La gran comision

Lc 9, 1-6

En aquel tiempo, Jesús reunió a los Doce y les dio poder y autoridad para expulsar toda clase de demonios y para curar enfermedades. Luego los envió a predicar el Reino de Dios y a curar a los enfermos.

Y les dijo: "No lleven nada para el camino: ni bastón, ni morral, ni comida, ni dinero, ni dos túnicas. Quédense en la casa donde se alojen, hasta que se vayan de aquel sitio. Y si en algún pueblo no los reciben, salgan de ahí y sacúdanse el polvo de los pies en señal de acusación".

Ellos se pusieron en camino y fueron de pueblo en pueblo, predicando el Evangelio y curando en todas partes.

GospelLK 9:1-6

Jesus summoned the Twelve and gave them power and authority
over all demons and to cure diseases,
and he sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God
and to heal the sick.
He said to them, "Take nothing for the journey,
neither walking stick, nor sack, nor food, nor money,
and let no one take a second tunic.
Whatever house you enter, stay there and leave from there.
And as for those who do not welcome you,
when you leave that town,
shake the dust from your feet in testimony against them."
Then they set out and went from village to village
proclaiming the Good News and curing diseases everywhere.

Meditacion:

Y llego el gran dia.. Jesus otorga poderes a sus discipulos y los manda  a predicar, tambien les da algunas indicaciones precisas "no lleven nada para el camino, ni baston, ni morral, ni comida..." supongo que hoy nos diria "dejen el celular, libros y vayan con lo puesto..." y les dio la gran comision: predicar y curar a los enfermos.

Fijense un detalle... el cristianismo nunca fue algo cerrado, desde su creacion siempre estuvo abierto al que quisiera seguirlo y siempre tuvo esa vocacion misionera de "salir y predicar"

Con el tiempo hemos perdido esa mision y a veces hasta nos da verguenza decir que vamos a la Iglesia o que oramos en casa. nos da verguenza orar sobre nuestros alimentos o bendecir a nuestros hijos o amigos...

Y sin embargo es a lo que estamos llamados, somos misioneros cada dia, cada hora de nuestra existencia...

El otro punto que no hay que olvidar: la buena nueva está marcada por la urgencia. El evangelizador tiene que llegar y ofrecer el mensaje. Y saber salir hacia otro lugar, cuando el mensaje no es bien recibido. Lo suyo es anunciar. Hay muchos que están esperando. Y continuamente hay que buscar los medios, los lenguajes, las iniciativas que hagan llegar la buena nueva a los que no la conocen.

Hoy tenemos que seguir evangelizando. Esa es nuestra misión. No olvidemos que lo fundamental es el testimonio de vida. Y que evangelizar es urgente porque hay muchos que están esperando.

“Amado Jesús, no sé cómo ser tu mensajero, pero confío en que hoy estarás conmigo cuando yo dé el primer paso.” Amen

And the great day arrived. Jesus grants powers to his disciples and sends them to preach, he also gives them some precise indications "take nothing for the road, neither cane, nor rucksack, nor food ..." I suppose today he would tell us "Leave the cell phone, books and go with the stuff ..." and gave them the great commission: preach and cure the sick.

Fix a detail ... Christianity was never something closed, since its creation was always open to those who wanted to follow it and always had that missionary vocation to "go out and preach"

Over time we have lost that mission and sometimes we feel ashamed to say that we go to church or that we pray at home. We are embarrassed to pray about our food or to bless our children or friends ...

And yet it is to what we are called, we are missionaries every day, every hour of our existence ...

The other point that must not be forgotten: the good news is marked by urgency. The evangelist has to arrive and offer the message. And know how to go to another place, when the message is not well received. His thing is to announce. There are many who are waiting. And we must continually look for means, languages, initiatives that bring good news to those who do not know it.

Today we have to continue evangelizing. That is our mission. Let's not forget that the fundamental thing is the testimony of life. And that evangelizing is urgent because there are many who are waiting.

"Beloved Jesus, I do not know how to be your messenger, but I trust that today you will be with me when I take the first step." Amen
