Jn 15, 9-17
En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Como el Padre me ama, así los amo yo. Permanezcan en mi amor. Si cumplen mis mandamientos, permanecen en mi amor; lo mismo que yo cumplo los mandamientos de mi Padre y permanezco en su amor. Les he dicho esto para que mi alegría esté en ustedes y su alegría sea plena.
Este es mi mandamiento: que se amen los unos a los otros como yo los he amado. Nadie tiene amor más grande a sus amigos, que el que da la vida por ellos. Ustedes son mis amigos, si hacen lo que yo les mando. Ya no los llamo siervos, porque el siervo no sabe lo que hace su amo; a ustedes los llamo amigos, porque les he dado a conocer todo lo que le he oído a mi Padre.
No son ustedes los que me han elegido, soy yo quien los ha elegido y los ha destinado para que vayan y den fruto y su fruto permanezca, de modo que el Padre les conceda cuanto le pidan en mi nombre. Esto es lo que les mando: que se amen los unos a los otros’’.
Este es mi mandamiento: que se amen los unos a los otros como yo los he amado. Nadie tiene amor más grande a sus amigos, que el que da la vida por ellos. Ustedes son mis amigos, si hacen lo que yo les mando. Ya no los llamo siervos, porque el siervo no sabe lo que hace su amo; a ustedes los llamo amigos, porque les he dado a conocer todo lo que le he oído a mi Padre.
No son ustedes los que me han elegido, soy yo quien los ha elegido y los ha destinado para que vayan y den fruto y su fruto permanezca, de modo que el Padre les conceda cuanto le pidan en mi nombre. Esto es lo que les mando: que se amen los unos a los otros’’.

You are my friends if you do what I command you.
I no longer call you slaves,
because a slave does not know what his master is doing.
I have called you friends,
because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.
It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you
and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain,
so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.
This I command you: love one another."

Meditacion:
Bueno hoy Jesus nos dice muchas cosas en este evangelio. Primero, les asegura a los apostoles que "han sido llamados y escogidos" y esto es supremamente importante. A veces no nos damos cuenta como la mano de Dios guia nuestra vida.
Lo otro importantisimo es que se "amen los unos a los otros como yo los he amado" y que "permanezcan en el amor".
Cuando uno se enamora, la felicidad nos brota, andamos alborotados, sonriendo a todo mundo; cuando salimos de un retiro, lo mismo, queremos convertir al mundo, nos sentimos fuertes en el amor de Dios, pero con los dias, el amor se desvanece, la alegria se desdibuja. Son esos "pequenos milagros diarios" los que no debemos dejar decaer en nuestra vida. O cuando compran ustedes un carro nuevo no lo siguen lavando y puliendo por mucho tiempo? Nadie compra un carro nuevo y lo deja caer, nunca lo vuelve a lavar o a cuidar. Con la gracia es lo mismo, debemos cuidarla, regarla como a nuestras relaciones de pareja o desaparecera.
No es suficiente haber recibido al Espiritu Santo si no lo uso, si lo guardo "para mi", si no reflejo ese milagro en los demas.
Celebrando ayer en la carcel juvenil de San Francisco les decia lo mismo a los chicos que se sumaron a la celebracion. Ustedes estan recibiendo esta experiencia, cuando salgan, seran los "especialistas en carceles juveniles" y deberian pensar en que deben compartir esa experiencia para que otros chicos no sufran lo que ustedes pasaron, para que no terminen aca.
De la misma manera, nosotros tenemos la obligacion de compartir nuestra gracia (permaneciendo en el amor de Dios, teniendo una vida espiritual profunda) y compartir nuestro amor a Dios (llevando a cabo acciones que ayuden a otras personas a seguir un camino de elevacion).
Queridos hermanos y hermanas Jesus lo dice, ya no somos siervos, somos amigos, iguales, pares con Nuestro Senor... usemos (literalmente) esa amistad para ayudar, para vivir de una forma confiada y alegre y para mostrar a otros nuestra forma de vida. No olvidemos nunca lo que decia San Francisco de Asis "cuida tus acciones porque puede ser el unico evangelio que otra persona vea durante ese dia".

Well today Jesus tells us many things in this gospel. First, he assures the apostles that "they have been called and chosen" and this is supremely important. Sometimes we do not realize how the hand of God guides our life.
The other important thing is that they "love one another as I have loved them" and that they "remain in love".
When one falls in love, happiness springs up, we walk in an uproar, smiling at everyone; When we leave a retreat, the same, we want to convert the world, we feel strong in the love of God, but with the days, love vanishes, joy becomes blurred. It is those "little daily miracles" that we should not allow to decay in our life. Or when you buy a new car, do not you continue to wash and polish it for a long time? Nobody buys a new car and lets it fall, never again to wash it or take care of it. With grace, it is the same, we must take care of it, water it like our relationship or it will disappear.
It is not enough to have received the Holy Spirit if I do not use it, if I keep it "for me", if I do not reflect that miracle in others.
Celebrating yesterday in the juvenile jail of San Francisco he said the same to the children who joined the celebration. You are receiving this experience, when you leave, you will be the "youth prison specialists" and you should think about sharing that experience so that other children do not suffer what you went through, so they do not end here.
In the same way, we have the obligation to share our grace (remaining in the love of God, having a deep spiritual life) and share our love for God (taking actions that help other people to follow a path of elevation) .
Dear brothers and sisters Jesus says it, we are no longer servants, we are friends, equal, peers with Our Lord ... let's use (literally) that friendship to help, to live in a confident and cheerful way and to show others our way of lifetime. Let us never forget what San Francisco de Asis said "take care of your actions because it can be the only gospel that another person sees during that day".
