Bienaventuranzas

Lc 6, 20-26

En aquel tiempo, mirando Jesús a sus discípulos, les dijo:
"Dichosos ustedes los pobres,
porque de ustedes es el Reino de Dios.
Dichosos ustedes los que ahora tienen hambre,
porque serán saciados.
Dichosos ustedes los que lloran ahora,
porque al fin reirán.

Dichosos serán ustedes cuando los hombres los aborrezcan y los expulsen de entre ellos, y cuando los insulten y maldigan por causa del Hijo del hombre. Alégrense ese día y salten de gozo, porque su recompensa será grande en el cielo. Pues así trataron sus padres a los profetas.

Pero, ¡ay de ustedes, los ricos,
porque ya tienen ahora su consuelo!
¡Ay de ustedes, los que se hartan ahora,
porque después tendrán hambre!
¡Ay de ustedes, los que ríen ahora,
porque llorarán de pena!
¡Ay de ustedes, cuando todo el mundo los alabe,
porque de ese modo trataron sus padres a los falsos profetas!''

Raising his eyes toward his disciples Jesus said:

"Blessed are you who are poor,
for the Kingdom of God is yours.
Blessed are you who are now hungry,
for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who are now weeping,
for you will laugh.
Blessed are you when people hate you,
and when they exclude and insult you,
and denounce your name as evil
on account of the Son of Man.

"Rejoice and leap for joy on that day!
Behold, your reward will be great in heaven. 
For their ancestors treated the prophets 
in the same way.
But woe to you who are rich,
for you have received your consolation.
But woe to you who are filled now,
for you will be hungry.
Woe to you who laugh now,
for you will grieve and weep.
Woe to you when all speak well of you,
for their ancestors treated the false prophets in this way."

Meditacion:

Siempre hemos considerado a las Bienaventuranzas como la Constitución Fundamental del Reino, como la marca que nos diferencia, como la plataforma existencial común de todos los seguidores de Jesucristo.

De entrada y en comparación con San Mateo, encontramos solo cuatro Bienaventuranzas; eso sí, acompañadas de cuatro “ayes” referidos a los hartos y satisfechos de sí mismos. Todo, en un estilo cortante y directo. Podemos distinguir tres partes: La proclamación de la felicidad, los sujetos (los pobres, los hambrientos, los que lloran y los perseguidos por causa del Hijo del hombre) y, en tercer lugar, el premio que reciben (de ellos es el Reino, quedarán saciados, reirán y su recompensa será grande en el cielo). Con Jesús, y en contraste con el mundo, todo queda revolucionado. Los desgraciados del mundo son aquí felices; la felicidad de Jesús es para aquellos a los que el mundo se la niega.  Observamos bien la diferencia con el Decálogo del Antiguo Testamento. El Decálogo se queda en lo externo, es un programa de mínimos y no va más allá de una norma moral. Las Bienaventuranzas van directamente al corazón para hacerlo nuevo,  es un programa ideal y se presentan como proyecto vital.

Como se aprecia, el Señor nos propone identificarnos, no con los victimarios, sino con las víctimas inocentes de la maldad, cualesquiera que sean. Y lo decía porque conocía en carne propia lo que era ser odiado injustamente, rechazado e injuriado; sabía que sus seguidores también serían ridiculizados, perseguidos y despreciados, porque sus enseñanzas chocaban con la coraza del pecado que aprisiona el corazón de cuantos rechazan a Cristo, y también de los que dicen ser cristianos, pero que llevan una vida contraria a la verdad del Evangelio. Jesús no podía dejar de anunciar su mensaje de salvación, porque para eso había venido al mundo y se sentía movido por el inmenso amor que le tenía a su pueblo.

¿Te parecen difíciles de imitar las propuestas de las bienaventuranzas? Si las meditas con calma y sinceridad, verás que son verdaderos tesoros que Cristo te ofrece, y lo hace porque son para tu bien, no para tu mal.

“Señor y Dios mío, concédeme tu gracia y tu poder para vivir según el modelo de las bienaventuranzas, porque yo solo no lo puedo hacer.

We have always considered the Beatitudes as the Fundamental Constitution of the Kingdom, as the brand that differentiates us, as the common existential platform of all the followers of Jesus Christ.

From the outset and compared to San Mateo, we find only four Beatitudes; yes, accompanied by four "ayes" referred to the fed up and satisfied with themselves. Everything, in a sharp and direct style. We can distinguish three parts: The proclamation of happiness, the subjects (the poor, the hungry, those who mourn and persecuted because of the Son of man) and, thirdly, the prize they receive (theirs is the Kingdom, they will be satiated, they will laugh and their reward will be great in heaven). With Jesus, and in contrast to the world, everything is revolutionized. The unfortunates of the world are happy here; Jesus' happiness is for those to whom the world denies it. We observe the difference well with the Decalogue of the Old Testament. The Decalogue remains external, is a minimum program and does not go beyond a moral norm. The Beatitudes go directly to the heart to make it new, it is an ideal program and they are presented as a vital project.

As can be seen, the Lord proposes to identify us, not with the perpetrators, but with the innocent victims of evil, whatever they may be. And he said it because he knew in his own flesh what it was to be unfairly hated, rejected and insulted; He knew that his followers would also be ridiculed, persecuted and despised, because his teachings clashed with the breastplate of sin that imprisons the hearts of those who reject Christ, and also of those who claim to be Christians, but who lead a life contrary to the truth of the Gospel. Jesus could not stop announcing his message of salvation, because that was why he had come into the world and felt moved by the immense love he had for his people.

Do you find it difficult to imitate the proposals of the beatitudes? If you meditate on them with calm and sincerity, you will see that they are true treasures that Christ offers you, and it does so because they are for your good, not for your evil.

"Lord and my God, grant me your grace and your power to live according to the pattern of the beatitudes, because I alone cannot do it."
