La paja en el ojo ajeno....

Lc 6, 39-42

En aquel tiempo, Jesús propuso a sus discípulos este ejemplo: “¿Puede acaso un ciego guiar a otro ciego? ¿No caerán los dos en un hoyo? El discípulo no es superior a su maestro; pero cuando termine su aprendizaje, será como su maestro.

¿Por qué ves la paja en el ojo de tu hermano y no la viga que llevas en el tuyo? ¿Cómo te atreves a decirle a tu hermano: ‘Déjame quitarte la paja que llevas en el ojo’, si no adviertes la viga que llevas en el tuyo? ¡Hipócrita! Saca primero la viga que llevas en tu ojo y entonces podrás ver, para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano”

Jesus told his disciples a parable:
"Can a blind person guide a blind person?
Will not both fall into a pit?
No disciple is superior to the teacher;
but when fully trained,
every disciple will be like his teacher.
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye,
but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
How can you say to your brother,
'Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye,'
when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye?
You hypocrite!  Remove the wooden beam from your eye first;
then you will see clearly
to remove the splinter in your brother's eye."

Meditacion:

Tres sentencias del Maestro apunta hoy el Evangelio. Un ciego no puede guiar a otro ciego, un discípulo no puede ser más que su maestro, no puede uno fijarse en la mota del ojo ajeno si no repara en la viga del suyo propio. Dicen los comentaristas estudiosos que Jesús reprueba aquí el dominio sobre los otros, el poderío que se sobrepone al hermano y el juicio condenatorio hacia los demás.

Juzgamos con mucha facilidad a los demás, pero no nos colocamos en la piel del otro; tenemos y damos muchas ideas, pero no nos comprometemos, no bajamos a la arena de los hechos; sentenciamos sobre mil problemas, pero no ofrecemos soluciones o no nos mojamos para resolverlos. Incluso, con frecuencia, nos hacemos las víctimas, y gritamos que las causas de todos los males están siempre en los demás. A los que así se comportan Jesús los llama hipócritas. Hasta, por soberbia, proyectamos sobre los otros nuestros propios defectos; qué bien lo dice San Agustín: “Procurad adquirir las virtudes que creéis que faltan en vuestros hermanos, y ya no veréis sus defectos…porque no los tendréis vosotros”. Purifiquemos los ojos de nuestro rostro y de nuestro corazón. Solo nos queda una cosa: vamos a mirar con los ojos de Dios. Así miraremos con ojos limpios. Nada de imponer, nada de dominar, nada de condenar a nadie. Amar, solo amar

Conocemos el mandamiento de Jesús: “Ama al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma y con toda tu mente… Ama a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.” Pero la clave está en saber qué significa “amar a Dios”. Nadie puede amar a quien no conoce y el hecho de decir “yo amo a Dios” no significa necesariamente que lo amemos de verdad. El amor hay que demostrarlo en acciones concretas: “Si nos amamos unos a otros, Dios vive en nosotros y su amor se hace realidad en nosotros… Si uno no ama a su hermano, a quien ve, tampoco puede amar a Dios, a quien no ve” (1 Juan 4, 12. 20). Hermano, pídele al Señor la iluminación de su luz sanadora para que puedas librarte del egocentrismo y la arrogancia.

“Señor, Redentor mío, quiero ser un buen discípulo tuyo y amar a mis semejantes como tú me amas a mí.” Amen

Three sentences of the Master points to the Gospel today. A blind man cannot lead another blind man, a disciple cannot be more than his teacher, he cannot look at the speck of his eyes if he does not notice the beam of his own. The studious commentators say that Jesus here reproves dominion over others, the power that overcomes the brother and the condemnatory judgment towards others.

We judge others very easily, but we do not place ourselves in each other's skin; we have and give many ideas, but we don't commit ourselves, we don't go down to the arena of facts; We sentence about a thousand problems, but we don't offer solutions or we don't get wet to solve them. Let's purify the eyes of our face and our heart. We only have one thing left: let's look with God's eyes. So we will look with clean eyes. Nothing to impose, nothing to dominate, nothing to condemn anyone. Love only love

We know the commandment of Jesus: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind ... Love your neighbor as yourself." But the key is to know what it means to "love God" . No one can love those who do not know and saying "I love God" does not necessarily mean that we really love him. Love must be demonstrated in concrete actions: “If we love each other, God lives in us and his love comes true in us… If one does not love his brother, whom he sees, he cannot love God, who He does not see ”(1 John 4, 12. 20). Brother, ask the Lord for the illumination of his healing light so that you can free yourself from self-centeredness and arrogance.

“Lord, my Redeemer, I want to be a good disciple of yours and love my fellow men as you love me.” Amen
