No se engañen...

Lc 21, 5-11

En aquel tiempo, como algunos ponderaban la solidez de la construcción del templo y la belleza de las ofrendas votivas que lo adornaban, Jesús dijo: "Días vendrán en que no quedará piedra sobre piedra de todo esto que están admirando; todo será destruido".

Entonces le preguntaron: "Maestro, ¿cuándo va a ocurrir esto y cuál será la señal de que ya está a punto de suceder?"

Él les respondió: "Cuídense de que nadie los engañe, porque muchos vendrán usurpando mi nombre y dirán: 'Yo soy el Mesías. El tiempo ha llegado'. Pero no les hagan caso. Cuando oigan hablar de guerras y revoluciones, que no los domine el pánico, porque eso tiene que acontecer, pero todavía no es el fin".

Luego les dijo: "Se levantará una nación contra otra y un reino contra otro. En diferentes lugares habrá grandes terremotos, epidemias y hambre, y aparecerán en el cielo señales prodigiosas y terribles".

While some people were speaking about
how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings,
Jesus said, "All that you see here–
the days will come when there will not be left
a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down."

Then they asked him,
"Teacher, when will this happen?
And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?" 
He answered,
"See that you not be deceived,
for many will come in my name, saying,
'I am he,' and 'The time has come.' 
Do not follow them! 
When you hear of wars and insurrections,
do not be terrified; for such things must happen first,
but it will not immediately be the end." 
Then he said to them,
"Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 
There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues
from place to place;
and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky."

Meditacion:

Leyendo hoy este evangelio, me vino a la memoria una frase que lei ya hace un tiempo:

"Tanto hemos hablado del amor y la misericordia del Altísimo, que empezamos a minimizar la justicia y la santidad de Dios. Desdeñar el hecho de que Dios juzgará al malvado es negar la revelación bíblica y desvirtuar su amor"

Dios es un Dios misericordioso pero tambien es justo y no hay que olvidarlo.

La idea de un Dios bajando del cielo e imponiendo su justicia a todas las naciones sin diferencias atemoriza por el caos y la violencia que traera; el evangelio tiene muchas referencias a ese tiempo como "un tiempo de confusion, de lucha y de muerte"

Por eso es tan importante estar preparado para ese momento, misionar no solo entre nuestros hermanos sino tambien en nosotros mismos.

Aca les dejo una receta, una hoja de ruta creo es la mas adecuada para este tiempo:

Bienaventurados son los que dan, mas cien veces bienaventurados los que dan aquello que aun quieren.

Bienaventurados los que predican Amor, mas cien veces bienaventurados los que lo llevan en su pecho y lo hacen con sus manos porque es Cristo quien lo hace a través de ellos.

Bienaventurados los que alaban a Dios, mas cien veces bienaventurados son los que sabiendo su "Plan para el Mundo" trabajan en su realización.

Bienaventurados los que abren los ojos y contemplan al mundo, mas cien veces bienaventurados los que abriendo más aún los ojos contemplan el Universo del cual el mundo apenas es una mota. Y viendo su pequeñez se hacen grandes.

Bienaventurados los que se limpian los oídos de las voces vacías de este mundo, mas cien veces bienaventurados son los que oyendo se hacen sordos para estar con los sordos y entenderlos hasta limpiarlos.

Hermoso camino.

“Santísimo Señor, apiádate de tus hijos y ten misericordia de todos nosotros, para que recibamos la luz de Cristo y nazca de nuevo la vida en nuestro corazón.” Amen

Reading this gospel today, a phrase that I read a while ago came to mind:

"We have both spoken of the love and mercy of the Most High, that we begin to minimize the justice and holiness of God." To disregard the fact that God will judge the wicked is to deny the biblical revelation and distort his love.

God is a merciful God but he is also just and we must not forget him.

The idea of a God coming down from heaven and imposing his justice on all nations without differences is frightened by the chaos and violence that it will bring; the gospel has many references to that time as "a time of confusion, of struggle and death"

That is why it is so important to be prepared for that moment, to mission not only among our brothers but also in ourselves.

Here I leave a recipe, a roadmap I think is the most appropriate for this time:

Blessed are those who give, but a hundred times blessed those who give what they still want.

Blessed are those who preach Love, but a hundred times blessed those who carry it in their bosom and do it with their hands because it is Christ who does it through them.

Blessed are those who praise God, but a hundred times blessed are those who, knowing their "Plan for the World", work on its realization.

Blessed are those who open their eyes and contemplate the world, but a hundred times more blessed those who, opening their eyes even more, contemplate the Universe of which the world is hardly a speck. And seeing their smallness they become great.

Blessed are those who clean their ears of the empty voices of this world, but one hundred times more blessed are those who, hearing, become deaf to be with the deaf and understand them until they are clean.

"Most Holy Lord, take pity on your children and have mercy on all of us, so that we may receive the light of Christ and be born again in our hearts." Amen
