Generosidad en la fe y en nuestras comunidades

Mt 7, 21. 24-27

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "No todo el que me diga: '¡Señor, Señor!', entrará en el Reino de los cielos, sino el que cumpla la voluntad de mi Padre, que está en los cielos.

El que escucha estas palabras mías y las pone en práctica, se parece a un hombre prudente, que edificó su casa sobre roca. Vino la lluvia, bajaron las crecientes, se desataron los vientos y dieron contra aquella casa; pero no se cayó, porque estaba construida sobre roca.

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,'
will enter the Kingdom of heaven,
but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

"Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them
will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. 
The rain fell, the floods came,
and the winds blew and buffeted the house. 
But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. 
And everyone who listens to these words of mine
but does not act on them
will be like a fool who built his house on sand. 
The rain fell, the floods came,
and the winds blew and buffeted the house. 
And it collapsed and was completely ruined."

Meditacion:

Hoy los invito a ser Jesus por un instante. Vamos, animense y diganme, en una parabola, como esta su fe.

Construimos sobre arena? o nos cuesta horrores porque estamos construyendo sobre solida roca?

Yo por mi parte, les dire una parabola para significar lo mismo: cuando uno lanza una piedra a un lago en la noche, la piedra cae, forma olas, se hunde y todo vuelve a la tranquilidad.

Pero vista esta piedra desde la profundidad, nada cambio.. el alboroto fue solo en la superficie.

De la misma manera, una persona con solidas raices de fe no se inquieta, no se perturba, ha puesto su confianza y su vida en manos de Dios y sabe que pueden pasar mil cosas por su vida (la vida es larga y rica en experiencias) pero al final, siempre Dios estara alli, en las profundidades, inalterado.

Hoy es el dia de San Nicolas. Para muchos niños, hoy es un día especial. En la víspera de la fiesta de San Nicolás, dejan los zapatos fuera de la puerta del dormitorio antes de acostarse, y a la mañana siguiente encuentran regalitos en ellos. ¡San Nicolás los ha visitado!

La costumbre viene de cuando San Nicolas, secretamente, entregaba oro como dote para que las mujeres jovenes tuvieran dote y pudieran casarse.

¿Cómo podemos ser nosotros una bendición para otras personas como lo fue San Nicolás? Podemos hacerlo siendo lo más generosos que podamos, imitando el hábito de San Nicolás de dar de sí mismo a otros mediante actos de amor, compasión, amabilidad  y generosidad economica. Cada día, Dios nos ofrece oportunidades para bendecir a otros y dar de nosotros mismos. Cada día, nos invita a compartir su alegría siendo generosos con sus hijos.

Dios ha sido muy magnánimo contigo, hermano, en muchos sentidos. Hoy, en respuesta a esa generosidad, pídele al Señor que te abra los ojos para ver las necesidades que hay cerca de ti y lo mucho que él te ha bendecido. Luego deja que el amor y la gratitud por estas bendiciones fluyan de ti hacia otros para reanimar a los afligidos, los pobres, los desorientados y los necesitados. Y conforme llegues a ser una bendición para otros, tú serás bendecido también.

“Amado Señor, muéstrame cómo puedo ser generoso con mis familiares y amigos, especialmente en este tiempo de Adviento.” Amen

In the same way, a person with solid roots of faith is not disturbed, is not disturbed, has put his trust and his life in the hands of God and knows that a thousand things can happen for his life (life is long and rich in experiences ) but in the end, God will always be there, in the depths, unaltered.

Today is the day of San Nicolas. For many children, today is a special day. On the eve of the San Nicolás party, they leave their shoes outside the bedroom door before going to bed, and the next morning they find little gifts in them. San Nicolás has visited them!

The custom comes from when San Nicolas, secretly, gave gold as a dowry so that the young women had dowry and could get married.

How can we be a blessing to other people like St. Nicholas was? We can do it by being as generous as we can, imitating Saint Nicholas's habit of giving of himself to others through acts of love, compassion, kindness and economic generosity. Every day, God offers us opportunities to bless others and give of ourselves. Each day, he invites us to share his joy by being generous with his children.

God has been very magnanimous with you, brother, in many ways. Today, in response to that generosity, ask the Lord to open your eyes to see the needs that are near you and how much he has blessed you. Then let love and gratitude for these blessings flow from you to others to revive the afflicted, the poor, the disoriented and the needy. And as you become a blessing to others, you will be blessed as well.

"Beloved Lord, show me how I can be generous with my family and friends, especially in this time of Advent." Amen
