Que es mas facil?

Lc 5, 17-26

Un día Jesús estaba enseñando y estaban también sentados ahí algunos fariseos y doctores de la ley, venidos de todas las aldeas de Galilea, de Judea y de Jerusalén. El poder del Señor estaba con él para que hiciera curaciones.

Llegaron unos hombres que traían en una camilla a un paralítico y trataban de entrar, para colocarlo delante de él; pero como no encontraban por dónde meterlo a causa de la muchedumbre, subieron al techo y por entre las tejas lo descolgaron en la camilla y se lo pusieron delante a Jesús. Cuando él vio la fe de aquellos hombres, dijo al paralítico: "Amigo mío, se te perdonan tus pecados".

Entonces los escribas y fariseos comenzaron a pensar: "¿Quién es este individuo que así blasfema? ¿Quién, sino sólo Dios, puede perdonar los pecados?" Jesús, conociendo sus pensamientos, les replicó: "¿Qué están pensando? ¿Qué es más fácil decir: 'Se te perdonan tus pecados' o 'Levántate y anda'? Pues para que vean que el Hijo del hombre tiene poder en la tierra para perdonar los pecados –dijo entonces al paralítico–: Yo te lo mando: levántate, toma tu camilla y vete a tu casa".

El paralítico se levantó inmediatamente, en presencia de todos, tomó la camilla donde había estado tendido y se fue a su casa glorificando a Dios. Todos quedaron atónitos y daban gloria a Dios, y llenos de temor, decían: "Hoy hemos visto maravillas".

One day as Jesus was teaching,
Pharisees and teachers of the law,
who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem,
were sitting there,
and the power of the Lord was with him for healing. 
And some men brought on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed;
they were trying to bring him in and set him in his presence. 
But not finding a way to bring him in because of the crowd,
they went up on the roof
and lowered him on the stretcher through the tiles
into the middle in front of Jesus. 
When Jesus saw their faith, he said,
"As for you, your sins are forgiven." 

Then the scribes and Pharisees began to ask themselves,
"Who is this who speaks blasphemies? 
Who but God alone can forgive sins?" 
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them in reply,
"What are you thinking in your hearts? 
Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,'
or to say, 'Rise and walk'? 
But that you may know
that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"–
he said to the one who was paralyzed,
"I say to you, rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home." 

He stood up immediately before them,
picked up what he had been lying on,
and went home, glorifying God. 
Then astonishment seized them all and they glorified God,
and, struck with awe, they said,
"We have seen incredible things today."

Meditacion:

El evangelio de hoy nos presenta un dilema poco comun.. Jesus diciendole a los fariseos que es mas facil? Perdonar los pecados o hacer que camine?

Pensemoslo por un segundo porque nosotros somos ese paralitico que busca curarse. Nuestros pecados nos tienen paralizados... tanto, que por alli son nuestros amigos, parientes o nuestros conocidos en la Parroquia los que "nos llevan a Jesus" con la oracion que hacen por nosotros. Nunca vamos a saber quien ora por nosotros pero deberiamos en nuestras practicas diarias orar por ellos en el silencio de nuestro corazon.

Y nos encontramos con Jesus y borra nuestros pecados, nuestra paralisis desaparece, salimos, por ejemplo, de un retiro o de hacer una muy buena confesion (les recuerdo que es Adviento y que es un muy buen momento para confesarse de corazon)... entonces nos sentimos nuevos, renovados y dando gloria a Dios... somos el paralitico que tomo su camilla y se fue agradeciendo a Dios.

Pero por alli nos encontraremos a los escribas y fariseos... aquellos que nos miraran y diran "pero si hasta ayer pecabas o te drogabas o andabas mintiendo y hoy quien te cree??" les paso verdad? y es que la gloria y la gracia de Dios requiere no solo que Jesus haga el milagro sino tambien poner de nuestra parte, cambiar nuestra vida, renovar y airear nuestra alma, vivir, de aca en mas, en la gracia.

Tambien les dejo el misterio del evangelio hoy lunes para que mediten... la pregunta de Jesus a los fariseos... es mas facil perdonar los pecados o decir "levantate y anda"? es un silogismo interesante si lo meditan y alli se los dejo para que se den su vuelta hoy lunes, visitando al Sagrario. En dos dias celebraremos la Virgen de Guadalupe asi que estos dos dias son casi obligacion darnos nuestra vuelta para confesarnos y meditar.

“Señor mío Jesucristo, lléname de tu paz y ayúdame a confiar en que tú estás siempre dispuesto a cuidar a tus hijos.” Amen

Today's Gospel presents us with an uncommon dilemma. Jesus telling the Pharisees what is easier? Forgive sins or make them walk?

Let's think about it for a second because we are that paralytic who seeks to heal. Our sins have paralyzed us ... so much, that our friends, relatives or acquaintances in the Parish are those who "take us to Jesus" with the prayer they do for us. We will never know who prays for us but we should pray in our daily practices for them in the silence of our hearts.

And we meet Jesus and erase our sins, our paralysis disappears, we leave, for example, a retreat or make a very good confession (I remind you that it is Advent and that it is a very good time to confess from your heart) ... then we feel new, renewed and giving glory to God ... we are the paralytic who took his stretcher and left thanking God.

But there we will find the scribes and Pharisees ... those who will look at us and say "but until yesterday you sinned or drugged yourself or you were lying and today who believes you?" I happen to you, right? and it is that the glory and grace of God requires not only that Jesus perform the miracle but also to do our part, change our life, renew and air our soul, live, from here on, in grace.

I also leave the mystery of the gospel today for you to meditate ... the question of Jesus to the Pharisees ... is it easier to forgive sins or say "get up and walk"? It is an interesting syllogism if you meditate it and there I leave it to you so you can come back today, visiting the Shrine. In two days we will celebrate the Virgin of Guadalupe so these two days are almost obligatory to give us our turn to confess and meditate.

"My Lord Jesus Christ, fill me with your peace and help me to trust that you are always willing to take care of your children." Amen
