Padre nuestro....

Mt 6, 7-15

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "Cuando ustedes hagan oración, no hablen mucho, como los paganos, que se imaginan que a fuerza de mucho hablar serán escuchados. No los imiten, porque el Padre sabe lo que les hace falta, antes de que se lo pidan. Ustedes pues, oren así:

Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo,
santificado sea tu nombre,
venga tu Reino,
hágase tu voluntad
en la tierra como en el cielo.

Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día,
perdona nuestras ofensas,
como también nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;
no nos dejes caer en tentación
y líbranos del mal.

Si ustedes perdonan las faltas a los hombres, también a ustedes los perdonará el Padre celestial. Pero si ustedes no perdonan a los hombres, tampoco el Padre les perdonará a ustedes sus faltas".

"In praying, do not babble like the pagans,
who think that they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them.
Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

"This is how you are to pray:

'Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.'

"If you forgive others their transgressions,
your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others,
neither will your Father forgive your transgressions."

Meditacion:

Hoy meditamos desde "La palabra entre nosotros"

El Padre Nuestro es una plegaria llena de significado, y tan breve que puedes rezarla en menos de 20 segundos. ¿Alguna vez te has preguntado por qué esta oración es tan corta?

Bueno, en realidad el Padre Nuestro no necesita ser larga. De hecho, no por ser largas las plegarias captan más la atención de Dios que las cortas y no hay que preocuparse de decir exactamente lo correcto para que nuestro Padre celestial nos conceda una “audiencia” (Mateo 6, 7). Él siempre está atento a tus necesidades porque te ama. Incluso en este momento, sus ojos están sobre ti y sus oídos están atentos a lo que tú quieras decirle.

Segundo, el Padre Nuestro es corto para que sea fácil de memorizar. Aunque esto pareaca una razón puramente práctica, podemos recordar que durante siglos, los escritos eran muy escasos, costosos y difíciles de distribuir, y mucha gente no sabía leer. Por eso, el Señor lo hizo de tal forma que cualquiera pudiera aprender de memoria esta oración y rezarla en cualquier momento y lugar.

Tercero, el Padre Nuestro ofrece la oportunidad de escuchar. Su brevedad nos concede tiempo para decirle al Señor: “Quiero escuchar también lo que me quieras decir.” Piensa en una conversación sincera que hayas tenido con un ser querido. Probablemente tú no fuiste el único que habló y con certeza la otra persona también habló con toda honestidad. Así, escuchando, fuiste descubriendo algo nuevo de esa persona y tal vez sus palabras te conmovieron el corazón de alguna manera. Los mejores tiempos de oración son así. Cuando rezamos el Padre Nuestro, decimos lo que es más esencial, lo que necesitamos decir. Luego podemos cambiar rápidamente y poner atención para escuchar a Dios y darle la oportunidad de hablarnos.

Intenta rezar el Padre Nuestro en un momento de quietud. Rézalo lentamente; haz varias pausas y medita en cada frase. Recuerda que Dios escucha cada palabra que le dices; es más, él ve tu corazón. Él conoce todas tus anhelos y necesidades, y ni siquiera es necesario que se las menciones. Más bien, puedes darle garcias por esta oración tan hermosa y simple que nos ha dado. Luego invítalo a que te responda. A lo mejor así puedes iniciar una conversación muy significativa con él.

In fact, prayers do not attract God's attention because they are short and we do not have to worry about saying exactly what is right for our heavenly Father to grant us an "audience" (Matthew 6, 7). Therefore, the Lord did it in such a way that anyone could memorize this prayer and pray it at any time and place.

Third, the Our Father offers the opportunity to listen. Its brevity gives us time to tell the Lord: "I want to hear what you want to say to me too." Think of a sincere conversation you have had with a loved one. Probably you were not the only one who spoke and with certainty the other person also spoke with all honesty. So, listening, you were discovering something new from that person and maybe your words touched your heart in some way. The best times of prayer are like that. When we pray the Our Father, we say what is most essential, what we need to say. Then we can change quickly and pay attention to listen to God and give him the opportunity to speak to us.

Try to pray the Our Father in a quiet moment. Reheat it slowly; take several breaks and meditate on each phrase. Remember that God hears every word you say to him; What's more, he sees your heart. He knows all your desires and needs, and it is not even necessary to mention them. Rather, you can give him garcias for this beautiful and simple prayer that he has given us. Then invite him to answer you. Maybe you can start a very meaningful conversation with him.
