Aceptando a nuestro Jesus

Jn 12, 44-50

En aquel tiempo, exclamó Jesús con fuerte voz: "El que cree en mí, no cree en mí, sino en aquel que me ha enviado; el que me ve a mí, ve a aquel que me ha enviado. Yo he venido al mundo como luz, para que todo el que crea en mí no siga en tinieblas.

Si alguno oye mis palabras y no las pone en práctica, yo no lo voy a condenar; porque no he venido al mundo para condenar al mundo, sino para salvarlo.

El que me rechaza y no acepta mis palabras, tiene ya quien lo condene: las palabras que yo he hablado lo condenarán en el último día. Porque yo no he hablado por mi cuenta, sino que mi Padre, que me envió, me ha mandado lo que tengo que decir y hablar. Y yo sé que su mandamiento es vida eterna. Así, pues, lo que hablo, lo digo como el Padre me lo ha dicho''.

Jesus cried out and said,
“Whoever believes in me believes not only in me
but also in the one who sent me,
and whoever sees me sees the one who sent me.
I came into the world as light,
so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness. 
And if anyone hears my words and does not observe them,
I do not condemn him,
for I did not come to condemn the world but to save the world. 
Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words
has something to judge him: the word that I spoke,
it will condemn him on the last day,
because I did not speak on my own,
but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and speak. 
And I know that his commandment is eternal life. 
So what I say, I say as the Father told me.”

Meditacion:

El evangelio de hoy nos invita a preguntarnos si realmente creemos en Jesus resucitado.

Y es importante preguntarnos si realmente hicimos esa transicion del tiempo de cuaresma al tiempo pascual.

Porque aceptar a Jesus resucitado es seguirlo, es, como meditabamos ayer. poner en practica sus palabras.

Pero hay una frase que particularmente me llega muy hondo:

"Si alguno oye mis palabras y no las pone en práctica, yo no lo voy a condenar; porque no he venido al mundo para condenar al mundo, sino para salvarlo".

Cristo no juzga hermanos, no condena, nosotros somos los que juzgamos y condenamos con una ligereza sorprendete.

Aceptar a Jesus como nuestro salvador tambien tiene eso de ver, mirar y callar, eso de convertir nuestra vida en un reflejo del evangelio, dejando de lado nuestro orgullo y sabiendo que muchas veces deberemos pedir disculpas sin ser culpables. Creo que lo mas importante de ser un "seguidor del camino" como se llamaban los cristianos primitivos, es pasar desapercibidos por nuestra modestia pero a la misma vez, ser un referente de justicia e integridad para todos que jamas pasa desapercibido.

Si de veras queremos tener esta vida, debemos pedirle al Espíritu Santo que nos ayude a aceptar y recibir a Jesús, que por el amor que fluye de su sagrado Corazón, nos invita a venir a su lado. La única condición que se necesita para recibir la vida divina que Cristo ganó para todos sus fieles es creer en él y llevar una vida sacramental y de fidelidad a Dios.

“Padre santo, ten piedad de mí, pues deseo vivir como hijo de la luz. Ayúdame, Señor, a alabar y glorificar tu nombre hoy y siempre.” Amen

But there is a phrase that particularly reaches me very deeply:

"If anyone hears my words and does not put them into practice, I am not going to condemn him, because I have not come into the world to condemn the world, but to save it."

Christ does not judge brothers, does not condemn, we are the ones who judge and condemn with a surprising lightness.

Accepting Jesus as our savior also has that of seeing, looking and shutting up, that of turning our lives into a reflection of the gospel, leaving aside our pride and knowing that many times we will have to apologize without being guilty. I think the most important thing about being a "follower of the road" as the primitive Christians called themselves, is to go unnoticed by our modesty but at the same time, to be a referent of justice and integrity for all that never goes unnoticed.

If we really want to have this life, we must ask the Holy Spirit to help us accept and receive Jesus, who, by the love that flows from his Sacred Heart, invites us to come to his side. The only condition needed to receive the divine life that Christ won for all his faithful is to believe in him and lead a sacramental life and fidelity to God.

"Holy Father, have mercy on me, for I wish to live as a child of light. Help me, Lord, to praise and glorify your name today and always. "Amen
