Mt 15, 29-37
En aquel tiempo, llegó Jesús a la orilla del mar de Galilea, subió al monte y se sentó. Acudió a él mucha gente, que llevaba consigo tullidos, ciegos, lisiados, sordomudos y muchos otros enfermos. Los tendieron a sus pies y él los curó. La gente se llenó de admiración, al ver que los lisiados estaban curados, que los ciegos veían, que los mudos hablaban y los tullidos caminaban; por lo que glorificaron al Dios de Israel.
Jesús llamó a sus discípulos y les dijo: "Me da lástima esta gente, porque llevan ya tres días conmigo y no tienen qué comer. No quiero despedirlos en ayunas, porque pueden desmayarse en el camino". Los discípulos le preguntaron: "¿Dónde vamos a conseguir, en este lugar despoblado, panes suficientes para saciar a tal muchedumbre?" Jesús les preguntó: "¿Cuántos panes tienen?" Ellos contestaron: "Siete, y unos cuantos pescados".
Después de ordenar a la gente que se sentara en el suelo, Jesús tomó los siete panes y los pescados, y habiendo dado gracias a Dios, los partió y los fue entregando a los discípulos, y los discípulos a la gente. Todos comieron hasta saciarse, y llenaron siete canastos con los pedazos que habían sobrado.
Jesús llamó a sus discípulos y les dijo: "Me da lástima esta gente, porque llevan ya tres días conmigo y no tienen qué comer. No quiero despedirlos en ayunas, porque pueden desmayarse en el camino". At that time:
Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee,
went up on the mountain, and sat down there.
Great crowds came to him,
having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute,
and many others.
They placed them at his feet, and he cured them.
The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking,
the deformed made whole,
the lame walking,
and the blind able to see,
and they glorified the God of Israel.
Jesus summoned his disciples and said,
"My heart is moved with pity for the crowd,
for they have been with me now for three days
and have nothing to eat.
I do not want to send them away hungry,
for fear they may collapse on the way."
The disciples said to him,
"Where could we ever get enough bread in this deserted place
to satisfy such a crowd?"
Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?"
"Seven," they replied, "and a few fish."
He ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground.
Then he took the seven loaves and the fish,
gave thanks, broke the loaves,
and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.
They all ate and were satisfied.
They picked up the fragments left over–seven baskets full.

Meditation:
Para aquellos que a veces tenemos temor de dedicarse a las cosas de Dios, porque podemos quedarnos sin trabajo o porque me va a faltar tiempo para otras cosas, esta lectura les dice, claramente, que Jesus es capaz de llenar todas sus necesidades, las espirituales y las fisicas.
Todos iban a Jesus... si bien el evangelio nos grafica un mar de tullidos, ciegos, sordos y poseidos, sin duda los que se sentian mal y atormentados por sus pecados, tambien eran parte de la caravana eterna que iba de aca para alla con Jesus.
Jesus los cura, y se apiada de ellos porque Dios es amor y el movimiento hacia la misericordia es permanente en Dios.
Entonces les da de comer "hasta saciarse" porque Dios jamas nos dejara a la intemperie si lo estamos siguiendo.
Creo que en este mundo es el secreto mejor guardado y el que mas deberiamos saber... si trabajas para Dios, El paga de contado; si pones tu corazon, tu mente y tu vida al servicio de Dios, literalmente, nada te faltara.
Esta hermosa historia del evangelio tambien introduce un elemento de la cabalistica judia.. se comienza con siete peces y se acaba con siete canastas de sobras. El siete es para los judios el numero de la perfeccion asi que el evangelista (y posiblemente Jesus tambien) busco darle un guiño a los estudiosos diciendoles que El era la perfeccion.
Acudamos a Dios con nuestros pecados y miserias; pidamosle la gracia de la abundancia y vivamos para sembrar su Reino cada dia.
“Señor y Dios mío, yo confío en que tu Cuerpo y tu Sangre satisfagan los deseos más profundos de mi corazón.” Amen

For those of us who are sometimes afraid to dedicate ourselves to the things of God, because we can be without work or because I am going to lack time for other things, this reading clearly tells them that Jesus is able to fulfill all their needs, the spiritual ones. and the physical ones.
Everyone went to Jesus ... although the gospel depicts a sea of cripples, blind, deaf and possessed, no doubt those who felt bad and tormented by their sins, were also part of the eternal caravan that went from here to there with Jesus
Jesus heals them, and takes pity on them because God is love and the movement toward mercy is permanent in God.
Then he gives them food "to be satiated" because God will never leave us out in the open if we are following him.
I believe that in this world it is the best kept secret and the one that we should know the most ... if you work for God, the cash payment; If you put your heart, your mind and your life in the service of God, literally, nothing will be lacking.
This beautiful gospel story also introduces an element of the Jewish cabalistic .. it starts with seven fish and ends with seven baskets of leftovers. The seven is for the Jews the number of perfection so the evangelist (and possibly Jesus too) sought to give a nod to the scholars by saying that He was perfection.
Let us go to God with our sins and miseries; let us ask for the grace of abundance and let us live to sow his Kingdom every day.
"Lord and my God, I trust that your Body and your Blood will satisfy the deepest desires of my heart." Amen
