Lc 10, 17-24
En aquel tiempo, los setenta y dos discípulos regresaron llenos de alegría y le dijeron a Jesús: "Señor, hasta los demonios se nos someten en tu nombre".
Él les contestó: "Vi a Satanás caer del cielo como el rayo. A ustedes les he dado poder para aplastar serpientes y escorpiones y para vencer toda la fuerza del enemigo, y nada les podrá hacer daño. Pero no se alegren de que los demonios se les sometan. Alégrense más bien de que sus nombres están escritos en el cielo".
En aquella misma hora, Jesús se llenó de júbilo en el Espíritu Santo y exclamó: "¡Te doy gracias, Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque has escondido estas cosas a los sabios y a los entendidos, y las has revelado a la gente sencilla! ¡Gracias, Padre, porque así te ha parecido bien! Todo me lo ha entregado mi Padre y nadie conoce quién es el Hijo, sino el Padre; ni quién es el Padre, sino el Hijo y aquel a quien el Hijo se lo quiera revelar".
Volviéndose a sus discípulos, les dijo aparte: "Dichosos los ojos que ven lo que ustedes ven. Porque yo les digo que muchos profetas y reyes quisieron ver lo que ustedes ven y no lo vieron, y oír lo que ustedes oyen y no lo oyeron".

The seventy-two disciples returned rejoicing and said to Jesus,
"Lord, even the demons are subject to us because of your name."
Jesus said, "I have observed Satan fall like lightning from the sky.
Behold, I have given you the power
'to tread upon serpents' and scorpions
and upon the full force of the enemy
and nothing will harm you.
Nevertheless, do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you,
but rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
At that very moment he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said,
"I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to the childlike.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.
All things have been handed over to me by my Father.
No one knows who the Son is except the Father,
and who the Father is except the Son
and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."
Turning to the disciples in private he said,
"Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
For I say to you,
many prophets and kings desired to see what you see,
but did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it."

Meditacion:
El evangelio de hoy es uno lleno de alegria y esperanza; los discipulos vuelven felices porque pueden hasta expulsar demonios.
Pero Jesus en medio de la celebracion les hace una recomendacion: procuren que sus nombres estes escritos en el cielo...
Vamos a pararnos aca y ver que es lo que Jesus nos quiere decir con esto...
Primero, Dios nos llena de dones cada dia, nuestra familia, nuestro trabajos, las amistades que tenemos y sobre todo, el conocimiento de Dios, la posibilidad de practicar nuestra religion sin impedimentos... muchas veces no somos concientes de todos estos dones y creemos que nos lo merecemos.. y si, nos lo merecemos pero muchos hermanos alrededor del mundo no los tienen...
Entonces Jesus nos dice no se queden, apunten mas alto, apunten a ser santos... no es que recibir una gracia como expulsar demonios o ser buenos catolicos no sea importante sino que esa es la base, Jesus no quiere, literalmente, a todos con El en la eternidad.
Entonces mis amigos no nos olvidemos de dar gracias cada dia por esas pequeñas cosas que recibimos y que Dios nos da para colaborar en la construccion del Reino para todos.
“Querido Padre eterno, te doy gracias por adoptarme como hijo tuyo y por escribir mi nombre en el cielo. ¡Me lleno de gozo porque sé que te pertenezco para toda la eternidad!” Amen

Today's Gospel is one full of joy and hope; the disciples become happy because they can even expel demons.
But Jesus in the middle of the celebration makes a recommendation: try to get their names written in heaven ...
Let's stop here and see what Jesus wants to say with this ...
First, God fills us with gifts every day, our family, our jobs, the friendships we have and above all, the knowledge of God, the possibility of practicing our religion without impediments ... many times we are not aware of all these gifts and We believe that we deserve it .. and yes, we deserve it but many brothers around the world do not have them ...
Then Jesus tells us not to stay, aim higher, aim to be saints ... not that receiving a grace like casting out demons or being good Catholics is not important but that is the basis, Jesus does not want, literally, everyone with Him in eternity.
So, my friends, let's not forget to give thanks every day for those little things that we receive and that God gives us to collaborate in the construction of the Kingdom for all.
"Dear eternal Father, I thank you for adopting me as your son and for writing my name in heaven. I am filled with joy because I know that I belong to you for all eternity! "Amen
