Satanas

Mc 3, 22-30 

En aquel tiempo, los escribas que habían venido de Jerusalén, decían acerca de Jesús: “Este hombre está poseído por Satanás, príncipe de los demonios, y por eso los echa fuera”. 

Jesús llamó entonces a los escribas y les dijo en parábolas: “¿Cómo puede Satanás expulsar a Satanás? Porque si un reino está dividido en bandos opuestos no puede subsistir. Una familia dividida tampoco puede subsistir. De la misma manera, si Satanás se rebela contra sí mismo y se divide, no podrá subsistir, pues ha llegado su fin. Nadie puede entrar en la casa de un hombre fuerte y llevarse sus cosas, si primero no lo ata. Sólo así podrá saquear la casa. 

Yo les aseguro que a los hombres se les perdonarán todos sus pecados y todas sus blasfemias. Pero el que blasfeme contra el Espíritu Santo nunca tendrá perdón; será reo de un pecado eterno”. Jesús dijo esto, porque lo acusaban de estar poseído por un espíritu inmundo

The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said of Jesus,
“He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and
“By the prince of demons he drives out demons.”

Summoning them, he began to speak to them in parables,
“How can Satan drive out Satan?
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
And if a house is divided against itself,
that house will not be able to stand.
And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided,
he cannot stand;
that is the end of him.
But no one can enter a strong man’s house to plunder his property
unless he first ties up the strong man.
Then he can plunder his house.  
Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies
that people utter will be forgiven them.
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit
will never have forgiveness,
but is guilty of an everlasting sin.”
For they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

Meditacion:

Has de saber, hermano, que, por medio del Bautismo, Cristo hizo que tú fueras una criatura nueva. Al parecer, el “hombre fuerte” de la lectura de hoy (Marcos 3,27) es Satanás, ¡pero Jesús es mucho más poderoso que él! ¿Crees tú que Jesús ha derrotado al enemigo más grande que tú tenías? Todo lo que Cristo te pide hacer ahora es continuar viviendo en su victoria y dejar que él gobierne tu vida. Sabemos que el diablo está siempre tratando de recuperar el control sobre la vida de los cristianos, por eso te ofrecemos algunas sugerencias.

Por la mañana, al levantarte, consagra el día al Señor; luego, durante tus quehaceres, dedica unos momentos a ponerte en presencia de Cristo. Háblale y escúchale. Aunque te parezca tener poco tiempo, pídele al Espíritu Santo que te ayude a encontrar un momento para pasar siquiera 10 minutos en la presencia de Dios. Es probable que eso sea todo lo que necesites para sentirte renovado y fortalecido. Tal vez, en otro momento del día puedas sacar cinco o diez minutos más para leer un texto de la Escritura y dejar que la Palabra de Dios te llene el corazón.

La idea es que, si llevas en tu interior la presencia de Cristo, el diablo no podrá encontrar acceso ni debilidad de la que pueda aprovecharse; así, en lugar de traspasar tus defensas, se topará de lleno con Jesús, “el hombre más fuerte” que estará montando guardia a la puerta de tu corazón.

Cuando Cristo murió en la cruz, derrotó por completo al diablo. Ahora, el enemigo es como un perro que ladra mucho pero que casi no muerde. Satanás no puede “morderte” si tú te afianzas en la victoria de Jesús y usas las armas y herramientas que el Señor te ha dado. Recuerda que Dios te ha bendecido “con toda clase de bendiciones espirituales” y te ha dado la posibilidad de que seas “santo y sin defecto en su presencia” (Efesios 1, 3.4). ¡Deposita tu fe en el poder y la gracia de Dios! Y pídele a Jesús que reine más y más en tu corazón; así verás que el diablo huye de tu lado.

“Jesús, Señor y Salvador mío, ayúdame a construir defensas estables contra el enemigo, para que yo te ame y te honre todos los días de mi vida.”

You must know, brother, that, through Baptism, Christ made you a new creature. Apparently, the "strong man" of today's reading (Mark 3.27) is Satan, but Jesus is much more powerful than he is! Do you think Jesus has defeated the greatest enemy you had? All Christ asks you to do now is to continue living in his victory and let him rule your life. We know that the devil is always trying to regain control over the lives of Christians, so we offer some suggestions.

In the morning, when you wake up, consecrate the day to the Lord; Then, during your work, take a few moments to put yourself in the presence of Christ. Talk to him and listen to him. Even if you think you have little time, ask the Holy Spirit to help you find a time to spend even 10 minutes in the presence of God. That is probably all you need to feel renewed and strengthened. Perhaps, at another time of the day you can take another five or ten minutes to read a text of Scripture and let the Word of God fill your heart.

The idea is that if you carry the presence of Christ within you, the devil will not be able to find access or weakness from which he can take advantage; Thus, instead of breaking through your defenses, you will run into Jesus, "the strongest man" who will be standing guard at the door of your heart.

When Christ died on the cross, he completely defeated the devil. Now, the enemy is like a dog that barks a lot but hardly bites. Satan cannot "bite you" if you become entrenched in the victory of Jesus and use the weapons and tools that the Lord has given you. Remember that God has blessed you "with all kinds of spiritual blessings" and has given you the possibility of being "holy and without defect in his presence" (Ephesians 1, 3.4). Put your faith in the power and grace of God! And ask Jesus to reign more and more in your heart; so you will see that the devil flees from your side.

“Jesus, Lord and my Savior, help me build stable defenses against the enemy, so that I love you and honor you every day of my life.” Amen
