Mc 16, 9-15

Habiendo resucitado al amanecer del primer día de la semana, Jesús se apareció primero a María Magdalena, de la que había arrojado siete demonios. Ella fue a llevar la noticia a los discípulos, los cuales estaban llorando, agobiados por la tristeza; pero cuando la oyeron decir que estaba vivo y que lo había visto, no le creyeron.

Después de esto, se apareció en otra forma a dos discípulos, que iban de camino hacia una aldea. También ellos fueron a anunciarlo a los demás; pero tampoco a ellos les creyeron.

Por último, se apareció Jesús a los Once, cuando estaban a la mesa, y les echó en cara su incredulidad y dureza de corazón, porque no les habían creído a los que lo habían visto resucitado. Jesús les dijo entonces: "Vayan por todo el mundo y prediquen el Evangelio a toda creatura".

Gospel MK 16:9-15

When Jesus had risen, early on the first day of the week,
he appeared first to Mary Magdalene,
out of whom he had driven seven demons.
She went and told his companions who were mourning and weeping.
When they heard that he was alive
and had been seen by her, they did not believe.

After this he appeared in another form
to two of them walking along on their way to the country.
They returned and told the others;
but they did not believe them either.

But later, as the Eleven were at table, he appeared to them
and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart
because they had not believed those
who saw him after he had been raised.
He said to them, “Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.”

Meditacion:

Las lecturas del evangelio despues de Pascua son deliciosas porque nos muestran dos cosas.  Por un lado, en el evangelio, un Jesus triunfante y resucitado que se aparece aqui y alla, que sigue ensenando y sorprendiendo.. y en los Hechos de los apostoles, a Pedro y Juan que predican y les dicen al sandrin en pleno (donde estan todos los sumos sacerdotes y doctores de la Ley) "¿Es justo ante Dios que os obedezcamos a vosotros más que a él? Juzgadlo vosotros. Por nuestra parte no podemos menos de contar lo que hemos visto y oído.".

Que momento! Finalmente, la irracionalidad humana prevalece...  "Pero ellos, repitiendo la prohibición, los soltaron, sin encontrar la manera de castigarlos a causa del pueblo, porque todos daban gloria a Dios por lo sucedido."

Se recuerdan cuando les hablaba sobre esas reacciones violentas frente a Jesus? Las amenazas, los insultos cada vez que El predicaba? en ese momento les decia que la verdad incomoda, no solo a nosotros, sino a los demas.

Y aca lo vemos nuevamente... los apostoles son amenazados sencillamente por predicar la verdad.

Como dice el Beato Pablo VI: “Nosotros hombres de hoy, aunque nos consideremos en comunión con la religión cristiana –una comunión que muy a menudo se calla, se minimiza o se seculariza- poseemos rara vez o de forma incompleta el sentido de la novedad de nuestro estilo de vida. A menudo nos mostramos conformistas. El miedo al “qué dirán” nos impide presentarnos por lo que somos, esto es, como cristianos, como personas que libremente han optado por un estilo de vida…Cristiano, sé consciente, coherente, fiel y fuerte”.

Luego, en el evangelio, Marcos el evangelista, hace un corto resumen de esta semana sobre a quien se habia aparecido Jesus y cierra contudentemente "Por último, se apareció Jesús a los Once, cuando estaban a la mesa, y les echó en cara su incredulidad y dureza de corazón, porque no habían creído a los que lo habían visto resucitado." De nuevo esa flaqueza tan humana de hacer las cosas a medias.

Y aqui, al final, hay una de esas frases que marca la Iglesia  porque es lo que Jesus nos pide hacer de aca en mas, nuestra tarea principal: "«Id al mundo entero y proclamad el Evangelio a toda la creación». Al igual que lo hace con la gran comision que leemos en Mateo 28 19:20, ser discipulos es nuestra mision principal en este mundo. No lo seamos a media, proclamemos sin temor, amemos sin medida y elevemonos sin limite en nuestras vidas terrenas. Amen

The gospel readings after Easter are delicious because they show us two things. On the one hand, in the Gospel, a triumphant and risen Jesus who appears here and there, who continues to teach and surprise ... and in the Acts of the Apostles, Peter and John who preach and tell the Sandrin in full (where there are all the high priests and doctors of the Law) "Is it right before God that we obey you more than him? Do you remember when I spoke to you about these violent reactions to Jesus? The threats, the insults every time He preached? At that moment I told them that the truth bothers not only us, but others.

And here we see it again ... the apostles are threatened simply by preaching the truth.

As Blessed Paul VI says: "We men of today, even if we consider ourselves in communion with the Christian religion - a communion that very often is silent, minimized or secularized - we rarely or incompletely possess the meaning of novelty of our lifestyle. We often show conformity. The fear of "what they will say" prevents us from presenting ourselves for what we are, that is, as Christians, as people who have freely chosen a lifestyle ... Christian, be conscious, coherent, faithful and strong ".

Then, in the gospel, Mark the evangelist, makes a short summary of this week about whom Jesus had appeared and closes contudentemente "Finally, Jesus appeared to the Eleven, when they were at the table, and threw them in his face unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen him resurrected. " Once again, that human weakness of doing things half-heartedly.

And here, in the end, there is one of those phrases that the Church marks because it is what Jesus asks us to do from here on, our main task: "Go to the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to all creation." that it is with the great commission that we read in Matthew 28 19:20, to be disciples is our main mission in this world, we do not mean it, proclaim without fear, let us love without measure and let us rise without limit in our earthly lives. Vamos a pescar...

Jn 21, 1-14

En aquel tiempo, Jesús se les apareció otra vez a los discípulos junto al lago de Tiberíades. Se les apareció de esta manera: Estaban juntos Simón Pedro, Tomás (llamado el Gemelo), Natanael (el de Caná de Galilea), los hijos de Zebedeo y otros dos discípulos. Simón Pedro les dijo: "Voy a pescar". Ellos le respondieron: "También nosotros vamos contigo". Salieron y se embarcaron, pero aquella noche no pescaron nada.

Estaba amaneciendo, cuando Jesús se apareció en la orilla, pero los discípulos no lo reconocieron. Jesús les dijo: "Muchachos, ¿han pescado algo?" Ellos contestaron: "No". Entonces él les dijo: "Echen la red a la derecha de la barca y encontrarán peces". Así lo hicieron, y luego ya no podían jalar la red por tantos pescados.

Entonces el discípulo a quien amaba Jesús le dijo a Pedro: "Es el Señor". Tan pronto como Simón Pedro oyó decir que era el Señor, se anudó a la cintura la túnica, pues se la había quitado, y se tiró al agua. Los otros discípulos llegaron en la barca, arrastrando la red con los pescados, pues no distaban de tierra más de cien metros.

Tan pronto como saltaron a tierra, vieron unas brasas y sobre ellas un pescado y pan. Jesús les dijo: "Traigan algunos pescados de los que acaban de pescar". Entonces Simón Pedro subió a la barca y arrastró hasta la orilla la red, repleta de pescados grandes. Eran ciento cincuenta y tres, y a pesar de que eran tantos, no se rompió la red. Luego les dijo Jesús: "Vengan a almorzar". Y ninguno de los discípulos se atrevía a preguntarle: '¿Quién eres?', porque ya sabían que era el Señor. Jesús se acercó, tomó el pan y se lo dio y también el pescado.

Ésta fue la tercera vez que Jesús se apareció a sus discípulos después de resucitar de entre los muertos.

GospelJN 21:1-14

Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples at the Sea of Tiberias.
He revealed himself in this way.
Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus,
Nathanael from Cana in Galilee,
Zebedee’s sons, and two others of his disciples.
Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”
They said to him, “We also will come with you.”
So they went out and got into the boat,
but that night they caught nothing.
When it was already dawn, Jesus was standing on the shore;
but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.
Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught anything to eat?”
They answered him, “No.”
So he said to them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat
and you will find something.”
So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in
because of the number of fish.
So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.”
When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord,
he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad,
and jumped into the sea.
The other disciples came in the boat,
for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards,
dragging the net with the fish.
When they climbed out on shore,
they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread.
Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you just caught.”
So Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore
full of one hundred fifty-three large fish.
Even though there were so many, the net was not torn.
Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.”
And none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?”
because they realized it was the Lord.
Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them,
and in like manner the fish.
This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples
after being raised from the dead.

Meditacion:

Que hermoso evangelio es el de hoy! Y nos ensena muchisimas cosas.

Los apostoles, pescadores desde siempre, no sacaron nada hasta que Jesus vino y les dijo donde estaba la pesca.

De la misma manera hoy Jesus nos dice, en cada momento, que actitud debemos tener ante cada situacion de nuestra vida, en cada momento nosotros elegimos ser la luz para otras personas o quedarnos sin sacar ni una lombriz del fondo del lago.

El anuncio del Evangelio supone siempre el testimonio de vida del que lo proclama. La incoherencia aleja a los hombres. La vivencia personal del evangelizador dará veracidad a las palabras y a los actos. Pero también tenemos la tentación del cansancio al no ver los frutos de nuestro trabajo misionero y poco a poco empezamos a apoyarnos en otras cosas que habíamos dejado. Es difícil creer sin ver y vivir de lo invisible. En esos momentos aparece Jesús y se manifiesta de alguna forma y nos vuelve a llamar e invitar a comenzar de nuevo. Y aparece la pesca abundante.

En la primera lectura, vemos a Pedro, un Pedro iluminado por el amor de Jesus que en un discurso encendido ante la jerarquia religiosa les dice que proclaman y hacen milagros " en Nombre de Jesucristo el Nazareno, a quien vosotros crucificasteis y a quien Dios resucitó de entre los muertos; por este Nombre, se presenta este sano ante vosotros. Él es “la piedra que desechasteis vosotros, los arquitectos, y que se ha convertido en piedra angular”; no hay salvación en ningún otro, pues bajo el cielo no se ha dado a los hombres otro nombre por el que debamos salvarnos»."

Este discurso nos muestra como Jesus nos cambia, de forma muy suceptible porque conocerlo es cambiar, es decidir seguirlo.

A veces esos cambios nos parecen insignificantes pero dia a dia, igual que la gota que rompe la piedra, Dios toca y modela nuestras corazon. Pidamos a Dios, con la intersecion de Maria su madre, la gracia de ser proclamadores de su amor y testigos de los milagros que hace en nuestra vida, dia a dia. Amen

What a beautiful gospel is today! And it teaches us a lot of things.

The apostles, fishermen since always, did not take anything until Jesus came and told them where the fishing was.

In the same way today Jesus tells us, in each moment, what attitude we should have before each situation of our life, in each moment we choose to be the light for other people or stay without taking a worm from the bottom of the lake.

The proclamation of the Gospel always presupposes the life testimony of the one who proclaims it. Incoherence drives men away. The personal experience of the evangelizer will give truth to words and acts. But we are also tempted by fatigue when we do not see the fruits of our missionary work and little by little we begin to lean on other things that we have left behind. It is hard to believe without seeing and living from the invisible. In those moments Jesus appears and manifests himself in some way and calls us back and invites us to start over again. And abundant fishing appears.

In the first reading, we see Peter, a Peter enlightened by the love of Jesus who in a discourse on the religious hierarchy tells them to proclaim and perform miracles "in the Name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified and whom God raised from Among the dead, by this Name, this healthy one is presented before you, He is "the stone that you rejected, the architects, and that has become the cornerstone", there is no salvation in any other, because under heaven He has given men another name by which we should be saved. "

This discourse shows us how Jesus changes us, in a very susceptible way because to know it is to change, it is to decide to follow it.

Sometimes those changes seem insignificant but day by day, like the drop that breaks the stone, God touches and models our hearts. Let us ask God, with the intersection of Mary his mother, the grace of being proclaimers of his love and witnesses of the miracles he does in our life, day by day. Amen

Lc 24, 35-48

Cuando los dos discípulos regresaron de Emaús y llegaron al sitio donde estaban reunidos los apóstoles, les contaron lo que les había pasado en el camino y cómo habían reconocido a Jesús al partir el pan.
Mientras hablaban de esas cosas, se presentó Jesús en medio de ellos y les dijo: "La paz esté con ustedes". Ellos, desconcertados y llenos de temor, creían ver un fantasma. Pero él les dijo: "No teman; soy yo. ¿Por qué se espantan? ¿Por qué surgen dudas en su interior? Miren mis manos y mis pies. Soy yo en persona, tóquenme y convénzanse: un fantasma no tiene ni carne ni huesos, como ven que tengo yo". Y les mostró las manos y los pies. Pero como ellos no acababan de creer de pura alegría y seguían atónitos, les dijo: "¿Tienen aquí algo de comer?" Le ofrecieron un trozo de pescado asado; él lo tomó y se puso a comer delante de ellos.
Después les dijo: "Lo que ha sucedido es aquello de que les hablaba yo, cuando aún estaba con ustedes: que tenía que cumplirse todo lo que estaba escrito de mí en la ley de Moisés, en los profetas y en los salmos".
Entonces les abrió el entendimiento para que comprendieran las Escrituras y les dijo: "Está escrito que el Mesías tenía que padecer y había de resucitar de entre los muertos al tercer día, y que en su nombre se había de predicar a todas las naciones, comenzando por Jerusalén, la necesidad de volverse a Dios para el perdón de los pecados. Ustedes son testigos de esto".

GospelLK 24:35-48

The disciples of Jesus recounted what had taken place along the way,
and how they had come to recognize him in the breaking of bread.
While they were still speaking about this,
he stood in their midst and said to them,
"Peace be with you."
But they were startled and terrified
and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
Then he said to them, "Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts?
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.
Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones
as you can see I have."
And as he said this,
he showed them his hands and his feet.
While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed,
he asked them, "Have you anything here to eat?"
They gave him a piece of baked fish; 
he took it and ate it in front of them.
He said to them,
"These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you,
that everything written about me in the law of Moses
and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled."
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
And he said to them,
"Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer
and rise from the dead on the third day
and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins,
would be preached in his name
to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
You are witnesses of these things."

Dice el Padre Latorre sobre este pasaje:

"El Evangelio comienza presentando a los discípulos conversando sobre la experiencia de Emaús. Y “estaban hablando de esta cosas cuando Él (Jesús) se presentó de nuevo”, pero ellos se aterrorizaron, se llenaron de miedo, creían ver un fantasma… Les costaba aceptar la novedad de la Resurrección. Tenían la sensación de que con la Muerte de Jesús se les habían caído todas las esperanzas; ellos se habían forjado unas ilusiones muy grandes sobre el Maestro y todo había terminado en fracaso y en nada. Se les hundió su mundo interior. Se sentían como personas a la deriva y sin horizonte. La desilusión se apoderó de ellos.Para levantar a aquellos discípulos fue preciso que Jesús les dijera con cariño y ternura “palpadme”. Y aun así seguían atónitos ante lo que escuchaban y veían. Fue preciso que Jesús hiciera otro gesto “comer un pedazo de pez asado delante de ellos”.

¿Qué nos ocurre a nosotros cuando hemos vivido un gran sufrimiento (un fracaso personal, sentimental o profesional). Creemos que todo se hundió y terminó. Se nos hace difícil volver a empezar, pues nos resistimos a emprender una vida nueva. Y así como los discípulos necesitaron la pedagogía de los gestos de Jesús, también nosotros necesitamos de ese amigo, ese sacerdote, ese Sagrario que nos diga una palabra o nos coja de las manos o nos dé una palmadita en la espalda o ese momento de oración profunda ante el Sagrario donde está “El Amigo que nunca falla” y que nos dice “si me abres la puerta, entraré y cenaremos juntos”.

Los discípulos tuvieron que recorrer un largo camino hasta llegar a convencerse de que Jesús había resucitado y estaba vivo y era el mismo con quien antes habían compartido la vida. Necesitaron un tiempo de conversión profunda. Igual nos ocurre a nosotros: pasar de una fe de niños y heredada a una fe personal, adulta y responsable es un largo camino que tenemos que recorrer. Como los dos de Emaús y los otros discípulos necesitamos también escuchar la Palabra de Dios y comer el pan de la Eucaristía para que nuestros ojos se vayan abriendo a la novedad del Jesús Resucitado y así podamos dar testimonio del Señor como hizo Pedro según nos cuenta la lectura de Hechos de hoy." Amen

The Gospel begins by presenting the disciples talking about the Emmaus experience. And "they were talking about these things when He (Jesus) appeared again", but they became terrified, filled with fear, believed they saw a ghost ... It was difficult for them to accept the novelty of the Resurrection. They had the feeling that with the death of Jesus all hopes had fallen; they had forged great illusions about the Master and everything had ended in failure and nothing. Their inner world sank. They felt like people adrift and without horizon. The disappointment took hold of them. To raise those disciples it was necessary that Jesus told them with affection and tenderness "palpadme". And yet they were still astonished at what they heard and saw. It was necessary that Jesus make another gesture "eat a piece of roasted fish in front of them."

What happens to us when we have experienced great suffering (a personal, sentimental or professional failure). We believe that everything collapsed and ended. It is difficult for us to start again, because we are reluctant to start a new life. And just as the disciples needed the pedagogy of the gestures of Jesus, we also need that friend, that priest, that tabernacle to say a word to us or take us by the hands or give us a pat on the back or that moment of prayer deep before the Tabernacle where is "The Friend who never fails" and who tells us "if you open the door, I will go in and have dinner together".

The disciples had to travel a long way to convince themselves that Jesus had risen and was alive and was the same with whom they had shared life before. They needed a deep conversion time. The same thing happens to us: going from a faith of children and inherited to a personal, adult and responsible faith is a long way that we have to travel. Like the two of Emmaus and the other disciples we also need to listen to the Word of God and eat the bread of the Eucharist so that our eyes can be opened to the newness of the Risen Jesus and so we can witness to the Lord as Peter did according to what the Reading of Facts today. Amen

Seamos el evangelio nuevo

Lc 24, 13-35

El mismo día de la resurrección, iban dos de los discípulos hacia un pueblo llamado Emaús, situado a unos once kilómetros de Jerusalén, y comentaban todo lo que había sucedido.

Mientras conversaban y discutían, Jesús se les acercó y comenzó a caminar con ellos; pero los ojos de los dos discípulos estaban velados y no lo reconocieron. Él les preguntó: "¿De qué cosas vienen hablando, tan llenos de tristeza?"

Uno de ellos, llamado Cleofás, le respondió: "¿Eres tú el único forastero que no sabe lo que ha sucedido estos días en Jerusalén?" Él les preguntó: "¿Qué cosa?" Ellos le respondieron: "Lo de Jesús el nazareno, que era un profeta poderoso en obras y palabras, ante Dios y ante todo el pueblo. Cómo los sumos sacerdotes y nuestros jefes lo entregaron para que lo condenaran a muerte, y lo crucificaron. Nosotros esperábamos que él sería el libertador de Israel, y sin embargo, han pasado ya tres días desde que estas cosas sucedieron. Es cierto que algunas mujeres de nuestro grupo nos han desconcertado, pues fueron de madrugada al sepulcro, no encontraron el cuerpo y llegaron contando que se les habían aparecido unos ángeles, que les dijeron que estaba vivo. Algunos de nuestros compañeros fueron al sepulcro y hallaron todo como habían dicho las mujeres, pero a él no lo vieron".

Entonces Jesús les dijo: "¡Qué insensatos son ustedes y qué duros de corazón para creer todo lo anunciado por los profetas! ¿Acaso no era necesario que el Mesías padeciera todo esto y así entrara en su gloria?" Y comenzando por Moisés y siguiendo con todos los profetas, les explicó todos los pasajes de la Escritura que se referían a él.

Ya cerca del pueblo a donde se dirigían, él hizo como que iba más lejos; pero ellos le insistieron, diciendo: "Quédate con nosotros, porque ya es tarde y pronto va a oscurecer". Y entró para quedarse con ellos. Cuando estaban a la mesa, tomó un pan, pronunció la bendición, lo partió y se lo dio. Entonces se les abrieron los ojos y lo reconocieron, pero él se les desapareció. Y ellos se decían el uno al otro: "¡Con razón nuestro corazón ardía, mientras nos hablaba por el camino y nos explicaba las Escrituras!"

Se levantaron inmediatamente y regresaron a Jerusalén, donde encontraron reunidos a los Once con sus compañeros, los cuales les dijeron: "De veras ha resucitado el Señor y se le ha aparecido a Simón". Entonces ellos contaron lo que les había pasado en el camino y cómo lo habían reconocido al partir el pan.

That very day, the first day of the week,
two of Jesus' disciples were going
to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus,
and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred.
And it happened that while they were conversing and debating,
Jesus himself drew near and walked with them,
but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him.
He asked them,
"What are you discussing as you walk along?"
They stopped, looking downcast.
One of them, named Cleopas, said to him in reply,
"Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem
who does not know of the things
that have taken place there in these days?"
And he replied to them, "What sort of things?"
They said to him,
"The things that happened to Jesus the Nazarene,
who was a prophet mighty in deed and word

to a sentence of death and crucified him.
But we were hoping that he would be the one to redeem Israel;
and besides all this,
it is now the third day since this took place.
Some women from our group, however, have astounded us:
they were at the tomb early in the morning
and did not find his Body;
they came back and reported
that they had indeed seen a vision of angels
who announced that he was alive.
Then some of those with us went to the tomb
and found things just as the women had described,
but him they did not see."
And he said to them, "Oh, how foolish you are!
How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke!
Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things
and enter into his glory?"
Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets,
he interpreted to them what referred to him
in all the Scriptures.
As they approached the village to which they were going,
he gave the impression that he was going on farther.
But they urged him, "Stay with us,
for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over."
So he went in to stay with them.
And it happened that, while he was with them at table,
he took bread, said the blessing,
broke it, and gave it to them.
With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him,
but he vanished from their sight.
Then they said to each other,
"Were not our hearts burning within us
while he spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?"
So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem
where they found gathered together
the Eleven and those with them who were saying,
"The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon!"
Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way
and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread.

Meditacion:

El evangelio de hoy sobre los discipulos de Emaus nos recuerda con cuanta facilidad perdemos de vista nuestro objetivo de parecernos a Jesus en su vida.

Estos discipulos volvian consternados por la muerte de Jesus y aun no sabian entendido que habia resucitado, seguian viendo al mundo y lo que los rodeaba como lugares comunes, Jesus se habia ido.. que seria de ellos ahora?

Caminaron con Jesus y seguian sin reconocerlo, les explicaba las escrituras y nada. su corazon seguia en otra cosa como decimos ahora.

Tuvo que, finalmente, manifestarse en la consagracion del pan para, finalmente, reconocerlo.. y sin embargo durante todo el tiempo sentian su corazon ardiendo de amor por ese desconocido que iba caminando con ellos.

No son estos discipulos nosotros mismos, cada dia, haciendonos la promesa de ser buenos, caminando a traves de nuestra vida diaria, pasando junto a infinitos Cristos en nuestros hermanos pero sin hacer nada por ellos?

Dios me ha sorprendido mas de una vez en lugares donde no lo esperaba, en el hermano que vive en la calle, en la prostituta que me ofrece sus servicios, en el adicto que se cruza conmigo en la calle, en cada uno de ellos Jesus esta presente y nos llama a amarlos.

Y no siempre es una moneda lo que resuelve su situacion, a veces es solo una mirada que le diga que no esta solo, una bendicion, escucharlos...

Lo mismo con nuestra misma familia... tenemos la paciencia suficiente para reflejar en nuestra casa el evangelio? una vida de amor fraterno?, practicamos oracion en familia y nos bendecimos?

El evangelio de Emaus nos llama a reflexionar sobre estas cosas simples que a veces no hacemos pero que dan sentido a todas las otras cosas mas complejas como nuestras practicas religiosas diarias.

Hermanos alegrense, Jesus ha resucitado, escribamos con nuestra propia vida, el quinto evangelio y seamos testigos felices del amor diario de Dios por su creacion.

Today's gospel about the disciples of Emaus reminds us how easily we lose sight of our goal to be like Jesus in his life.

These disciples became dismayed by the death of Jesus and still did not know that he had risen, they continued to see the world and what surrounded them as common places, Jesus had left .. what would become of them now?

They walked with Jesus and still did not recognize him, he explained the scriptures and nothing. his heart was still in something else as we say now.

He had to finally manifest himself in the consecration of the bread to finally recognize it .. and yet all the time they felt his heart burning with love for that stranger who was walking with them.

Are not these disciples ourselves, each day, making us promise to be good, walking through our daily lives, passing by countless Christs in our brothers but doing nothing for them?

God has surprised me more than once in places where I did not expect it, in the brother who lives on the street, in the prostitute who offers me his services, in the addict who crosses paths with me on the street, in each one of them Jesus is present and calls us to love them.

And it's not always a coin that solves your situation, sometimes it's just a look that tells you that you're not alone, a blessing, listen to them ...

The same with our own family ... do we have enough patience to reflect the gospel in our home? a life of fraternal love ?, we practice prayer in family and we are blessed?

The gospel of Emmaus calls us to reflect on these simple things that we sometimes do not do but that give meaning to all the other more complex things like our daily religious practices.

Brothers rejoice, Jesus has risen, let us write with our own life, the fifth gospel and be happy witnesses of the daily love of God for his creation.

Jn 20, 11-18

El día de la resurrección, María se había quedado llorando junto al sepulcro de Jesús. Sin dejar de llorar, se asomó al sepulcro y vio dos ángeles vestidos de blanco, sentados en el lugar donde había estado el cuerpo de Jesús, uno en la cabecera y el otro junto a los pies. Los ángeles le preguntaron: "¿Por qué estás llorando, mujer?" Ella les contestó: "Porque se han llevado a mi Señor y no sé dónde lo habrán puesto".

Dicho esto, miró hacia atrás y vio a Jesús de pie, pero no sabía que era Jesús. Entonces él le dijo: "Mujer, ¿por qué estás llorando? ¿A quién buscas?" Ella, creyendo que era el jardinero, le respondió: "Señor, si tú te lo llevaste, dime dónde lo has puesto". Jesús le dijo: "¡María!" Ella se volvió y exclamó: "¡Rabuní!", que en hebreo significa 'maestro'. Jesús le dijo: "Déjame ya, porque todavía no he subido al Padre. Ve a decir a mis hermanos: 'Subo a mi Padre y su Padre, a mi Dios y su Dios' ".

María Magdalena se fue a ver a los discípulos para decirles que había visto al Señor y para darles su mensaje.

GospelJN 20:11-18

Mary Magdalene stayed outside the tomb weeping.
And as she wept, she bent over into the tomb
and saw two angels in white sitting there,
one at the head and one at the feet
where the Body of Jesus had been.
And they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?"
She said to them, "They have taken my Lord,
and I don't know where they laid him."
When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus there,
but did not know it was Jesus.
Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?
Whom are you looking for?"

Meditacion:

En la primera lectura de hoy del libro de los Hechos nos sigue contando cómo el testimonio de Pedro toca los corazones y se inicia una larga cadena de conversiones. La primera pesca del “pescador de hombres” fue verdaderamente milagrosa: tres mil personas recibieron sus palabras y entraron en sus redes.

Que sucede con nosotros cuando hacemos algo malo?, cuando pecamos y realmente la complicamos a fondo?, como nos sentimos?

Ese sentimiento de desazon, de soledad y tristeza, ese sentimiento de abandono y culpa es el que estaba en el corazon de todos los judios.

Es por eso que Pedro, reafirmada su fe en Jesus, sale a predicar y dice:

«Con toda seguridad conozca toda la casa de Israel que al mismo Jesús, a quien vosotros crucificasteis, Dios lo ha constituido Señor y Mesías».

Al oír esto, se les traspasó el corazón, y preguntaron a Pedro y a los demás apóstoles:

«¿Qué tenemos que hacer, hermanos?».

Pedro les contestó:

«Convertíos y sea bautizado cada uno de vosotros en el nombre de Jesús, el Mesías, para perdón de vuestros pecados, y recibiréis el don del Espíritu Santo. Porque la promesa vale para vosotros y para vuestros hijos, y para los que están lejos, para cuantos llamare a sí el Señor Dios nuestro».

Pedro llama a la conversion porque Jesus siempre esta dispuesto a perdonar.

No importa lo grande, pesada, jodida que sea la situacion, El esta dispuesto a perdonarte si ve arrepentimiento sincero en tu corazon.

Y en el evangelio, María, después de este encuentro con el Resucitado, se convierte en el símbolo de la fe plena haciéndose misionera y evangelizadora de la Palabra de Jesús: “fue corriendo a donde estaban los discípulos y les anunció: he visto al Señor” 

Para hablar de Jesús, primero es necesario encontrarse con Él. Ya lo dice San Juan en su primera carta: “Lo que hemos visto, oído y experimentado, os lo anunciamos”. Y es el Espíritu el que nos lleva al encuentro con Jesús. El Espíritu el que nos hace testigos y evangelizadores. Sin Él no somos ni podemos hacer nada; Él siempre nos precede, acompaña y da el incremento a nuestro trabajo misionero. El Espíritu está siempre presente y actuante aunque el Evangelio tenga dificultades para ser recibido por los hombres y los pueblos. El Espíritu siembra siempre por medio de los evangelizadores y sólo Él recoge los frutos a su tiempo. Al evangelizador le corresponde ser consciente de que es un instrumento del Espíritu y que debe hacer su trabajo lo mejor posible. Si el evangelizador vive una vida profunda de unión con Jesús, será mejor instrumento. El Papa Francisco habla en “La alegría del Evangelio” de “evangelizadores con Espíritu”.

Hoy se habla de Nueva Evangelización: una evangelización que incluye a todos los bautizados sin excepción. Ya no podemos decir “eso es cosa de curas, religiosos y religiosas”. Todo bautizado es evangelizador y ha sido ungido en el Bautismo para ser como Jesús “sacerdote, profeta y rey”. El Espíritu da a cada bautizado dones y carismas para el bien común, no para que cada uno se los guarde para sí. No dejemos dormir los dones recibidos, sino pongámoslos a trabajar. Todos somos importantes y nos necesitamos, como los miembros del cuerpo. Amen

What happens to us when we do something wrong? When we sin and really complicate it thoroughly? How do we feel?

That is why Peter, reaffirmed his faith in Jesus, goes out to preach and says:

"Surely know the whole house of Israel that Jesus himself, whom you crucified, God has constituted Lord and Messiah."

Upon hearing this, their hearts were pierced, and they asked Peter and the other apostles:

«What do we have to do, brothers?».

Pedro replied:

"Convert and be baptized each one of you in the name of Jesus, the Messiah, for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Because the promise is valid for you and for your children, and for those who are far away, for all those whom the Lord our God will call ".

Peter calls for conversion because Jesus is always willing to forgive.

No matter how big, heavy, fucked up the situation is, He is willing to forgive you if you see sincere repentance in your heart.

And in the Gospel, Mary, after this encounter with the Risen One, becomes the symbol of full faith becoming missionary and evangelizing of the Word of Jesus: "He ran to the disciples and announced: I have seen the Lord "

To speak of Jesus, first it is necessary to meet him. St. John says in his first letter: "What we have seen, heard and experienced, we announce to you." And it is the Spirit that leads us to the encounter with Jesus. The Spirit who makes us witnesses and evangelizers. Without Him we are not and can not do anything; He always precedes us, accompanies and gives the increase to our missionary work. The Spirit is always present and active even though the Gospel has difficulties to be received by men and peoples. The Spirit always sows through the evangelizers and only He collects the fruits in his time. The evangelist must be aware that he is an instrument of the Spirit and that he must do his job as well as possible. If the evangelizer lives a deep life of union with Jesus, he will be a better instrument. Pope Francis speaks in "The joy of the Gospel" of "evangelizers with Spirit".

Today we speak of New Evangelization: an evangelization that includes all baptized without exception. We can no longer say "that is a matter of priests, religious men and women." Every baptized person is an evangelizer and has been anointed at Baptism to be like Jesus "priest, prophet and king". The Spirit gives each baptized gifts and charisms for the common good, not so that each one keeps them for himself. Let's not let the gifts received sleep, but let's put them to work. We are all important and we need each other, like the members of the body. Amen

Las dos historias

Mt 28, 8-15

Después de escuchar las palabras del ángel, las mujeres se alejaron a toda prisa del sepulcro, y llenas de temor y de gran alegría, corrieron a dar la noticia a los discípulos. Pero de repente Jesús les salió al encuentro y las saludó. Ellas se le acercaron, le abrazaron los pies y lo adoraron. Entonces les dijo Jesús: "No tengan miedo. Vayan a decir a mis hermanos que se dirijan a Galilea. Allá me verán".

Mientras las mujeres iban de camino, algunos soldados de la guardia fueron a la ciudad y dieron parte a los sumos sacerdotes de todo lo ocurrido. Éstos se reunieron con los ancianos, y juntos acordaron dar una fuerte suma de dinero a los soldados, con estas instrucciones: "Digan: 'Durante la noche, estando nosotros dormidos, llegaron sus discípulos y se robaron el cuerpo'. Y si esto llega a oídos del gobernador, nosotros nos arreglaremos con él y les evitaremos cualquier complicación".

Ellos tomaron el dinero y actuaron conforme a las instrucciones recibidas. Esta versión de los soldados se ha ido difundiendo entre los judíos hasta el día de hoy.

GospelMT 28:8-15

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb,
fearful yet overjoyed,
and ran to announce the news to his disciples.
And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them.
They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage.
Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid.
Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, 
and there they will see me."

While they were going, some of the guard went into the city
and told the chief priests all that had happened.
The chief priests assembled with the elders and took counsel;
then they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,
telling them, "You are to say,
'His disciples came by night and stole him while we were asleep.'
And if this gets to the ears of the governor,
we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble."
The soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed.
And this story has circulated among the Jews to the present day.

Meditacion:

Los evangelios de hoy son ambos interesantes y muy ricos. A la alegria de las mujeres en su encuentro con Jesus resucitado, la primera lectura es de Hechos, libro que leeremos por unos dias y que se considera la prolongacion de los evangelios.

En el evangelio se narran dos encuentros: uno, fraternal y lleno de alegria, Jesus les sale al encuentro a las mujeres que volvian de la tumba. presurosas por anunciar la buena nueva: Jesus ha resucitado, su cuerpo no esta entre nosotros.

Jesus les da dos directivas "no tengan miedo" les dice y "vayan y digan a los hermanos que se dirijan a Galilea" y anade "alli me veran"

Esta frase esta llena de simbolismos. En nuestro encuentro personal con Jesus, hay que dejar el temor afuera. El temor es el mayor enemigo, lo que nos impide avanzar confiadamente hacia nuestro Padre. 

La segunda parte es ir hacia "nuestra" Galilea, ese lugar de encuentro que no es necesariamente fisico, porque el encuentro con Jesus puede darse en cualquier lugar y momento.

Jesus nos llama y nos espera, pacientemente, cada dia, cada hora.

Dejemos hoy el temor y avancemos hacia El.

El segundo encuentro nos muestra a los soldados reportando a los Sumos Sacerdotes que el cuerpo de Jesus no estaba. En este punto voy a nombrar el relato de la Pasion hecha por un evangelio apocrifo, el de Pedro, que describe casi minuciosamente como fue la resurreccion de Jesus, como dos angeles bajaron del cielo, movieron la roca que cerraba la tumba y sacaron a Jesus y lo llevaron al cielo.

Otro detalle que el evangelio de Pedro senala es que en la cruxifixion de Jesus solo participaron soldados no romanos, posiblemente, tropa judia o mercenaria.

Bueno.. fueron ellos los que testimoniaron (llenos de espanto) lo que sucedio esa madrugada.

Y aqui vemos el pecado que busca mentir, que busca ocultar la verdad... se vende esa verdad por dinero.

El pecado es siempre enemigo de la verdad y Jesus aun en su resurreccion paso por esto, la malidecencia.

Hermanos, Cristo ha resucitado y ha abierto las puertas del cielo para todos nosotros.

Hora de comenzar a caminar con un corazon nuevo y renovado, sabiendo confiadamente que Jesus nos espera, alla en Galilea. Amen

The gospels of today are both interesting and very rich. To the joy of women in their encounter with the risen Jesus, the first reading is of Acts, a book that we will read for a few days and that is considered the prolongation of the Gospels.

The second encounter shows the soldiers reporting to the High Priests that the body of Jesus was not there. At this point I am going to name the story of the Passion made by an apocryphal gospel, that of Peter, which describes almost as thoroughly as it was the resurrection of Jesus, as two angels came down from heaven, moved the rock that closed the tomb and took Jesus out and they took him to heaven.

Another detail that the Gospel of Peter points out is that only non-Roman soldiers, possibly a Jewish or mercenary troop, participated in the cross-fertilization of Jesus.
