Mt 5, 27-32

GospelMT 5:27-32
Jesus said to his disciples:
“You have heard that it was said, You shall not commit adultery.
But I say to you,
everyone who looks at a woman with lust
has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
If your right eye causes you to sin,
tear it out and throw it away.
It is better for you to lose one of your members
than to have your whole body thrown into Gehenna.
And if your right hand causes you to sin,
cut it off and throw it away.
It is better for you to lose one of your members
than to have your whole body go into Gehenna.
“It was also said,
Whoever divorces his wife must give her a bill of divorce.
But I say to you,
whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful)
causes her to commit adultery,
and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”
Whoever divorces his wife must give her a bill of divorce.
But I say to you,
whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful)
causes her to commit adultery,
and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”

Meditacion:
Amen

Well if we were to take literally this Gospel, many would be in trouble and there would be many blind, handicapped and disabled people.
But don't panic! Let's get to the bottom of the matter here. Jesus rescues the depth of the mystery of love, in those times, many people lived in appearances, saying pious and committing the greatest sins or living a licentious life.
We must avoid occasions of sin, especially those that can affect our families ... if I know that person is starting to like me but I am married ... I will try to avoid it.
And even Jesus remembers the married woman who at that time could be easily despised. Here it goes against everything that the Jews thought at that time because it says that you can divorce, but you expose yourself to adultery ... above all, Jesus rescues the value of married love and the dignity of women.
In other words, we try to avoid the occasions of sin in our daily life. And those of us who are married, appreciate and love our partner.
But not everything ends here! allow the Holy Spirit to be your guide as you meditate on these points. If he brings to mind some areas where you need correction, take advantage of the Sacrament of Reconciliation to put yourself at peace with God and with yourself. Remember that no matter what you have done, Jesus can restore your purity and innocence. Never underestimate the power that forgiveness can bring to your life. And do not fear what the confessor will think of you. You've heard it before anyway! Just give your heart to Jesus, he comforts you, heals you and sets you free.
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for your mercy. I repent of any sexual sin I have committed and ask you to heal and purify me, to build your Kingdom and focus on what is true, good, and holy. ” Amen
