Heroes entre nosotros

Jn 3, 31-36

"El que viene de lo alto está por encima de todos; pero el que viene de la tierra pertenece a la tierra y habla de las cosas de la tierra. El que viene del cielo está por encima de todos. Da testimonio de lo que ha visto y oído, pero nadie acepta su testimonio. El que acepta su testimonio certifica que Dios es veraz. Aquel a quien Dios envió habla las palabras de Dios, porque Dios le ha concedido sin medida su Espíritu.

El Padre ama a su Hijo y todo lo ha puesto en sus manos. El que cree en el Hijo tiene vida eterna. Pero el que es rebelde al Hijo no verá la vida, porque la cólera divina perdura en contra de él''.

The one who comes from above is above all.
The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things.
But the one who comes from heaven is above all.
He testifies to what he has seen and heard,
but no one accepts his testimony.
Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.
For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God.
He does not ration his gift of the Spirit.
The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,
but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God remains upon him.

Meditacion:

"El que viene de lo alto está por encima de todos; pero el que viene de la tierra pertenece a la tierra y habla de las cosas de la tierra"  Asi comienza el evangelio de hoy.

Me gustaria recordar a un heroe de ayer nomas. Les presento a Riley Howell; Riley tenia 21 años y estudiaba en la Universidad de Carolina del Norte, en el campus de Charlotte.  Hace un par de dias, cuando un hombre entro en su clase, dispuesto a matar a todos, Riley, sencillamente, no lo penso y se interpuso en su camino, intentando derribarlo. El asesino disparo y lo mato a El y otro compañero pero esa accion hizo que pudiera ser detenido el responsable.

Estoy seguro que Riley no penso ese dia al levantarse que seria su ultimo dia; solo reacciono, sin pensar que de esa manera, se estaba convirtiendo en un heroe y dando la vida por sus compañeros. Un heroe pero tambien un santo.

De nuevo, El que viene de lo alto está por encima de todos; pero el que viene de la tierra pertenece a la tierra y habla de las cosas de la tierra". Todos tenemos esa chispa de amor y compasion hacia nuestros hermanos que nos convierten en heroes.

No necesitamos llegar al extremo de dar la vida por los demas pero si es importante pensar que cada dia podemos ser un heroe para el que se nos acerca; si solo nos preocupamos por hacer sentir mejor al otro, de amarlo con pequeños gestos que mimen su alma, ya estamos cumpliendo con lo de "hablar de cosas de lo alto".

Hay mucha gente sufriendo, hay mucha gente que esconde ese sufrimiento y le es cada dia mas complicado la vida diaria.

Seamos gentiles, cariñosos y conscientes de la vida de la otra persona. Construyamos en nuestra propia vida una red de seguridad para los que menos tienen o los que menos sienten.

Hablemos, en suma, de las cosas del cielo mientras aun estamos aca en la tierra.

“Espíritu Santo, día a día necesito tu auxilio; ayúdame a confiar en tu presencia y tu poder.” Amen

I would like to remember a hero from yesterday. I present Riley Howell; Riley was 21 years old and was studying at the University of North Carolina, on the campus of Charlotte. I'm sure Riley did not think that day when he got up that it would be his last day; he only reacted, without thinking that in that way, he was becoming a hero and giving his life for his companions. A hero but also a saint.

Again, He who comes from above is above all; but he who comes from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the things of the earth. "We all have that spark of love and compassion for our brothers who make us heroes.

We do not need to go to the extreme of giving our lives for others, but it is important to think that every day we can be a hero for those who approach us; If we only care about making the other feel better, loving him with small gestures that spoil his soul, we are already fulfilling the "talk about things from above".

There are many people suffering, there are many people who hide this suffering and everyday life is more complicated.

Let's be gentle, loving and aware of the other person's life. Let's build a safety net in our own lives for those who have least or least feel.

Let's talk, in short, about the things of heaven while we are still here on earth.
