Rumbo al futuro

Jn 10, 31-42

En aquel tiempo, cuando Jesús terminó de hablar, los judíos cogieron piedras para apedrearlo. Jesús les dijo: “He realizado ante ustedes muchas obras buenas de parte del Padre, ¿por cuál de ellas me quieren apedrear?”

Le contestaron los judíos: “No te queremos apedrear por ninguna obra buena, sino por blasfemo, porque tú, no siendo más que un hombre, pretendes ser Dios”. Jesús les replicó: “¿No está escrito en su ley: Yo les he dicho: Ustedes son dioses? Ahora bien, si ahí se llama dioses a quienes fue dirigida la palabra de Dios (y la Escritura no puede equivocarse), ¿cómo es que a mí, a quien el Padre consagró y envió al mundo, me llaman blasfemo porque he dicho: ‘Soy Hijo de Dios’? Si no hago las obras de mi Padre, no me crean. Pero si las hago, aunque no me crean a mí, crean a las obras, para que puedan comprender que el Padre está en mí y yo en el Padre”. Trataron entonces de apoderarse de él, pero se les escapó de las manos.

Luego regresó Jesús al otro lado del Jordán, al lugar donde Juan había bautizado en un principio y se quedó allí. Muchos acudieron a él y decían: “Juan no hizo ningún signo; pero todo lo que Juan decía de éste, era verdad”. Y muchos creyeron en él allí.

The Jews picked up rocks to stone Jesus.
Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from my Father.
For which of these are you trying to stone me?"
The Jews answered him,
"We are not stoning you for a good work but for blasphemy.
You, a man, are making yourself God."
Jesus answered them,
"Is it not written in your law, 'I said, 'You are gods"'? 
If it calls them gods to whom the word of God came,
and Scripture cannot be set aside,
can you say that the one
whom the Father has consecrated and sent into the world
blasphemes because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? 
If I do not perform my Father's works, do not believe me;
but if I perform them, even if you do not believe me,
believe the works, so that you may realize and understand
that the Father is in me and I am in the Father."
Then they tried again to arrest him;
but he escaped from their power.

He went back across the Jordan
to the place where John first baptized, and there he remained. 
Many came to him and said,
"John performed no sign,
but everything John said about this man was true."
And many there began to believe in him.

Meditacion:
En estas ultimas semanas he estado reflexionando y meditando mucho sobre el futuro de las diferentes denominaciones que conocemos en la religion catolica.
Llamenlas como quieran.. Romano Catolicos, Episcopales, Luteranos, Baptistas, Metodistas... y las miles de denominaciones diferentes que tienen una base cristiana.
Y les tengo noticias. Si no comenzamos a borrar las fronteras de las denominaciones, si no comenzamos a ampliar nuestro espectro, si no comenzamos a concelebrar juntos, todos pasaremos un tiempo muy dificil como Iglesias.
"Si no hago las obras de mi Padre, no me crean. Pero si las hago, aunque no me crean a mí, crean a las obras, para que puedan comprender que el Padre está en mí y yo en el Padre”
Yo me pregunto. Todas las denominaciones, al final, son piramides corporativas con un sentido muy alto de auto preservacion. No desean cambiar y adaptarse, desean que la persona se adapte y cambie a su modo. Pero Jesus dice muy claramente en este evangelio “He realizado ante ustedes muchas obras buenas de parte del Padre, ¿por cuál de ellas me quieren apedrear?”
El evangelio de hoy es muy claro, muy revelador y muy interesante. En que momento dejamos que las estructuras eclesiasticas se interpusieran entre nuestro amor a Cristo y nosotros?
No dejemos que esta cuaresma sea "una mas", preparemonos para interpelar, para movernos espiritualmente y con Dios como meta y la Virgen Maria de nuestro lado, salgamos a producir cambios en nuestras Parroquias. Y una de las cosas mas interesantes que podriamos introducir seria contactarnos con diferentes denominaciones. Visualizan ustedes a catolicos romanos concelebrando con judios? O a episcopales junto a musulmanes?
Pero si no comprendemos la simple verdad de no dejar que nada se interponga entre mi hermano y yo... como haremos el cielo en la tierra?
Olvidemonos un poco de la teologia y saquemos a relucir nuestra misericordia y caridad por nuestros hermanos.

Hoy no hay oracion final, los invito a que cada uno despues de leer esto se proponga realizar algo... y si van a su Parroquia y no los dejan sencillamente hacer algo en este sentido, creanme, estan en la parroquia equivocada. Dios los bendiga. Amen

In these last weeks I have been reflecting and meditating a lot about the future of the different denominations that we know in the Catholic religion.

Call them as you wish ... Roman Catholics, Episcopalians, Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists ... and the thousands of different denominations that have a Christian base.

And I have news for you. If we do not begin to erase the boundaries of the denominations, if we do not begin to broaden our spectrum, if we do not begin to concelebrate together, we will all have a very difficult time like Iglesias.

"If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me, but if I do them, even if they do not believe me, believe the works, so they can understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father"

I wonder. All denominations, in the end, are corporate pyramids with a very high sense of self preservation. They do not want to change and adapt, they want the person to adapt and change their way. But Jesus says very clearly in this Gospel: "I have performed many good works before you from the Father, for which of them do you want to stone me?"

The gospel of today is very clear, very revealing and very interesting. In what moment did we allow the ecclesiastical structures to come between our love of Christ and ourselves?

Let us not let this Lent be "one more", let us prepare ourselves to interpellate, to move spiritually and with God as our goal and the Virgin Mary on our side, let us produce changes in our parishes. And one of the most interesting things we could introduce would be to contact us with different denominations. Do you visualize Roman Catholics concelebrating with Jews? Or Episcopalians with Muslims?

But if we do not understand the simple truth of not letting anything stand between my brother and me ... how will we make heaven on earth?

Let's forget a bit about theology and let us show our mercy and charity for our brothers.
