Mt 26, 14-25
En aquel tiempo, uno de los Doce, llamado Judas Iscariote, fue a ver a los sumos sacerdotes y les dijo: "¿Cuánto me dan si les entrego a Jesús?" Ellos quedaron en darle treinta monedas de plata. Y desde ese momento andaba buscando una oportunidad para entregárselo.
El primer día de la fiesta de los panes Ázimos, los discípulos se acercaron a Jesús y le preguntaron: "¿Dónde quieres que te preparemos la cena de Pascua?" Él respondió: "Vayan a la ciudad, a casa de fulano y díganle: 'El Maestro dice: Mi hora está ya cerca. Voy a celebrar la Pascua con mis discípulos en tu casa' ". Ellos hicieron lo que Jesús les había ordenado y prepararon la cena de Pascua.
Al atardecer, se sentó a la mesa con los Doce, y mientras cenaban, les dijo: "Yo les aseguro que uno de ustedes va a entregarme". Ellos se pusieron muy tristes y comenzaron a preguntarle uno por uno: "¿Acaso soy yo, Señor?" Él respondió: "El que moja su pan en el mismo plato que yo, ése va a entregarme. Porque el Hijo del hombre va a morir, como está escrito de él; pero ¡ay de aquel por quien el Hijo del hombre va a ser entregado! Más le valiera a ese hombre no haber nacido". Entonces preguntó Judas, el que lo iba a entregar: "¿Acaso soy yo, Maestro?" Jesús le respondió: "Tú lo has dicho".

Entonces preguntó Judas, el que lo iba a entregar: "¿Acaso soy yo, Maestro?" Jesús le respondió: "Tú lo has dicho".

One of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot,
went to the chief priests and said,
"What are you willing to give me
if I hand him over to you?"
They paid him thirty pieces of silver,
and from that time on he looked for an opportunity to hand him over.
On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread,
the disciples approached Jesus and said,
"Where do you want us to prepare
for you to eat the Passover?"
He said,
"Go into the city to a certain man and tell him,
'The teacher says, "My appointed time draws near;
in your house I shall celebrate the Passover with my disciples."'"
The disciples then did as Jesus had ordered,
and prepared the Passover.
When it was evening,
he reclined at table with the Twelve.
And while they were eating, he said,
"Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me."
Deeply distressed at this,
they began to say to him one after another,
"Surely it is not I, Lord?"
He said in reply,
"He who has dipped his hand into the dish with me
is the one who will betray me.
The Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of him,
but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed.
It would be better for that man if he had never been born."
Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply,
"Surely it is not I, Rabbi?"
He answered, "You have said so."

Meditacion:
Hoy Miercoles santo... la semana santa esta marcada por el signo de lo inevitable. No hay nada que podamos hacer que pueda cambiar el hecho del final tragico y doloroso del viernes.
Sin embargo, hay un punto que debemos reflexionar aca “Yo entrego mi vida… Nadie me la quita, sino que yo la entrego libremente. Tengo poder para entregarla y tengo poder para recuperarla." dije Jesus en Juan 10, 17-18.
No hay mayor sacrificio del que da la vida por sus hermanos y este sacrificio marcara el camino que debemos seguir en la busqueda de Jesus.
No hay muchos de nosotros que fueramos capaces de dar la vida por otra persona y definitivamente, Dios no nos pide esto. Pero si nos pide que vivamos para otras personas, ayudando y mostrando con nuestra vida, el sacrificio real de Jesus vivo en nosotros.
No podia Jesus encontrar un final mas horroroso y cargado de dolor, comenzando con una traicion y terminando en una muerte de cruz.
Pero como nos dice antes, El lo hace de manera voluntaria y conciente.
Aun veremos en el huerto de los olivos como de una manera muy humana, se angustia por su suerte.
Pero no nos olvidemos que toda muerte es un nacimiento a la vida eterna. Amen
Today Holy Wednesday ... Holy Week is marked by the sign of the inevitable. There is nothing we can do that could change the tragic and painful ending of Friday.
However, there is a point that we must reflect on here: "I give my life ... Nobody takes it from me, but I give it freely. I have power to deliver it and I have the power to recover it. "Jesus said in John 10, 17-18.
There is no greater sacrifice than the one who gives his life for his brothers and this sacrifice will mark the path we must follow in the search for Jesus.
There are not many of us who are capable of giving our lives for another person and definitely, God does not ask us for this. But if he asks us to live for other people, helping and showing with our life, the real sacrifice of Jesus lives in us.
Jesus could not find a more horrifying and painful ending, beginning with a betrayal and ending in a cross death.
But as he tells us before, He does it voluntarily and consciously.
We will still see in the orchard of the olive trees as in a very human way, he is anguished by his luck.
But let's not forget that every death is a birth to eternal life. Amen
