Mt 6, 7-15
En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "Cuando ustedes hagan oración no hablen mucho, como los paganos, que se imaginan que a fuerza de mucho hablar, serán escuchados. No los imiten, porque el Padre sabe lo que les hace falta, antes de que se lo pidan. Ustedes, pues, oren así:
Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo,
santificado sea tu nombre,
venga tu Reino,
hágase tu voluntad
en la tierra como en el cielo.
Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día,
perdona nuestras ofensas,
como también nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;
no nos dejes caer en tentación
y líbranos del mal.
Si ustedes perdonan las faltas a los hombres, también a ustedes los perdonará el Padre celestial. Pero si ustedes no perdonan a los hombres, tampoco el Padre les perdonará a ustedes sus faltas".
Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo,

who think that they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them.
Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
"This is how you are to pray:
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
"If you forgive men their transgressions,
your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men,
neither will your Father forgive your transgressions."

Meditacion:
En el evangelio de hoy seguimos con la forma de orar y Jesus, Maestro Divino, nos ensena el Padrenuestro, oracion universal para todos los cristianos que contiene siete peticiones concretas; las tres primeras se refieren a Dios Padre y las cuatro siguientes a las necesidades de los hombres. De esta forma Jesús nos dice que siempre que recemos tenemos que tener presente a Dios y los demás, no se pueden separar.
Además el Padre nuestro nos desvela cómo debe vivir un seguidor de Jesús; manifiesta el estilo de vida de Jesús y los verdaderos motivos por los que él hacía las cosas. De esta forma oración y acción iban unidas: la oración daba vida a la acción, y la acción era la concreción de la oración. De esta forma Jesús nos enseñó que en la vida de cada cristiano la oración y la acción no se pueden separar, y cada una de ellas tiene su lugar relevante.
El Padre nuestro es una oración breve en palabras, pero profunda en contenido, es la oración que Jesús rezaba y nos enseñó a rezar, es la oración que resume el mensaje evangélico y el vademécum de la vida del seguidor de Jesús, es decir, esta es la oración que debe rezar todo cristiano y la que debe vivir en su vida de cada día.
Cuaresma, tiempo de oración, ayuno y limosna. Os sugiero: meditar durante cinco minutos al día cada una de las peticiones del Padre nuestro en un lugar de vuestra casa o en el templo, pero en silencio. Organiza tu día de tal manera que no falte este momento de oración y cuídalo con cariño.
