Dueño del sabado

Lc 6, 1-5

Un sábado, Jesús iba atravesando unos sembrados y sus discípulos arrancaban espigas al pasar, las restregaban entre las manos y se comían los granos. Entonces unos fariseos les dijeron: "¿Por qué hacen lo que está prohibido hacer en sábado?"

Jesús les respondió: "¿Acaso no han leído lo que hizo David una vez que tenían hambre él y sus hombres? Entró en el templo y tomando los panes sagrados, que sólo los sacerdotes podían comer, comió de ellos y les dio también a sus hombres".

Y añadió: "El Hijo del hombre también es dueño del sábado".

While Jesus was going through a field of grain on a sabbath,
his disciples were picking the heads of grain,
rubbing them in their hands, and eating them.
Some Pharisees said,
“Why are you doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?”
Jesus said to them in reply,
“Have you not read what David did
when he and those who were with him were hungry?
How he went into the house of God, took the bread of offering,
which only the priests could lawfully eat,
ate of it, and shared it with his companions?”
Then he said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the sabbath.”

Meditacion:

Cuantas veces nosotros sacralizamos lo que no deberia serlo!

Este evangelio nos habla de eso, de atarnos a practicas o cosas que parecen evangelizadoras y santas pero en realidad carecen de una real importancia sagrada.

Cuando leo este pasaje de la biblia siempre siento como que nos hemos dejado llevar por esta "Iglesia corporativista" llena de simbolismo y nos falta, en palabras del Papa Francisco, "olor a oveja", estar mas cerca de nuestros hermanos.

Yo siempre digo que ir a misa el domingo debe ser el final de una semana llena de pequeños actos sacramentales, cositas que por alli uno hace por la otra persona que demuestran mi amor y entrega... No deben ser grandes cosas... escuchar a alguien en sus problemas, hacer algo por alguien sin reproche y con alegria, donar nuestro tiempo para alguna buena causa... esas son las cosas que el domingo llevamos a la misa, nuestro aporte a la santidad del mundo.

Cuántos “sábados” construimos contra el hombre: el dinero, el poder, la ley, las tradiciones, las ideologías. No es Dios quien nos arrebata la libertad sino el idolatrar las cosas. Si Dios es infinito, todo cabe en Él; si Dios es amor, siempre quiere lo mejor para nosotros. Vamos a conjugar el descanso, el ocio, la fiesta, lo gratuito con el culto, la adoración, la escucha de la palabra. Lo realmente inconcebible es querer agradar a Dios fastidiando al hombre. Cuántos conflictos por querer defender a Dios en ritos, formulaciones, formalidades. Solo nos toca discernir: ¿Es esto realmente lo que Dios quiere en este momento? ¿Con esto amamos realmente a los hombres según el querer de Dios? Y siempre con Jesús: antes el hombre que el sábado.

“Señor y Salvador nuestro, enséñanos a honrar el domingo y no faltar a Misa, aquel encuentro divino al que nos invitas para alimentarnos con tu Cuerpo y tu Sangre.” Amen

How many times we sacralize what it shouldn't be!

This gospel tells us about that, about binding ourselves to practices or things that seem evangelizing and holy but in reality they lack real sacred importance.

When I read this passage from the Bible I always feel like we have been carried away by this "corporatist Church" full of symbolism and we lack, in the words of Pope Francis, "smell of sheep", being closer to our brothers.

I always say that going to Mass on Sunday should be the end of a week full of small sacramental acts, little things that one does there for the other person that demonstrates my love and dedication ... They should not be great things ... listen to someone in their problems, to do something for someone without reproach and with joy, to donate our time for some good cause ... those are the things that we bring to Mass on Sunday, our contribution to the holiness of the world.

How many “Saturdays” we build against man: money, power, law, traditions, ideologies. It is not God who takes away our freedom but idolizes things. If God is infinite, everything fits in Him; If God is love, he always wants the best for us. We will combine rest, leisure, party, free with worship, worship, listening to the word. The really inconceivable thing is to want to please God by annoying man. How many conflicts for wanting to defend God in rites, formulations, formalities. We just have to discern: Is this really what God wants right now? Do we really love men according to God's will? And always with Jesus: before man than on Saturday.

“Lord and our Savior, teach us to honor Sunday and not miss Mass, that divine encounter you invite us to feed with your Body and your Blood.” Amen
