Lc 15, 1-10

En aquel tiempo, se acercaban a Jesús los publicanos y los pecadores a escucharlo; por lo cual los fariseos y los escribas murmuraban entre sí: "Este recibe a los pecadores y come con ellos".

Jesús les dijo entonces esta parábola: "¿Quién de ustedes, si tiene cien ovejas y se le pierde una, no deja las noventa y nueve en el campo y va en busca de la que se le perdió hasta encontrarla? Y una vez que la encuentra, la carga sobre sus hombros, lleno de alegría y al llegar a su casa, reúne a los amigos y vecinos y les dice: 'Alégrense conmigo, porque ya encontré la oveja que se me había perdido'. Yo les aseguro que también en el cielo habrá más alegría por un pecador que se arrepiente, que por noventa y nueve justos, que no necesitan arrepentirse.

¿Y qué mujer hay, que si tiene diez monedas de plata y pierde una, no enciende luego una lámpara y barre la casa y la busca con cuidado hasta encontrarla? Y cuando la encuentra, reúne a sus amigas y vecinas y les dice: 'Alégrense conmigo, porque ya encontré la moneda que se me había perdido'. Yo les aseguro que así también se alegran los ángeles de Dios por un solo pecador que se arrepiente"

The tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus,
but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying,
"This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." 
So Jesus addressed this parable to them.
"What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them
would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert
and go after the lost one until he finds it?
And when he does find it,
he sets it on his shoulders with great joy
and, upon his arrival home,
he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them,
'Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.' 
I tell you, in just the same way
there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents
than over ninety-nine righteous people
who have no need of repentance.

"Or what woman having ten coins and losing one
would not light a lamp and sweep the house,
searching carefully until she finds it?
And when she does find it,
she calls together her friends and neighbors
and says to them,
'Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.' 
In just the same way, I tell you,
there will be rejoicing among the angels of God
over one sinner who repents."

Meditacion:

Leemos de "El evangelio online"

Quien no se ha sentido aceptado tal y como es, en algún momento de su vida, no puede entender este fragmento del Evangelio de Lucas. Por algo a Lucas le llaman el evangelista de la misericordia.

De todo lo que se podría comentar hoy, me quiero fijar en un primer aspecto: vivir sin prejuicios. Nosotros también nos volvemos a veces fariseos, o sea, que somos intolerantes en nombre de la lógica, de lo que se ha hecho siempre y de lo que nos parece que debe ser así. Y a veces somos publicanos, o sea, nos creemos justos y nos permitimos juzgar a los demás. Nuestras propias ideas, nuestras concepciones nos impiden ver las cosas con los ojos de Dios. Quitarnos las propias gafas, y ponernos las gafas de Dios, para verlo todo como Él lo ve, es el primer paso para sentir la misericordia divina. ¿Juzgo a los demás o los comprendo? ¿Acepto las críticas o solamente me gusta criticar? ¿Creo que la gente puede cambiar? ¿Creo que yo puedo ser mejor?

Un segundo comentario. Alegrarse y compartir. Sentir la misericordia divina es motivo de alegría, da sentido a la vida y nos permite mirar al mundo de otra manera. Por eso hay que compartirlo con los demás. No podemos guardarnos para nosotros la felicidad de saber que podemos comenzar de nuevo el camino, porque Él ha borrado nuestros pecados y nos permite de nuevo escribir en la página en blanco de nuestra vida. Un cuento de Anthony de Mello nos puede ayudar:

"Durante años fui un neurótico. Era un ser angustiado, deprimido y egoísta. Y todo el mundo insistía en decirme que cambiara. Y no dejaban de recordarme lo neurótico que yo era. Y yo me ofendía, aunque estaba de acuerdo con ellos, y deseaba cambiar, pero no acababa de conseguirlo por mucho que lo intentara.

Lo peor era que mi mejor amigo tampoco dejaba de recordarme lo neurótico que yo estaba. Y también insistía en la necesidad de que yo cambiara. Y también con él estaba de acuerdo, y no podía sentirme ofendido con él. De manera que me sentía impotente y como atrapado.

Pero un día me dijo: «No cambies. Sigue siendo tal como eres. En realidad no importa que cambies o dejes de cambiar. Yo te quiero tal como eres y no puedo dejar de quererte». Aquellas palabras sonaron en mis oídos como música: «No cambies. No cambies. No cambies... Te quiero...».

Entonces me tranquilicé. Y me sentí vivo. Y, ¡Oh, maravilla!, cambié". (Anthony de Mello; No cambies)

“Padre celestial, ayúdanos a creer que tú perdonas todos los pecados, por muy grandes que sean. No dejes, Señor, que nada nos impida llegar a tu lado.” Amen

We read of "The gospel online"

Who has not felt accepted as he is, at some point in his life, can not understand this fragment of the Gospel of Luke. For something Lucas is called the evangelist of mercy.

Of all that could be discussed today, I want to focus on a first aspect: live without prejudice. We also sometimes become Pharisees, that is, we are intolerant in the name of logic, of what has always been done and of what we think should be like that. And sometimes we are publicans, that is, we believe we are just and we allow ourselves to judge others. Our own ideas, our conceptions prevent us from seeing things with the eyes of God. Removing our own glasses, and putting on God's glasses, to see everything as He sees it, is the first step to feel the divine mercy. Do I judge others or do I understand them? Do I accept criticism or just like to criticize? Do I believe that people can change? I think I can be better?

A second comment. Rejoice and share. Feeling the divine mercy is a source of joy, gives meaning to life and allows us to look at the world in a different way. That's why you have to share it with others. We can not keep for ourselves the happiness of knowing that we can begin the path anew, because He has erased our sins and allows us to write again on the blank page of our life. A story by Anthony de Mello can help us:

"For years I was a neurotic, I was an anguished, depressed and selfish being, and everyone insisted on telling me to change, and they kept reminding me how neurotic I was, and I was offended, even though I agreed with them, and I wanted to change, but I did not quite get it no matter how hard I tried.
