Cuando venga el Señor...

Mt 25, 31-46

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "Cuando venga el Hijo del hombre, rodeado de su gloria, acompañado de todos sus ángeles, se sentará en su trono de gloria. Entonces serán congregadas ante él todas las naciones, y él apartará a los unos de los otros, como aparta el pastor a las ovejas de los cabritos, y pondrá a las ovejas a su derecha y a los cabritos a su izquierda.

Entonces dirá el rey a los de su derecha: 'Vengan, benditos de mi Padre; tomen posesión del Reino preparado para ustedes desde la creación del mundo; porque estuve hambriento y me dieron de comer, sediento y me dieron de beber, era forastero y me hospedaron, estuve desnudo y me vistieron, enfermo y me visitaron, encarcelado y fueron a verme'. Los justos le contestarán entonces: 'Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento y te dimos de comer, sediento y te dimos de beber? ¿Cuándo te vimos de forastero y te hospedamos, o desnudo y te vestimos? ¿Cuándo te vimos enfermo o encarcelado y te fuimos a ver?' Y el rey les dirá: 'Yo les aseguro que, cuando lo hicieron con el más insignificante de mis hermanos, conmigo lo hicieron'.

Entonces dirá también a los de su izquierda: 'Apártense de mí, malditos; vayan al fuego eterno, preparado para el diablo y sus ángeles; porque estuve hambriento y no me dieron de comer, sediento y no me dieron de beber, era forastero y no me hospedaron, estuve desnudo y no me vistieron, enfermo y encarcelado y no me visitaron'.

Entonces ellos le responderán: 'Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento o sediento, de forastero o desnudo, enfermo o encarcelado y no te asistimos?' Y él les replicará: 'Yo les aseguro que, cuando no lo hicieron con uno de aquellos más insignificantes, tampoco lo hicieron conmigo'. Entonces irán éstos al castigo eterno y los justos a la vida eterna".

MT 25:31-46

Jesus said to his disciples:

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory,

and all the angels with him,

he will sit upon his glorious throne,

and all the nations will be assembled before him. 

And he will separate them one from another,

as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Then the king will say to those on his right,

'Come, you who are blessed by my Father.

Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

For I was hungry and you gave me food,

I was thirsty and you gave me drink,

a stranger and you welcomed me,

naked and you clothed me,

ill and you cared for me,

in prison and you visited me.'

Then the righteous will answer him and say,

'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,

or thirsty and give you drink?

When did we see you a stranger and welcome you,

or naked and clothe you? 

When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?'

And the king will say to them in reply,

'Amen, I say to you, whatever you did

for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Then he will say to those on his left,

'Depart from me, you accursed,

into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

For I was hungry and you gave me no food,

I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,

a stranger and you gave me no welcome,

naked and you gave me no clothing,

ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.'

Then they will answer and say,

'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty

or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison,

and not minister to your needs?'

He will answer them, 'Amen, I say to you,

what you did not do for one of these least ones,

you did not do for me.'

And these will go off to eternal punishment,

but the righteous to eternal life."

Meditacion:

Hay algo muy interesante y atractivo en el evangelio de este lunes frio y ventoso sobre la bahia...

Y es el hecho de que Cristo vendra en gloria "y seran congregadas todas las naciones". El juicio final no nos encontrara siendo congregados catolicos por aca, evangelistas por alla, musulmanes alla atras.. el juicio final sera unico, personal e inapelable.

Por eso siempre haz el bien sin fijarte que bandera o raza o creencias tiene la persona. 

En ese momento Cristo no se fijara lo que tienes, se fijara lo que eres y lo que haz hecho.. Yo muchas veces escucho "pero yo soy bueno, no hago mal a nadie..".. y generalmente yo agrego "ni bien.."

Despues de la venida de Jesus los 10 mandamientos es "lo minimo", la base de todo lo demas, pero hay que leer el sermon de la montana para entender hacia donde debemos ir en cada momento.

Todas las lecturas de esta ultima semana nos preparan en esta cuaresma para el momento en que Jesus sea sacrificado y resucite... pero básicamente apuntan a que redescubramos a Jesus en el hermano que esta al lado, en nuestra familia, en nuestros compañeros de trabajo.. Hagamos hoy el bien sin mirar a quien. Amen

There is something very interesting and attractive in the gospel of this cold and windy Monday over the bay ...

And it is the fact that Christ will come in glory "and all nations will be gathered together." The final judgment will not find us being gathered Catholics here, evangelists there, Muslims back there ... the final judgment will be unique, personal and unappealable.

That's why you always do good without paying attention to what the person's flag or race or beliefs.

At that moment, Christ did not notice what you have, what you are and what you have done. I often hear "but I am good, I do not hurt anyone ..." and I generally add "no good" .. "

After the coming of Jesus the 10 commandments is "the minimum", the basis of everything else, but we must read the sermon of the mountain to understand where we should go at each moment.

All the readings of this last week prepare us in this Lent for the moment when Jesus is sacrificed and resurrected ... but basically they aim to rediscover Jesus in the brother who is next to us, in our family, in our co-workers .. Let us do good today without looking at who. Amen
