Vayamos en busqueda de nuestros hermanos perdidos

Mt 18, 12-14

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "¿Qué les parece? Si un hombre tiene cien ovejas y se le pierde una, ¿acaso no deja las noventa y nueve en los montes, y se va a buscar a la que se le perdió? Y si llega a encontrarla, les aseguro que se alegrará más por ella que por las noventa y nueve que no se le perdieron. De igual modo, el Padre celestial no quiere que se pierda uno solo de estos pequeños".

Jesus said to his disciples:
"What is your opinion? 
If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray,
will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills
and go in search of the stray? 
And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it
than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. 
In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father
that one of these little ones be lost."

Meditacion:

Cuando leemos este pasaje del evangelio a veces pensamos que Jesus solo quiere a las ovejas descarriadas y no a los fieles, obedientes, amorosos hijos de Dios que cada dia se esfuerzan por hacer lo mejor para Gloria del Reino.

Y eso es porque muchas veces leemos la Biblia desde un espacio muy personal y sin ver la vision de Jesus.

Jesus no quiere que ninguna ovejita se pierda, ni la que es ya santa ni la mas pecadora de todas. La invitacion a la santidad es para todos.

Entonces de este hermoso pasaje debemos leerlos como aprender a ver y santificar a todos nuestros hermanos. El camino de la santidad no es un camino solitario, es un camino que hacemos llevando con nosotros los hermanos por los cuales ayudamos a descubrir su propio camino de santidad.

Y esto creo yo es lo mas maravilloso que uno puede descubrir en este mundo: la sencillez de hacer el bien sin mirar a quien.  Para eso no hace falta ser alguien importante, o un miembro del clero, solo hace falta desearlo y poner manos a la obra.

Hermanos mañana es el Dia de la Virgen de Guadalupe, una celebracion muy importante; hoy en la noche, muchas Iglesias estaran abiertas para pasar la noche con la Virgen que mañana se le aparecera a San Juan Diego en el monte del Tepeyac. Pidamos la intersecion de la Virgen de Guadalupe para que Dios nos ayude a descubrir en el otro, la esencia de Dios y el espiritu de santidad.

“Amado Jesús, cambia mi forma de pensar y enséñame a buscar y salvar lo que estaba perdido.” Amen

When we read this passage of the gospel we sometimes think that Jesus only wants the lost sheep and not the faithful, obedient, loving children of God who every day strive to do the best for the Glory of the Kingdom.

And that is because many times we read the Bible from a very personal space and without seeing the vision of Jesus.

Jesus does not want any sheep to be lost, neither the one who is already holy nor the most sinful of all. The invitation to holiness is for everyone.

Then from this beautiful passage we should read them as we learn to see and sanctify all our brothers. The path of holiness is not a lonely path, it is a path that we carry with us the brothers by whom we help to discover their own path of holiness.

And this I think is the most wonderful thing you can discover in this world: the simplicity of doing good without looking at who. For that you do not need to be someone important, or a member of the clergy, you just need to want it and get down to work.

Brothers tomorrow is the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, a very important celebration; Today in the night, many churches will be open to spend the night with the Virgin that tomorrow will appear to San Juan Diego in the mount of Tepeyac. Let us ask for the intersection of the Virgin of Guadalupe so that God helps us to discover in the other, the essence of God and the spirit of holiness.

"Beloved Jesus, change my way of thinking and teach me to seek and save what was lost." Amen
