Marta y Maria

Evangelio

Lc 10, 38-42

Jesus entered a village
where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him.
She had a sister named Mary
who sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak.
Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said,
“Lord, do you not care
that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving?
Tell her to help me.”
The Lord said to her in reply,
“Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things.
There is need of only one thing.
Mary has chosen the better part
and it will not be taken from her.”

Meditacion:

Marta y Maria.

Marta and Maria. Not for a second should we think that Marta did not want to be near Jesus, she had invited him to her house and wanted to entertain him in the best way she could.

And that's why he ran, toiling, trying to prepare the food, cleaning here and there so that everything was nice.

Maria, on the other hand, simply sat at her feet and began to listen to her. Maria did not care that the windows were dirty, the Lord had come and she wanted to hear him.

How many times friends we are Marta, taking care of the outside, pretending that everything seems beautiful and yet we pass by Jesus.

How many times are we anxious, buying things that we will not use much, falling into gossip, making more cases on the cell phone or television and we do not have 10 minutes to shut up, close the door of the room and pray and thank for what God gives us each day, starting with our own life.

Let's not take anything for granted, everything we have God has given us and we are only administrators; With a single stroke, it can disappear.

Let's be more Maria, let's not wait to have everything fixed, let's go to Him with our bare feet, with our life of sin that He already knows and just, simply, let's ask for the Grace of Conversion for us and those we know.

"Lord help me to turn my heart into a burning one of love for you" Amen
