Jn 6, 16-21

GospelJN 6:16-21
When it was evening, the disciples of Jesus went down to the sea,
embarked in a boat, and went across the sea to Capernaum.
It had already grown dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing.
When they had rowed about three or four miles,
they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat,
and they began to be afraid.
But he said to them, "It is I. Do not be afraid."
They wanted to take him into the boat,
but the boat immediately arrived at the shore
to which they were heading.

Meditacion:
Amen

In the first reading we see how the first communities of the Church were faced with practical problems such as the distribution of people in a similar way among all.
In the gospel, we see how Jesus says to the apostles "it's me, do not be afraid".
Sometimes it is difficult to conjugate the verb Jesus in the present times. It is difficult to put it in situation, we want to follow his example but (like the apostles with the repartition) we do not find the correct way of how to do it.
Our practical problems seem "very human" and we do not know how to fit them into the word of God.
The first thing I believe is to leave it in the hands of Jesus any concern that surpasses us ... this simple act is sometimes complicated for people ... I do not have work, I leave it in your hands Lord; my son is sick, I leave it in your hands, Lord ... my marriage is in crisis, I leave it in your hands Lord. We must have a great faith to let God enter our lives and "fix" our domestic problems; especially because sometimes we refuse, stubbornly, to fix or change something.
The other day I read one of those phrases that go around on social networks "life is what begins at the end of your comfort zone" and I take a smile because it is true.
When we conform like fat cats to live without changing, without challenging ourselves, there is not much room for Jesus.
We think, very foolishly, that we do not need it or that Jesus is for people who have "serious problems".
If Jesus walked on the water, if he turned in 3 seconds water into the best wine, if he cured countless people ... you think he can not help you with your "domestic" problems?
Today, Saturday, I invite you to ask him to enter your heart, walk towards you and invite him to live, together prepare a dinner for friends where, simply, ask him to give you a friend's hand.
"Lord Jesus, I want to say yes to your call. Help me to serve your people with love and generosity. Lord, make us one body! "Amen
