Grandes y maravillosas son las cosas de Dios!

Lc 21, 12-19

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "Los perseguirán y los apresarán, los llevarán a los tribunales y a la cárcel, y los harán comparecer ante reyes y gobernantes por causa mía. Con esto ustedes darán testimonio de mí.

Grábense bien que no tienen que preparar de antemano su defensa, porque yo les daré palabras sabias, a las que no podrá resistir ni contradecir ningún adversario de ustedes.

Los traicionarán hasta sus padres y hermanos, sus parientes y amigos. Matarán a algunos de ustedes, y todos los odiarán por causa mía. Sin embargo, ni un cabello de su cabeza perecerá. Si se mantienen firmes, conseguirán la vida''.

Jesus said to the crowd:
"They will seize and persecute you,
they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons,
and they will have you led before kings and governors
because of my name.
It will lead to your giving testimony.
Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand,
for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking
that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute.
You will even be handed over by parents,
brothers, relatives, and friends,
and they will put some of you to death.
You will be hated by all because of my name,
but not a hair on your head will be destroyed.
By your perseverance you will secure your lives."

Meditacion:

Hoy, un poco mas tarde que de costumbre, anoche nos acostamos tardisimo!!.

Leemos de "El evangelio de hoy":

Recuerdo la ilusión que me hizo de pequeño acercarme al final de la eucaristía para recibir la medalla de la Milagrosa. Hoy recordamos aquella entrega que pertenece a la familia Paúl e Hijas de la Caridad. Oración convertida en medalla, en la que mis padres pedían la protección de la Virgen para cada uno de sus cinco hijos. Quizá hoy la palabra nos invite a perseverar en los buenos deseos de nuestros mayores para vivir la bienaventuranza.

"Con vuestra perseverancia salvaréis vuestras almas". Lucas nos invita a la perseverancia, a vivir con tensión, en guerra con la vulgaridad que usurpa nuestra identidad. La Palabra nos pide ser quien somos para que en la dificultad no desfallezcamos. "Os echarán mano y os perseguirán, entregándoos a las sinagogas y cárceles y llevándoos ante reyes y gobernadores por mi nombre; esto os sucederá para que deis testimonio. Proponed pues, en vuestro corazón no preparar la defensa, porque yo os daré una elocuencia y una sabiduría a la que no podrán resistir ni contradecir todos vuestros adversarios".

Juan ve un mar de vidrio veteado de fuego y a los que habían vencido a la bestia, cantando: "Grandes y admirables son tu obras, Señor, Dios soberano. Justos y verdaderos son tus caminos".

Ellos son los bienaventurados que siguen a Dios y comprenden que a Dios no se le puede manejar. Son los bienaventurados que descubren la enseñanza que la vida les trae a cada momento y la hacen suya y después la reparten sin quedarse nada para sí. Son los bienaventurados que conocen las leyes de la existencia y las hacen "suyas". Son los bienaventurados que llegan a las causas de las cosas y con esfuerzo inician nuevos caminos de comprensión y abren nuevas ventanas hacia la Verdad.

Si te sientes dispuesto a vencer el mal de hoy con el bien, éste será tu cántico nuevo.

El Señor te dará a conocer su victoria y regirá tu mundo con justicia y rectitud.

Pero, antes de todo esto, recuerda, con tu perseverancia salvarás tu alma. En la cultura del fragmento no está bien vista otra perseverancia que no sea la del máximo beneficio. Lo gratuito, lo solidario, la entrega a largo plazo no es rentable para ella. Y sin embargo es la solidez de la propia vida. En este mundo de enlaces subterráneos, de túneles, importa excavar en la profundidad que nos asegura el aguante ante la dificultad para perseverar en la propia verdad.

“Grande y maravilloso es todo lo que tú has hecho, Señor, Dios todopoderoso. Pues solamente tú eres santo; todas las naciones vendrán y te adorarán, porque tus juicios han sido manifestados.” Amen
