Como la semilla

Jn 12, 24-26

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Yo les aseguro que si el grano de trigo sembrado en la tierra no muere, queda infecundo; pero si muere, producirá mucho fruto. El que se ama a sí mismo, se pierde; el que se aborrece a sí mismo en este mundo, se asegura para la vida eterna.

El que quiera servirme que me siga, para que donde yo esté, también esté mi servidor. El que me sirve será honrado por mi Padre’’.

JN 12:24-26

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies,
it remains just a grain of wheat;
but if it dies, it produces much fruit.
Whoever loves his life loses it,
and whoever hates his life in this world
will preserve it for eternal life.
Whoever serves me must follow me,
and where I am, there also will my servant be.
The Father will honor whoever serves me.”

Meditacion:

Una semilla no tiene mucha decision, pero si tiene una mision, morir una vez sembrada para dar frutos.

Una oruga tampoco tiene mucha decision sobre su vida, nacera, se alimentara y, un dia, construira una crisalida de la cual nacera una mariposa.

Nosotros, las personas, poseemos el libre albedrio, la capacidad de tomar decisiones buenas o erradas en nuestras vidas.

Seguir a Jesus, tomar la decision de llenarnos con su espiritualidad envuelve muchas decisiones y, generalmente, un cambio profundo y real que suele afectar no solo a nosotros mismos sino a todos los que entran en contacto con nosotros.

Hoy celebramos el martirio de San Lorenzo, diacono de la Iglesia, aquel que cuando lo estaban martirizando en una parrilla ardiente les dijo a los soldados "ya estoy bien asado de este lado, pueden darme vuelta". Sin duda que para afrontar el martirio de esta manera, hay que poseer un espiritu lleno de la presencia de Dios.

Hermanos, son tiempos complicados y dificiles los que nos tocan vivir pero en medio de estos tiempos, la presencia de Dios se intensifica y se hace mas palpable, celebremos hoy la vida, el amor, las pequeñas cosas que nos producen alegria para, como la semilla, morir a nuestros impulsos humanos y renacer como la semilla a todo aquello que haga de esta tierra, un lugar mas cercano al cielo.

"Señor hoy te pido me ayudes a seguir caminando hacia ti como alma en elevacion que soy". Amen

A seed does not have much decision, but if it has a mission, to die once sown to bear fruit.

A caterpillar does not have much decision about its life either, it will be born, it will feed and, one day, it will build a chrysalis from which a butterfly will be born.

We people have free will, the ability to make good or bad decisions in our lives.

Following Jesus, making the decision to fill ourselves with his spirituality involves many decisions and, generally, a profound and real change that usually affects not only ourselves but all those who come into contact with us.

Today we celebrate the martyrdom of Saint Lawrence, deacon of the Church, the one who when they were martyring him on a burning grill told the soldiers "I am already well roasted on this side, you can turn me around." Undoubtedly, to face martyrdom in this way, one must have a spirit full of the presence of God.

Brothers, these are complicated and difficult times that we have to live but in the midst of these times, the presence of God intensifies and becomes more palpable, today let's celebrate life, love, the little things that bring us joy, such as seed, die to our human impulses and be reborn as the seed to everything that makes this earth, a place closer to heaven.

"Lord today I ask you to help me to continue walking towards you as a soul in elevation that I am." Amen
