Aprendamos a ver a Jesus

Mt 9, 27-31

Cuando Jesús salía de Cafarnaúm, lo siguieron dos ciegos, que gritaban: "¡Hijo de David, compadécete de nosotros!" Al entrar Jesús en la casa, se le acercaron los ciegos y Jesús les preguntó: "¿Creen que puedo hacerlo?" Ellos le contestaron: "Sí, Señor". Entonces les tocó los ojos, diciendo: "Que se haga en ustedes conforme a su fe". Y se les abrieron los ojos. Jesús les advirtió severamente: "Que nadie lo sepa". Pero ellos, al salir, divulgaron su fama por toda la región.

As Jesus passed by, two blind men followed him, crying out,
"Son of David, have pity on us!" 
When he entered the house,
the blind men approached him and Jesus said to them,
"Do you believe that I can do this?" 
"Yes, Lord," they said to him. 
Then he touched their eyes and said,
"Let it be done for you according to your faith." 
And their eyes were opened. 
Jesus warned them sternly,
"See that no one knows about this." 
But they went out and spread word of him through all that land.

Meditation:

Vamos hoy a intentar "ver" mas alla de la pura escritura que nos relata como Jesus curo dos ciegos.

Ellos no veian pero (al igual que nosotros a veces) sentian que Jesus podia sanarlos.

Igual nosotros, muchas veces no vemos la obra de Dios en nuestra vida; nos lo pasamos llorando y gritando por misericordia pero no encontramos a Jesus en nosotros.. literalmente, somos como ciegos.

Jesus aun los prueba en su fe, preguntandoles si realmente creian que El podia curarlos y despues dice una frase interesante: "Que se haga en ustedes conforme a su fe".

Muchas personas quieren un milagro, que algo cambie en su vida pero no tienen fe, quieren "un milagro en una pastillita".

Los milagros existen pero deben venir acompañados de una autentica conversion, sin duda, la que tuvieron estos ciegos que pasaron de no ver a ver... igual nosotros cuando Jesus toca nuestros corazones (por ejemplo en un retiro o por una circunstancia especial), "vemos" la obra de Dios en toda su magnitud.

De este hermoso evangelio entonces debemos recordar dos cosas: Primero, dejarse "tocar" por la mano de Jesus pero tambien, hacer el milagro en nuestras propias vidas cada dia, cada minuto de ellas.

“Señor y salvador mío, abre mis ojos y ayúdame a ver.” Amen

e are going today to try to "see" beyond the pure writing that tells us how Jesus healed two blind people.

They did not see but (like us sometimes) they felt that Jesus could heal them.

Like us, many times we do not see the work of God in our life; we spent it crying and shouting for mercy but we did not find Jesus in us ... literally, we are like blind people.

Jesus still tests them in his faith, asking them if they really believed that He could cure them and then he says an interesting phrase: "Let it be done in you according to your faith."

Many people want a miracle, that something changes in their life but they do not have faith, they want "a miracle in a little pill".

The miracles exist but they must be accompanied by an authentic conversion, without a doubt, the one that these blind people had that they did not see to see ... like us when Jesus touches our hearts (for example in a retreat or for a special circumstance), "we see" the work of God in all its magnitude.

Of this beautiful gospel then we must remember two things: First, let ourselves be "touched" by the hand of Jesus but also, make the miracle in our own lives every day, every minute of them.

"Lord and savior of mine, open my eyes and help me see." Amen
