La mano paralizada

Lc 6, 6-11

Un sábado, Jesús entró en la sinagoga y se puso a enseñar. Había allí un hombre que tenía la mano derecha paralizada. Los escribas y fariseos estaban acechando a Jesús para ver si curaba en sábado y tener así de qué acusarlo.

Pero Jesús, conociendo sus intenciones, le dijo al hombre de la mano paralizada: "Levántate y ponte ahí en medio". El hombre se levantó y se puso en medio. Entonces Jesús les dijo: "Les voy a hacer una pregunta: ¿Qué es lo que está permitido hacer en sábado: el bien o el mal, salvar una vida o acabar con ella?" Y después de recorrer con la vista a todos los presentes, le dijo al hombre: "Extiende la mano". El la extendió y quedó curado.

Los escribas y fariseos se pusieron furiosos y discutían entre sí lo que le iban a hacer a Jesús.

On a certain sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue and taught,
and there was a man there whose right hand was withered.
The scribes and the Pharisees watched him closely
to see if he would cure on the sabbath
so that they might discover a reason to accuse him.
But he realized their intentions
and said to the man with the withered hand,
"Come up and stand before us."
And he rose and stood there.
Then Jesus said to them,
"I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the sabbath
rather than to do evil,
to save life rather than to destroy it?"
Looking around at them all, he then said to him,
"Stretch out your hand."
He did so and his hand was restored.
But they became enraged
and discussed together what they might do to Jesus.

Meditacion:

Visto a la distancia, la discusion de hoy dia en el evangelio respecto a que si se puede hacer el bien en sabado, nos parece antigua y venida a menos.

Por supuesto que primero esta la vida de una persona! Por supuesto que si podemos ayudar, lo haremos de corazon, sin fijarnos si es sabado o lunes o domingo.

Porque como les decia el sabado pasado, son esas pequenas cosas las que llevaremos luego al altar del domingo.

Pero muchas veces nosotros tambien tenemos la mano paralizada y vemos pasar al indigente, a la hermana prostituta, al adicto y sencillamente, desviamos la mirada y lo volvemos invisible.

La humanidad duele, con cada capa de egoismo propio que dejamos caer, con cada pincelada de humanidad que nos llenamos, estamos mas cerca de mover la mano para ayudar al hermano pero vamos perdiendo esa indiferencia tan mala para nuestra propia salvacion.

Es muy importante volvernos sensible a las necesidades de los demas; como decia Santa Madre Teresa "hay que amar hasta que duela" y sin duda que movidos por ese amor nos convertiremos en testigos de Dios en la tierra.

Está claro. No podemos divorciar el bien de los hombres y el bien de Dios. Si es la misma cosa: “Tuve hambre y me disteis de comer”, y está hablando de socorrer al prójimo. Ante el dolor, la única respuesta, humana y cristiana, es sanar. Una religión que no cura, ¿qué pinta? Para Jesús, lo primero el hombre, imagen de Dios, hijo de Dios. Otros, lejos del Evangelio, se aferran a la ley: “Está escrito, cúmplase”.  Parece que hay gente con el corazón seco. Cuántas batallitas rompen la armonía y la paz de Dios, por mil minucias. ¿Hará falta ejemplificar? (Consultemos algunos comentarios en Internet, dentro de páginas religiosas). Acabemos con mirada positiva. Nuestro sábado, nuestro día santo es el domingo: que es Pascua, Resurrección, fiesta, Eucaristía, comunión, banquete, sacrificio de Cristo presente, gratuidad. Todo. 

“Señor, ayúdame a ver cuánto me has bendecido en el pasado, para que yo pueda abrirme a recibir tu gracia en el futuro.” Amen

It is very important to become sensitive to the needs of others; As Santa Mother Teresa said "we must love until it hurts" and without a doubt that moved by that love we will become witnesses of God on earth.

Of course We cannot divorce the good of men and the good of God. If it is the same thing: "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat," and he is talking about helping others. In the face of pain, the only response, human and Christian, is to heal. A religion that does not cure, what does it look like? For Jesus, first man, image of God, son of God. Others, far from the Gospel, cling to the law: "It is written, be fulfilled." It seems that there are people with a dry heart. How many battles break God's harmony and peace, for a thousand minutiae.
