La piedra angular

Mc 12, 1-12

En aquel tiempo, Jesús comenzó a hablar en parábolas a los sumos sacerdotes, a los escribas y a los ancianos y les dijo:

“Un hombre plantó una viña, la rodeó con una cerca, cavó un lagar, construyó una torre para el vigilante, se la alquiló a unos viñadores y se fue de viaje al extranjero.

A su tiempo, les envió a los viñadores un criado para recoger su parte del fruto de la viña. Ellos se apoderaron de él, lo golpearon y lo devolvieron sin nada. Les envió otro criado, pero ellos lo descalabraron y lo insultaron. Volvió a enviarles otro y lo mataron. Les envió otros muchos y los golpearon o los mataron.

Ya sólo le quedaba por enviar a uno, su hijo querido, y finalmente también se lo envió, pensando: ‘A mi hijo sí lo respetarán’. Pero al verlo llegar, aquellos viñadores se dijeron: ‘Éste es el heredero; vamos a matarlo y la herencia será nuestra’. Se apoderaron de él, lo mataron y arrojaron su cuerpo fuera de la viña.

¿Qué hará entonces el dueño de la viña? Vendrá y acabará con esos viñadores y dará la viña a otros. ¿Acaso no han leído en las Escrituras: La piedra que desecharon los constructores es ahora la piedra angular. Esto es obra de la mano del Señor, es un milagro patente?”
Entonces los sumos sacerdotes, los escribas y los ancianos, quisieron apoderarse de Jesús, porque se dieron cuenta de que por ellos había dicho aquella parábola, pero le tuvieron miedo a la multitud, dejaron a Jesús y se fueron de ahí.

Jesus began to speak to the chief priests, the scribes,
and the elders in parables.
"A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it,
dug a wine press, and built a tower.
Then he leased it to tenant farmers and left on a journey.
At the proper time he sent a servant to the tenants
to obtain from them some of the produce of the vineyard.
But they seized him, beat him,
and sent him away empty-handed.
Again he sent them another servant.
And that one they beat over the head and treated shamefully.
He sent yet another whom they killed.
So, too, many others; some they beat, others they killed.
He had one other to send, a beloved son.
He sent him to them last of all, thinking, 'They will respect my son.'
But those tenants said to one another, 'This is the heir.
Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.'
So they seized him and killed him,
and threw him out of the vineyard.
What then will the owner of the vineyard do?
He will come, put the tenants to death,
and give the vineyard to others.
Have you not read this Scripture passage:

The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done,
and it is wonderful in our eyes?"

They were seeking to arrest him, but they feared the crowd,
for they realized that he had addressed the parable to them.
So they left him and went away.

Meditacion:

Venimos de la fiesta de Corpus Christie ayer, donde celebramos el cuerpo y la sangre de Cristo, el milagro de la transfiguracion en manos del sacerdote en cada misa.

Y hoy nos encontramos con esta bellisima lectura de los vinadores que nos ensena con cuanto amor Dios creo y mantiene su Iglesia.

Revisando material para elaborar la meditacion, me acorde de donde me sonaba tan familiar,, es que la parabola copia casi exactamente el fragmento de Isaias 5 1,7:

"Quiero cantar ahora por mi amado el canto de mi amado a su viña:

Mi amado tenía una viña en una ladera fértil. 2 La cercó y la despejó de piedras, y luego plantó en ella vides escogidas; en medio del campo levantó una torre, y además construyó un lagar. Esperaba que su viña diera buenas uvas, pero dio uvas silvestres.

3 Y ahora, habitantes de Jerusalén, hombres de Judá: juzguen entre mi viña y yo. 4 ¿Qué más podía hacerse a mi viña, que yo no le haya hecho? ¿Cómo es que dio uvas silvestres, cuando yo esperaba que diera buenas uvas?

5 Pues voy a mostrarles lo que haré con mi viña: Le quitaré la cerca, para que sea consumida; abriré una brecha en su muralla, para que sea pisoteada. 6 Haré que se quede desierta. Nadie la podará ni la cultivará. Crecerán en ella cardos y espinos, y ordenaré a las nubes que no derramen lluvia sobre ella. 7 En realidad, la viña del Señor de los ejércitos es la casa de Israel, y los hombres de Judá son la planta en que él se complace. Esperaba él justicia, y sólo hay injusticia; equidad, y sólo hay iniquidad."

Fijense que interesante. En la parabola de Jesus, son los vinadores los encargados de aprovecharse de la obra de Dios; en Isaias, en cambio, es el mismo Dios, al no recibir el tipo de uva que esperaba que la abandona.

Ambas son reflejo de nuestra vida y de nuestra Iglesia porque Iglesia es comunidad y no se diferencia tanto de nuestra vida diaria.

Sin duda en la parabola de Jesus a los Sumos Sacerdotes tambien les resono Isaias y como ellos habian matado a Juan y cuantas veces Dios habia mandado profetas a Israel para que se hiciera su voluntad, sin haber logrado mucho; ahora habia mandado a su propio hijo y ellos estaban tramando su muerte.

Hermanos mios Dios nos ama  y ama su creacion. No seamos los vinadores de la parabola de Jesus... para no acabar como la vina de la que habla Isaias.

Dios tiene para nosotros un plan perfecto, un destino de gloria.. abandonemonos a su merced y dejemos que El, nuestro Rey por derecho, tome control de nuestras vidas sin mirar atras. Amen

We come from the feast of Corpus Christie yesterday, where we celebrate the body and blood of Christ, the miracle of the transfiguration in the hands of the priest at every Mass.

And today we find this beautiful reading of the vinadores who teaches us how much love God created and maintains his Church.

Reviewing material to elaborate the meditation, I remembered where it sounded so familiar to me, it is that the parable copies almost exactly the fragment of Isaiah 5 1.7:

"I want to sing now for my beloved the song of my beloved to his vineyard:

My beloved had a vineyard on a fertile hillside. 2 He surrounded it and cleared it of stones, and then planted in it choice vines; In the middle of the field he built a tower, and he also built a wine press. He expected his vineyard to give good grapes, but he gave wild grapes.

3 And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem, men of Judah: judge between me and my vineyard. 4 What else could be done to my vineyard that I did not do to it? How did he give wild grapes, when I expected him to give good grapes?

5 For I am going to show you what I will do with my vineyard: I will take away the fence for it to be consumed; I will open a breach in your wall, to be trampled. 6 I will make it desert. Nobody will prune it or cultivate it. Thistles and thorns will grow on it, and I will command the clouds not to pour rain on it. 7 In fact, the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are the plant in which he is pleased. He expected justice, and there is only injustice; equity, and there is only iniquity. "

Look what interesting. In the parable of Jesus, the vinadores are in charge of taking advantage of the work of God; in Isaias, on the other hand, it is the same God, not receiving the type of grape that he expected to leave it.

Both are a reflection of our life and of our Church because Church is community and does not differ so much from our daily life.

Undoubtedly in the parable of Jesus to the High Priests, Isaiah resonated with them and how they had killed John and how many times God had sent prophets to Israel so that his will could be done, without having achieved much; Now he had sent his own son and they were plotting his death.

My brothers God loves us and loves his creation. Let's not be the vinadores of the parable of Jesus ... not to end up like the vine that Isaias speaks about.

God has for us a perfect plan, a destiny of glory ... let us abandon ourselves to his mercy and let Him, our King by right, take control of our lives without looking back. Amen
