Lc 6, 36-38
No juzguen y no serán juzgados; no condenen y no serán condenados; perdonen y serán perdonados.

GospelLK 6:36-38
Jesus said to his disciples:
"Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
"Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,
will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you."
"Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
"Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,
will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you."

Meditacion:
Amen

In today's first reading we find the prophet Daniel confessing the sins of the people of God; nothing is saved, and if they read it, it is very current; the prophet ends by saying: Lord, shame is ours, our kings, our princes and our fathers, because we have sinned against you. Of our God, on the other hand, is to have mercy and forgive, although we have rebelled against him, and by not following the laws that he had given us through his servants, the prophets, we have not obeyed his voice "
In the gospel we see almost the answer of Jesus. "Be merciful, do not judge because with the same rod you will be judged." How many times a day and with a frightening lightness do we judge others? Or we let run or spread a gossip about someone ?, how many times a day we let ourselves be carried away and condemned gratuitously to another brother without knowing and (the worst) without forgiving.
We need tremendously to exercise charity and mercy, to try to be nurses, not arsonists, to put understanding and love where others seek to inflict the greatest damage.
I remember an anecdote from Santa Teresa de Jesus; a rich woman one day saw Santa Theresa bathing a leper and said "Mother I would not bathe a leper for a million dollars"; "Me neither" the saint said "because the only way to do it is for love".
When we separate someone because we do not accept their way of being, we are judging; When we put ourselves in a position to decide about the lives of others, we are judging and with the same severity we will be judged.
To think it right?
Lord Jesus, help me to deposit my sins at your feet so that I may live a true freedom. "Amen
