Dios nos ama

Mt 10, 24-33

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus apóstoles: "El discípulo no es más que el maestro, ni el criado más que su señor. Le basta al discípulo ser como su maestro y al criado ser como su señor. Si al señor de la casa lo han llamado Satanás, ¡qué no dirán de sus servidores!

No teman a los hombres. No hay nada oculto que no llegue a descubrirse; no hay nada secreto que no llegue a saberse. Lo que les digo de noche, repítanlo en pleno día y lo que les digo al oído, pregónenlo desde las azoteas.

No tengan miedo a los que matan el cuerpo, pero no pueden matar el alma. Teman, más bien, a quien puede arrojar al lugar de castigo el alma y el cuerpo.

¿No es verdad que se venden dos pajarillos por una moneda? Sin embargo, ni uno solo de ellos cae por tierra si no lo permite el Padre. En cuanto a ustedes, hasta los cabellos de su cabeza están contados. Por lo tanto, no tengan miedo, porque ustedes valen mucho más que todos los pájaros del mundo.

A quien me reconozca delante de los hombres, yo también lo reconoceré ante mi Padre, que está en los cielos; pero al que me niegue delante de los hombres, yo también lo negaré ante mi Padre, que está en los cielos''.

Gospel MT 10:24-33

Jesus said to his Apostles: 
"No disciple is above his teacher,
no slave above his master.
It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher,

If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul,

"Therefore do not be afraid of them.
Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed,
nor secret that will not be known.
What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light;
what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul;
rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy
both soul and body in Gehenna.
Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin?

Even all the hairs of your head are counted.
So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Everyone who acknowledges me before others

Meditacion:

Hoy leemos al Padre Carlos Martos en su reflexion:

El evangelio de hoy ofrece una invitación a la autoestima. Sin duda se trata de un valor necesario y escaso en tiempos como los nuestros en los que hay declarada una sorda persecución sin cuartel contra la fe. El ambiente que respiramos es hostil. Y a unos les confunde, a otros les hace temblar de dudas, a otros les endurece y a muchos le empuja a abandonar la Iglesia y la fe. Nuestra cultura genera dogmas ideológicos según los cuales la fe es sinónimo de solemne ingenuidad, de asunto para débiles o cegatos, de insensatez inútil, o también de molesta compañía. Por tanto, hay que eliminarla. Ante esa persecución tejida a base de desprecios y descréditos, suelen generarse sutilmente actitudes de revanchismo, victimismo o entreguismo. Debemos evitar reaccionar así desatendiendo las palabras de aliento del Maestro en las cuestas arribas de la fe a la intemperie.

Los “dichos” del Señor que aparecen en el evangelio de hoy convergen en una enseñanza: Desarrollar la capacidad de confiar sin dejarse hundir por el terror, el lamento o la fuga ante la persecución. Para ello el Maestro nos propone algunas verdades que por su contundencia lógica parecen de piedra.

Seguir la suerte misma del Maestro. Su vida misma es el camino y la fuerza para caminar. El itinerario está trazado en un mapa que es la vida del Señor. Tenemos los nombres de los lugares de paso: Belén, Nazaret, Galilea, Tabor, Samaría...etc. El Gólgota no es punto final, sino penúltimo. Con esa guía ni nos perdemos, ni nos detenemos antes de tiempo. Sabiendo el camino y su final, ¿por qué dudar tanto?

No temer a los hombres. No concederles poder sobre nosotros mismos. No cederles, ni explícita ni implícitamente, la menor autoridad sobre nuestra conciencia. Un solo Señor tiene el cristiano. Tener conciencia de ello nos convierte, por naturaleza, en indómitos y rebeldes ante otros poderes. No se dejemos apabullar, ni asustar por quienes tratan de usurpar el lugar del Altísimo.

Temer al que puede arrojar al castigo eterno. ¿Se está refiriendo a Dios, el Padre de misericordia? Parece que Jesús se refiere al Adversario malo que con su poder seductor y venenoso puede hacernos perder a Dios. Y quien pierde a Dios echa a perder toda su vida. A ese enemigo sí hay que temerle.. sobre todo cuando se presenta disfrazado con pieles suaves.

Dar testimonio de Él delante de los hombres. No acallar el santo nombre del Señor ante los demás. No silenciarlo nunca, ni por vergüenza, ni por miedo, ni por timidez, ni porque no esté de moda, ni porque pueda caerle mal a otros, ni por desapetencia, ni por ignorancia... Anunciarle a tiempo y a destiempo con su estilo.

Ojalá que, como se cuenta de Kant al final de su existencia, podamos confesar al final de la nuestra que dos de las cosas más asombrosas de la vida son: “El cielo estrellado fuera de mí y la conciencia dentro de mí”. La luz en la oscuridad y la rectitud en el corazón.

“Señor Jesús, gracias por tu amistad. No quiero perderme ni una sola palabra que quieras decirme hoy día.” Amen

Bear witness to Him in front of men. Do not silence the holy name of the Lord before others. Do not silence him never, not because of shame, or fear, or shyness, or because it is not fashionable, or because it may fall ill to others, or by lack of competence, or ignorance ... Announce it on time and at the wrong time with your style.

Hopefully, as Kant is told at the end of his existence, we can confess at the end of ours that two of the most amazing things in life are: "The starry sky outside of me and the conscience within me". The light in the darkness and the rectitude in the heart.
