Jn 6, 16-21

GospelJN 6:16-21
When it was evening, the disciples of Jesus went down to the sea,
embarked in a boat, and went across the sea to Capernaum.
It had already grown dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing.
When they had rowed about three or four miles,
they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat,
and they began to be afraid.
But he said to them, "It is I. Do not be afraid."
They wanted to take him into the boat,
but the boat immediately arrived at the shore
to which they were heading.

Meditacion:
Amen

When I read the Gospel today, I smiled for a moment ... Look what happens ... Jesus has just done the miracle of the fish and the loaves and retires, alone, to pray; the disciples go down to fish; They take their boat, they start sailing under a strong wind when they see Jesus walking on the water ... and they get scared.
When we begin to see the glory of God, when God really begins to do miracles in us and one thing happens after the other and we do not understand how what we saw so far today is here ... we are scared.
Humans, so accustomed to battle, to not take anything for granted, when we make things easy we tend to distrust.
Again, prayer and trust in God's love will save us from that moment of fear that drives God's favor away from our attitudes.
Jesus tells the apostles "It's me, do not fear" and they quickly, recognizing him, wanted to put him in the boat but they were practically where they were going.
Today Jesus says to you, to me and to all "I am, do not fear", trust in my love and my power, do not have to battle so much, pray and trust in my hands and I will guide your life to the destiny of glory that from I have always prepared for you. Amen
