Buenos muchachos...

Lc 11, 42-46

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo: "¡Ay de ustedes, fariseos, porque pagan diezmos hasta de la hierbabuena, de la ruda y de todas las verduras, pero se olvidan de la justicia y del amor de Dios! Esto debían practicar sin descuidar aquello. ¡Ay de ustedes, fariseos, porque les gusta ocupar los lugares de honor en las sinagogas y que les hagan reverencias en las plazas! ¡Ay de ustedes, porque son como esos sepulcros que no se ven, sobre los cuales pasa la gente sin darse cuenta!"

Entonces tomó la palabra un doctor de la ley y le dijo: "Maestro, al hablar así, nos insultas también a nosotros". Entonces Jesús le respondió: "¡Ay de ustedes también, doctores de la ley, porque abruman a la gente con cargas insoportables, pero ustedes no las tocan ni con la punta del dedo!"

The Lord said:
"Woe to you Pharisees!
You pay tithes of mint and of rue and of every garden herb,
but you pay no attention to judgment and to love for God.
These you should have done, without overlooking the others.
Woe to you Pharisees!
You love the seat of honor in synagogues
and greetings in marketplaces. 
Woe to you!
You are like unseen graves over which people unknowingly walk."

Then one of the scholars of the law said to him in reply,
"Teacher, by saying this you are insulting us too."
And he said, "Woe also to you scholars of the law!
You impose on people burdens hard to carry,
but you yourselves do not lift one finger to touch them."

Meditacion:

Vamos a dejar algo en claro hoy dia a la luz de este evangelio.. los fariseos no eran malos tipos... cumplian con la ley, pagaban sus impuestos, eran buenos ciudadanos...

Y porque entonces Jesus los repudiaba tanto? porque hacian las cosas por los motivos incorrectos.

Y esto es terrible porque yo he conocido personas trabajando en la Iglesia por años y haciendo las cosas por los motivos incorrectos..

Ustedes seguro las conocen tambien, son esas personas que trabajan pero buscan aprobacion, figurar, estar siempre presente... El servicio de Jesus en cambio es la humildad, el silencio y esa frase del evangelio que nos pega a todos "que tu mano derecha no sepa lo que hace tu izquierda"... hacer el bien sin esperar nada, ni reconocimiento ni mayor cosa que un gracias a veces.

Hay que huir de esa soberbia tan natural cuando nos halagan; nada destruye mas a un misionero que el halago, bien ganado a veces pero que nos reblandece por dentro.

Y nada peor que ser un fariseo y estar trabajando por años buscando los motivos equivocados.

La buena nueva es que siempre podemos cambiar y rectificar ese camino.

Dios nos mandara bendiciones entonces cuando. como misioneros del Espiritu, solo trabajemos para la Gloria del Reino y para nuestros hermanos.

Entonces hoy dia hermanos... analicemonos a nosotros mismos y pensemos si todo lo que hacemos lo hacemos por el motivo correcto o es hora de cambiar. Amen

Let's make something clear today in light of this gospel .. the Pharisees were not bad guys ... they complied with the law, they paid their taxes, they were good citizens ...

And why then did Jesus repudiate them so much? because they did things for the wrong reasons.

And this is terrible because I have known people working in the Church for years and doing things for the wrong reasons ..

You sure know them too, are those people who work but seek approval, figure, be always present ... The service of Jesus instead is humility, silence and that phrase of the gospel that hits us all "that your right hand do not know what your left does "... do good without expecting anything, neither recognition nor more than a thank you sometimes.

We must flee from such natural pride when they flatter us; nothing destroys a missionary more than flattery, sometimes well earned but that softens us inside.

And nothing worse than being a Pharisee and working for years looking for the wrong reasons.

The good news is that we can always change and rectify that path.

God will send us blessings then. as missionaries of the Spirit, we only work for the Glory of the Kingdom and for our brothers.

So today brothers ... let's analyze ourselves and think if everything we do we do it for the right reason or it's time to change. Amen
