Mt 19, 3-12
En aquel tiempo, se acercaron a Jesús unos fariseos y le preguntaron, para ponerle una trampa: "¿Le está permitido al hombre divorciarse de su esposa por cualquier motivo?"
Jesús les respondió: "¿No han leído que el Creador, desde un principio los hizo hombre y mujer, y dijo: 'Por eso el hombre dejará a su padre y a su madre, para unirse a su mujer, y serán los dos una sola cosa?' De modo que ya no son dos, sino una sola cosa. Así pues, lo que Dios ha unido, que no lo separe el hombre".
Pero ellos replicaron: "Entonces ¿por qué ordenó Moisés que el esposo le diera a la mujer un acta de separación, cuando se divorcia de ella?"
Jesús les contestó: "Por la dureza de su corazón, Moisés les permitió divorciarse de sus esposas; pero al principio no fue así. Y yo les declaro que quienquiera que se divorcie de su esposa, salvo el caso de que vivan en unión ilegítima, y se case con otra, comete adulterio; y el que se case con la divorciada, también comete adulterio".
Entonces le dijeron sus discípulos: "Si ésa es la situación del hombre con respecto a su mujer, no conviene casarse". Pero Jesús les dijo: "No todos comprenden esta enseñanza, sino sólo aquellos a quienes se les ha concedido. Pues hay hombres que, desde su nacimiento, son incapaces para el matrimonio; otros han sido mutilados por los hombres, y hay otros que han renunciado al matrimonio por el Reino de los cielos. Que lo comprenda aquel que pueda comprenderlo".

Some Pharisees approached Jesus, and tested him, saying,
"Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?"
He said in reply, "Have you not read that from the beginning
the Creator made them male and female and said,
For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?
So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Therefore, what God has joined together, man must not separate."
They said to him, "Then why did Moses command
that the man give the woman a bill of divorce and dismiss her?"
He said to them, "Because of the hardness of your hearts
Moses allowed you to divorce your wives,
but from the beginning it was not so.
I say to you, whoever divorces his wife
(unless the marriage is unlawful)
and marries another commits adultery."
His disciples said to him,
"If that is the case of a man with his wife,
it is better not to marry."
He answered, "Not all can accept this word,
but only those to whom that is granted.
Some are incapable of marriage because they were born so;
some, because they were made so by others;
some, because they have renounced marriage
for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven.
Whoever can accept this ought to accept it."

Meditacion:
El matrimonio es una vocacion. Exige ganas, tiempo, disponibilidad y muchisimas cosas mas.
Formar una familia definitivamente no es para todo mundo; al igual que el sacerdocio, muchos son los llamados y pocos los escogidos.
Pero muchas veces, al calor de una relacion pasional, las personas se casan para descubrir años despues que no era lo que pensaban o que la otra persona crecio en una direccion diferente y se fueron alejando.
Yo siempre he dicho que hay que poner a Dios en el centro de cualquier matrimonio; sin Dios, la pareja estara a merced de todo tipo de problemas que la vida quiera exponernos; con la gracia y la serenidad de Dios en nuestro corazon, la vision de la vida es mas optimista y relajada.
La pareja es un crisol que saca de nosotros lo mejor o lo peor, eso es algo que cada uno decide. Si se convierte en devocion, hare todo lo posible para que mi compañero o compañera sea la mejor version de si misma en esta vida; por el contrario, si de esa mesa servida que es el matrimonio decido solo tomar y no aportar, convertire la relacion en un infierno lento y venenoso.
Defendamos desde el inicio entonces a nuestras relaciones, poniendolas en manos de Dios, procurando orar juntos y asistir a nuestras practicas religiosas juntos.
"Padre nuestro en tus manos depositamos nuestro amor de pareja para que lo cuides y lo hagas crecer" Amen

Marriage is a vocation. It requires desire, time, availability and many more things.
Starting a family is definitely not for everyone; Like the priesthood, many are called and few are chosen.
But many times, in the heat of a passionate relationship, people get married to discover years later that it was not what they thought or that the other person grew up in a different direction and moved away.
I have always said that we must put God at the center of any marriage; Without God, the couple will be at the mercy of all kinds of problems that life wants to expose us; With the grace and serenity of God in our hearts, the vision of life is more optimistic and relaxed.
The couple is a melting pot that brings us the best or the worst, that is something that everyone decides. If it becomes a devotion, I will do my best to make my partner the best version of herself in this life; On the contrary, if from that table served that is marriage I decide to only take and not contribute, I will turn the relationship into a slow and poisonous hell.
Let us defend our relationships from the beginning, putting them in God's hands, trying to pray together and attend our religious practices together.
