Esfuerzate

Mt 11, 11-15

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a la gente: "Yo les aseguro que no ha surgido entre los hijos de una mujer ninguno más grande que Juan el Bautista. Sin embargo, el más pequeño en el Reino de los cielos, es todavía más grande que él.

Desde los días de Juan el Bautista hasta ahora, el Reino de los cielos exige esfuerzo, y los esforzados lo conquistarán. Porque todos los profetas y la ley profetizaron, hasta Juan; y si quieren creerlo, él es Elías, el que habría de venir. El que tenga oídos que oiga".

Jesus said to the crowds:
"Amen, I say to you,
among those born of women
there has been none greater than John the Baptist;
yet the least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 
From the days of John the Baptist until now,
the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence,
and the violent are taking it by force. 
All the prophets and the law prophesied up to the time of John. 
And if you are willing to accept it,
he is Elijah, the one who is to come. 
Whoever has ears ought to hear."

Meditacion:

El evangelio de hoy nos refuerza un concepto que ya vimos antes de Jesus "el que quiera ser grande, se haga pequeño para sus hermanos" (Mateo 20:26).

Porque para conquistar el Reino de Dios hay que invertir lo que pensamos y ese es el camino a recorrer en este mundo. Darse vuelta, cambiar nuestro norte desde un punto de vista individualista a uno donde mi egoismo muere frente a las necesidades de los demas.

No por eso voy a perder mi personalidad, pero el amor nos teje y cablea internamente en forma distinta y nos lleva a hacer cosas por otras personas que para muchas otras les pareceria imposible o superfluas.

No hacen falta grandes discursos, no hacen falta enormes gestos, solo la constancia del amor horadando la roca, cada dia un poquito mas, para seguir aceptando en nosotros nuestros propios humanidades y defectos.

Ya lo dice Jesus en este evangelio "el Reino de los cielos exige esfuerzo, y los esforzados lo conquistarán"

Esforcemonos entonces por buscar y encontrar las cosas que nos eleven hacia Dios.

“Señor y Dios mío, abre mis ojos para ver la gloria de tu Reino en medio de nosotros.” Amen

Today's Gospel reinforces a concept that we saw before Jesus "who wants to be great, become small for his brothers" (Matthew 20:26).

Because to conquer the Kingdom of God you have to invest what you think and that is the way to go in this world. Turn around, change our north from an individualistic point of view to one where my egoism dies in front of the needs of others.

That's not why I'm going to lose my personality, but love weaves and wiring us internally in a different way and leads us to do things for other people that for many others would seem impossible or superfluous.

We do not need great speeches, we do not need enormous gestures, only the constancy of love piercing the rock, every day a little more, to continue accepting in us our own humanities and defects.

Already Jesus says in this gospel "the Kingdom of heaven demands effort, and the hardy will conquer it"

Let us then strive to seek and find the things that elevate us towards God.

"Lord and my God, open my eyes to see the glory of your Kingdom in our midst." Amen
