Lc 16, 1-8
En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Había una vez un hombre rico que tenía un administrador, el cual fue acusado ante él de haberle malgastado sus bienes. Lo llamó y le dijo: ‘¿Es cierto lo que me han dicho de ti? Dame cuenta de tu trabajo, porque en adelante ya no serás administrador’. Entonces el administrador se puso a pensar: ‘¿Qué voy a hacer ahora que me quitan el trabajo? No tengo fuerzas para trabajar la tierra y me da vergüenza pedir limosna. Ya sé lo que voy a hacer, para tener a alguien que me reciba en su casa, cuando me despidan’.
Entonces fue llamando uno por uno a los deudores de su amo. Al primero le preguntó: ‘¿Cuánto le debes a mi amo?’ El hombre respondió: ‘Cien barriles de aceite’. El administrador le dijo: ‘Toma tu recibo, date prisa y haz otro por cincuenta’. Luego preguntó al siguiente: ‘Y tú, ¿cuánto debes?’ Este respondió: ‘Cien sacos de trigo’. El administrador le dijo: ‘Toma tu recibo y haz otro por ochenta’.
El amo tuvo que reconocer que su mal administrador había procedido con habilidad. Pues los que pertenecen a este mundo son más hábiles en sus negocios que los que pertenecen a la luz’’.

who was reported to him for squandering his property.
He summoned him and said,
‘What is this I hear about you?
Prepare a full account of your stewardship,
because you can no longer be my steward.’
The steward said to himself, ‘What shall I do,
now that my master is taking the position of steward away from me?
I am not strong enough to dig and I am ashamed to beg.
I know what I shall do so that,
when I am removed from the stewardship,
they may welcome me into their homes.’
He called in his master’s debtors one by one.
To the first he said, ‘How much do you owe my master?’
He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’
He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note.
Sit down and quickly write one for fifty.’
Then to another he said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’
He replied, ‘One hundred measures of wheat.’
He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note;
write one for eighty.’
And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently.
For the children of this world
are more prudent in dealing with their own generation
than the children of light.”

Meditacion:
Quien trabaje en un puesto de atención al cliente conoce el valor de practicar las habilidades sociales, la buena comunicación, accesibilidad y empatía, para asegurarse la lealtad del cliente y una red segura de relaciones. Parece que el administrador deshonesto de la parábola de Jesús aprendió la misma lección: se atrae más a las personas con miel que con vinagre. Así que, cuando su jefe lo despidió por despilfarrar su riqueza, él sabía que debía reparar la relación que tenía con otras personas de su comunidad para poder sobrevivir. Su motivo había sido servirse a sí mismo, pero al menos él entendía que ser generoso y misericordioso le daría más beneficios que la extorsión y Jesús elogió su astucia.
Lo que este administrador deshonesto hizo por egoísmo nosotros podemos hacerlo por piedad. Mostrar misericordia siempre es una buena estrategia, especialmente en nuestra parroquia. La iglesia a la que asistes es tu “hogar” católico, donde tus hermanos en Cristo se reúnen para celebrar un banquete familiar. Podría ser fácil pensar que la Misa simplemente es “mi tiempo” con Jesús, pero el Señor no solo habita en el sagrario. También habita en todos los que se reúnen contigo, incluyendo al que canta desafinado o la familia con niños inquietos. La forma en la que tratas a tus hermanos en la iglesia es un indicador importante de la relación que tienes con Dios.
Echar dinero en la canasta de las ofrendas es tan importante como ajustar tu actitud frente a aquel que crees que está siendo desconsiderado. ¿Cuál es la mejor manera para crear un espacio de camaradería y unidad en tu parroquia? ¿Cuál es la mejor forma de respetar el momento en que todos recibimos la gracia y el poder del Señor Jesús?
En la Misa del próximo domingo, al momento del Signo de la Paz, asegúrate de que realmente estás en paz con quienes te rodean. Si alguien o algo te molesta, pídele a Jesús que te ayude a dejar eso de lado y a centrarte en edificar la unidad de la iglesia. Sin importar cuáles sean las dificultades que estés enfrentando, recuerda que él te ayudará a actuar con amor. Recuerda, él ama a todas las personas que están alrededor tuyo de la misma forma en que te ama a ti.
“Señor, quiero ver tu rostro en aquellos con quienes me encuentre en Misa.”

Anyone who works in a customer service position knows the value of practicing social skills, good communication, accessibility and empathy, to ensure customer loyalty and a secure network of relationships. It seems that the dishonest administrator in Jesus' parable learned the same lesson: he is more attracted to people with honey than with vinegar. So when his boss fired him for squandering his wealth, he knew that he had to repair the relationship he had with other people in his community in order to survive. His motive had been to serve himself, but at least he understood that being generous and merciful would pay him more than extortion, and Jesus praised his cunning.
What this dishonest manager did out of selfishness we can do out of mercy. Showing mercy is always a good strategy, especially in our parish. The church you attend is your Catholic “home,” where your brothers in Christ gather for a family banquet. It might be easy to think that Mass is simply “my time” with Jesus, but the Lord does not just dwell in the tabernacle. He also inhabits everyone who meets you, including the one who sings out of tune or the family with restless children. The way you treat your brothers in the church is an important indicator of your relationship with God.
Pouring money into the offering basket is as important as adjusting your attitude towards someone you think is being inconsiderate. What is the best way to create a space of camaraderie and unity in your parish? What is the best way to respect the moment when we all receive the grace and power of the Lord Jesus?
At Mass next Sunday, at the time of the Sign of Peace, make sure that you really are at peace with those around you. If someone or something is bothering you, ask Jesus to help you put that aside and focus on building the unity of the church. No matter what difficulties you are facing, remember that he will help you act with love. Remember, he loves all the people around you in the same way that he loves you.
"Lord, I want to see your face in those with whom I meet at Mass."
