Hoy es su cumple!!!

Mt 1, 18-23

Cristo vino al mundo de la siguiente manera: Estando María, su madre, desposada con José, y antes de que vivieran juntos, sucedió que ella, por obra del Espíritu Santo, estaba esperando un hijo. José, su esposo, que era hombre justo, no queriendo ponerla en evidencia, pensó dejarla en secreto.

Mientras pensaba en estas cosas, un ángel del Señor le dijo en sueños: "José, hijo de David, no dudes en recibir en tu casa a María, tu esposa, porque ella ha concebido por obra del Espíritu Santo. Dará a luz un hijo y tú le pondrás el nombre de Jesús, porque él salvará a su pueblo de sus pecados".

Todo esto sucedió para que se cumpliera lo que había dicho el Señor por boca del profeta Isaías: He aquí que la virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, a quien pondrán el nombre de Emmanuel, que quiere decir Dios-con-nosotros.

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about.
When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph,
but before they lived together,
she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.
Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man,
yet unwilling to expose her to shame,
decided to divorce her quietly.
Such was his intention when, behold,
the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said,
“Joseph, son of David,
do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.
For it is through the Holy Spirit
that this child has been conceived in her.
She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus,
because he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill
what the Lord had said through the prophet:

Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,

which means “God is with us.”

Meditacion:

Hoy celebramos el cumple de nuestra Madre Maria.
 Una nueva vida que nace siempre es motivo de exultante alegría. Cuánto más si nace la Madre de nuestro Salvador. Hasta en un tono popular y filial, podemos entonar el ¡Cumpleaños feliz!
Los Padres de la Iglesia, y a la liturgia le gusta, recurren a la imagen bellísima: el nacimiento de María es la Aurora que anuncia el nacimiento del Sol de justicia, Cristo el Señor. En efecto, nace María, y florece la carne que luego será morada y arca de la carne de Jesús. En esta criatura se formará “la criatura que viene del Espíritu Santo y salvará a su pueblo de sus pecados”. En el seno de esta niña que nace acampará el Verbo de Dios hecho carne.
Con esto estamos diciendo que a María, para envolverla en su luz propia, hemos de colocarla siempre en el misterio de la Redención de Cristo. Ella es, ante todo, la Madre del Redentor.
En el Evangelio de hoy, María aparece la última de una lista de mujeres; algunas de ellas procedentes de la paganía y del pecado, como Tamar, Rajab, Rut, Betsabé. Al final, como la luz sobre la tiniebla, María “de la cual nació Jesús”, la llena de gracia. Brilla, a la vez, el misterio de la encarnación en todo su realismo junto a la victoria sobre el mal.
En esta genealogía caprichosa de San Mateo podemos vernos alineados nosotros. Por una parte, nos sentimos hijos de María. Por otra parte, los bautizados en Cristo, nacidos del agua y del Espíritu, por la fe alargamos la descendencia, prolongamos la encarnación que se dio en María.
No podemos acabar sin un guiño elemental en todo cumpleaños. El regalo. ¿Qué nos pide la Virgen en este día? Pensémoslo, y no seamos ruines sino filialmente generosos. Que es su día.

“Santa María, Madre de Dios, ruega por nosotros los pecadores ahora y en la hora de nuestra muerte, amén.” Amen

In fact, Mary is born, and the flesh that later will be the dwelling and ark of the flesh of Jesus flourishes. In this creature will be formed "the creature that comes from the Holy Spirit and will save his people from their sins". In the bosom of this girl that is born, the Word of God made flesh will camp.
With this we are saying that to Mary, to surround her in her own light, we must always place her in the mystery of the Redemption of Christ. She is, above all, the Mother of the Redeemer.
In today's Gospel, Mary appears last in a list of women; some of them coming from paganism and sin, such as Tamar, Rajab, Ruth, Bathsheba. In the end, like the light over the darkness, Mary "of whom Jesus was born", fills her with grace. Shines, at the same time, the mystery of the incarnation in all its realism next to victory over evil.
In this capricious genealogy of San Mateo we can see ourselves aligned. On the one hand, we feel children of Mary. On the other hand, those baptized into Christ, born of water and the Spirit, through faith we extend the offspring, prolong the incarnation that was given in Mary.
We can not finish without an elementary wink on every birthday. The gift. What does the Virgin ask of us on this day? Let's think about it, and let's not be ruinous but filially generous. What is your day?
