. Vamos a matarlo y nos quedaremos con su herencia'. Le echaron mano, lo sacaron del viñedo y lo mataron.
Ahora díganme: Cuando vuelva el dueño del viñedo, ¿qué hará con esos viñadores?" Ellos le respondieron: "Dará muerte terrible a esos desalmados y arrendará el viñedo a otros viñadores, que le entreguen los frutos a su tiempo".
Entonces Jesús les dijo: "¿No han leído nunca en la Escritura: La piedra que desecharon los constructores, es ahora la piedra angular. Esto es obra del Señor y es un prodigio admirable?
Por esta razón les digo que les será quitado a ustedes el Reino de Dios y se le dará a un pueblo que produzca sus frutos".
Al oír estas palabras, los sumos sacerdotes y los fariseos comprendieron que Jesús las decía por ellos y quisieron aprehenderlo, pero tuvieron miedo a la multitud, pues era tenido por un profeta.

Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people:
"Hear another parable.
There was a landowner who planted a vineyard,
put a hedge around it,
dug a wine press in it, and built a tower.
Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey.
When vintage time drew near,
he sent his servants to the tenants to obtain his produce.
But the tenants seized the servants and one they beat,
another they killed, and a third they stoned.
Again he sent other servants, more numerous than the first ones,
but they treated them in the same way.
Finally, he sent his son to them,
thinking, 'They will respect my son.'
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another,
'This is the heir.
Come, let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.'
They seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
What will the owner of the vineyard do to those tenants when he comes?"
They answered him,
"He will put those wretched men to a wretched death
and lease his vineyard to other tenants
who will give him the produce at the proper times."
Jesus said to them, "Did you never read in the Scriptures:
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done,
and it is wonderful in our eyes?
Therefore, I say to you,
the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you
and given to a people that will produce its fruit."
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables,
they knew that he was speaking about them.
And although they were attempting to arrest him,
they feared the crowds, for they regarded him as a prophet.

Meditacion:
En el evangelio de hoy Jesus claramente les dice a la jerarquia religiosa que no habian cumplido con su mision de guiar el pueblo de Dios y que aquella promesa de pueblo elegido seria revocada.
Frente a eso, los jefes religiosos querian encarcelarlo pero "temian a la multitud que lo consideraba un profeta"
Si ustedes recuerdan, esta historia se ha repetido hasta el cansancio.. Martin Luther King, Mahatma Ghandi... grandes buscadores de la paz asesinados.
A veces el mensaje de la paz, aquel mensaje que nos obliga a mirarnos a nosotros mismos no es tan intolerable que buscamos que desaparezca por cualquier modo.
Jesus no es un mensaje comodo y adaptable a nuestra vida.. Jesus nos interpela, nos hace cuestionarnos, busca que cambiemos y que salgamos de nuestra zona de confort para ir hacia el hermano, amar a Jesus es amar un mundo caotico donde el hombre ha roto cada uno de los puentes para encontrarse con el otro y se refugiado en su propio individualismo.
Pero todos tenemos un destino de gloria al cual rechazamos porque no queremos hacer ese cambio.
La vida pasa, el tiempo es corto.. comencemos ese cambio hoy..y no temamos... el temor solo nos saca lo mas valioso que tenemos como humanos, la capacidad infinita de hacer el bien a nuestros hermanos, Amen
In today's Gospel, Jesus clearly tells the religious hierarchy that they had not fulfilled their mission of leading the people of God and that that promise of the chosen people would be revoked.
Faced with that, the religious leaders wanted to imprison him but "feared the crowd that considered him a prophet"
If you remember, this story has been repeated to exhaustion .. Martin Luther King, Mahatma Ghandi ... great peace seekers murdered.
Sometimes the message of peace, that message that forces us to look at ourselves is not so intolerable that we seek it to disappear by any means.
Jesus is not a comfortable and adaptable message to our life. Jesus challenges us, makes us question us, seeks us to change and we leave our comfort zone to go to the brother, to love Jesus is to love a chaotic world where man has Broken each of the bridges to meet the other and took refuge in their own individualism.
But we all have a destiny of glory that we reject because we do not want to make that change.
Life goes by, time is short .. let's start that change today ... and do not fear ... fear only brings out the most valuable thing that we have as human beings, the infinite capacity to do good to our brothers, Amen
