Jn 16, 23-28

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Yo les aseguro: cuanto pidan al Padre en mi nombre, se lo concederá. Hasta ahora no han pedido nada en mi nombre. Pidan y recibirán, para que su alegría sea completa.

Les he dicho estas cosas en parábolas; pero se acerca la hora en que ya no les hablaré en parábolas, sino que les hablaré del Padre abiertamente. En aquel día pedirán en mi nombre, y no les digo que rogaré por ustedes al Padre, pues el Padre mismo los ama, porque ustedes me han amado y han creído que salí del Padre. Yo salí del Padre y vine al mundo; ahora dejo el mundo y vuelvo al Padre’’.

Meditacion:

Querido amigo/a que lees estas líneas, ¿crees tú que estas palabras son ciertas? ¿No te parece que son una prueba para tu fe? Quizá uno de los obstáculos más grandes de la vida cristiana es creer que Dios escucha nuestras oraciones y nos protege, incluso cuando aparentemente no hay respuesta. En la vida espiritual hay cosas que nunca podremos explicarnos, porque somos criaturas limitadas e imperfectas que tratan de descubrir y entender la voluntad de un Dios infinito y perfecto. Ahora, la interrogante que nos preocupa es: ¿Cómo podemos seguir teniendo una fe firme en el Señor cuando no obtenemos lo que pedimos?

Si estamos convencidos de que nuestro Padre es bondadoso, tierno y compasivo y que nos ama incondicionalmente, debemos creer también que todo lo que él nos concede es para nuestro bien último. Por eso, si le pedimos al Señor lo que necesitamos, debemos hacerlo a partir de la verdad de que él es Dios. Debemos aferrarnos a esta verdad aun cuando aparentemente las circunstancias nos digan lo contrario. Lo cierto es que Dios nos escucha, conoce bien hasta los rincones más profundos de nuestro corazón y siempre responde a nuestras oraciones de una manera provechosa para nuestro bien.

En efecto, si dejamos que la vida divina crezca en nuestro ser, las peticiones que hagamos irán gradualmente adoptando una nueva dimensión. Adoptaremos “el modo de pensar de Cristo” (1 Corintios 2, 16) y le pediremos al Padre con una humildad como la de Jesús; el Espíritu Santo nos hará como niños y nos librará de los deseos egoístas y prepotentes de la naturaleza caída. Con el tiempo, empezaremos a desear lo mismo que el Padre, principalmente que el Reino de Dios se propague en la tierra.

El Señor quiere que confiemos en su sabiduría hasta en las cosas que no consideramos espirituales, como un trabajo distinto o una nueva casa, porque él se preocupa de todos los aspectos de nuestra vida y quiere concedernos todo buen don que nos ayude a imitarlo mejor. Confiemos, pues, en Dios y aceptemos humildemente la sabiduría que él tiene para cada uno.

“Padre celestial, deposito mi vida en tus manos, porque sé que me conoces y que jamás me abandonarás. Te pido por todas mis necesidades, Señor, y por las de mis familiares y seres queridos.” Amen

Dear friend who reads these lines, do you think these words are true? Don't you think they are a test for your faith? Perhaps one of the greatest obstacles in the Christian life is believing that God hears our prayers and protects us, even when there is apparently no answer. In the spiritual life there are things that we can never explain to ourselves, because we are limited and imperfect creatures that try to discover and understand the will of an infinite and perfect God. Now the question that concerns us is: How can we continue to have firm faith in the Lord when we don't get what we ask for?

If we are convinced that our Father is kind, tender and compassionate and that he loves us unconditionally, we must also believe that everything he grants us is for our ultimate good. Therefore, if we ask the Lord for what we need, we must do it based on the truth that he is God. We must hold on to this truth even when circumstances seem to tell us otherwise. The truth is that God listens to us, knows even the deepest corners of our hearts well and always answers our prayers in a way that is beneficial for our good.

Indeed, if we allow divine life to grow in our being, the requests we make will gradually adopt a new dimension. We will adopt "the way of thinking of Christ" (1 Corinthians 2, 16) and we will ask the Father with a humility like that of Jesus; the Holy Spirit will make us like children and deliver us from the selfish and arrogant desires of fallen nature. In time, we will begin to desire the same as the Father, mainly that the Kingdom of God spread on earth.

The Lord wants us to trust in his wisdom even in things that we do not consider spiritual, like a different job or a new house, because he cares about all aspects of our lives and wants to grant us every good gift that helps us to imitate him better. So let us trust God and humbly accept the wisdom that he has for each one.

“Heavenly Father, I place my life in your hands, because I know that you know me and that you will never abandon me. I ask you for all my needs, Lord, and for those of my family and loved ones. ” Amen

Se alegrara su corazon

Jn 16, 20-23

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Les aseguro que ustedes llorarán y se entristecerán, mientras el mundo se alegrará. Ustedes estarán tristes, pero su tristeza se transformará en alegría.

Cuando una mujer va a dar a luz, se angustia, porque le ha llegado la hora; pero una vez que ha dado a luz, ya no se acuerda de su angustia, por la alegría de haber traído un hombre al mundo. Así también ahora ustedes están tristes, pero yo los volveré a ver, se alegrará su corazón y nadie podrá quitarles su alegría. Aquel día no me preguntarán nada’’.

Meditacion:

Hoy día evangelizar, dar a conocer la persona de Jesús, no ha pasado de moda ni es cosa de la antigüedad. Hoy hay una urgencia especial de dar a conocer el mensaje de Jesús. Los medios de comunicación se han multiplicado y están al alcance de todos. Las distancias entre las naciones y los continentes son más fáciles de recorrer.  En todos los lugares del mundo hay que proclamar el mensaje de Jesús que nos enseña a llamar a Dios PADRE NUESTRO. Para Dios todos somos hijos suyos, a todos nos  ama  porque no hace diferencia de personas. A todos llama, a todos convida a formar parte de su familia. A esto nos invita hoy el Salmo: “Pueblos todos, batid palmas,  aclamad a Dios con gritos de júbilo;   él nos escogió por heredad suya”.

Es muy cierto que no cree quien quiere, sino aquel a quien le ha sido concedido. La fe es un don de Dios, que llega a nuestros corazones gracias al Espíritu Santo. Es una luz que nos hace -como a San Pablo- caer del caballo de nuestra autosuficiencia. No cree quien quiere, sino aquel a quien le ha sido concedido. Por eso nuestro único recurso es orar con humildad, pedir la venida del Espíritu para nosotros y para los demás.

Jesús en el evangelio de hoy nos dice: «En verdad, en verdad os digo: vosotros lloraréis y os lamentaréis, mientras el mundo estará alegre; vosotros estaréis tristes, pero vuestra tristeza se convertirá en alegría”.

Y nos pone una comparación que todos podemos entender: “La mujer, cuando va a dar a luz, siente tristeza, porque ha llegado su hora; pero, en cuanto da a luz al niño, ni se acuerda del apuro, por la alegría de que al mundo le ha nacido un hombre”. No hay mayor felicidad para unos padres que el momento del nacimiento de sus hijos. Por eso Jesús insiste: “También vosotros ahora sentís tristeza; pero volveré a veros, y se alegrará vuestro corazón, y nadie os quitará vuestra alegría”.

Estamos en el mes de mayo que se distingue de otros meses por esa tradición mariana tan arraigada en nuestra tradición católica. Ella, María la Madre de Jesús, nos acompaña también a nosotros sus discípulos. El Santo Padre Francisco ha escrito una oración a la Santísima Virgen para este mes de mayo en la que le dice: “Ayúdanos, Madre del Divino Amor,  a  conformarnos a la voluntad del Padre  y hacer lo que Jesús nos diga.  Él, que tomó nuestro sufrimiento sobre sí mismo  y cargó  nuestros dolores  para guiarnos a través de la cruz  a la alegría de la resurrección. Amén.

Bajo tu amparo nos acogemos, Santa Madre de Dios,  no desprecies nuestras súplicas en las necesidades,  antes bien líbranos de todo peligro, oh Virgen gloriosa y bendita”. Amen

Today the Psalm invites us to this: “All peoples, clap your hands, cry out to God with shouts of joy; He chose us as his inheritance. ”

Ascencion y comision

Mt 28, 16-20

En aquel tiempo, los once discípulos se fueron a Galilea y subieron al monte en el que Jesús los había citado. Al ver a Jesús, se postraron, aunque algunos titubeaban.

Entonces, Jesús se acercó a ellos y les dijo: “Me ha sido dado todo poder en el cielo y en la tierra. Vayan, pues, y enseñen a todas las naciones, bautizándolas en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo, y enseñándolas a cumplir todo cuanto yo les he mandado; y sepan que yo estaré con ustedes todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo”.

Meditacion:

Hoy leemos una parte importante del Evangelio. No solo recordamos en la primera lectura la ascencion de Jesus a los cielos sino que en el evangelio meditamos sobre "la gran comision" que tenemos todos los catolicos. Ir y bautizar y proclamar el Evangelio. Y a continuacion, dice una promesa "Yo estare con Ustedes todos los dias hasta el fin del mundo".

No estamos solos, nunca estaremos solos porque Jesus camina con nosotros a cada paso, en cada decision.

Podemos pensar que a veces Dios nos dejo solos... es facil creerlo en tiempos como estos donde muchos de nosotros estamos pasando por dificultades enormes, decisiones muy duras, cuando muchos nos hemos quedado sin trabajo, encerrados en nuestras casas, es facil pensar que Dios no esta cuando estas en una cama de hospital, agradeciendo cada aliento de respiracion.

Y sin embargo, Dios sigue con nosotros, Dios esta alli, esperando por nosotros, ayudandonos de maneras sutiles a ser mejores cada dia.

Somos hijos de Dios y herederos del Reino... dejariamos nosotros a nuestros propios hijos desprotejidos?

 Pero a la vez es nuestro trabajo convertir nuestra vida en un ejemplo de nuestro Padre Celestial. Y se comienza con bien poco, siendo recto en nuestras decisiones, justos para nosotros y para los demas, amando a nuestros hermanos, a todos ellos sin distincion.

Ayer leia que la proxima generacion humana estara basada en el respeto y la misericordia. Y es algo que creo sinceramente. El tiempo de ser "el hombre el lobo del hombre" ha acabado y acabo de la peor manera, acabo en medio de una Pandemia que saliera de donde saliese ayudo a sacar lo mejor de las personas. Y asi seguiremos porque, conciente o inconcientemente, no hay vuelta atras.

“Señor y Dios de toda la creación, te amo y quiero alabarte y bendecirte todos los días de mi vida.” Amen

Meditacion:

En la última Cena Jesús tiene una larga conversación con sus discípulos y durante esta conversación les habla en cinco oportunidades del Espíritu Santo. Los discípulos sienten una gran tristeza porque Jesús se va a retirar de su lado. Ante la magnitud de esta desolación, Jesús conforta a los discípulos con la promesa del Espíritu Santo que fortalecerá la fe de los discípulos incluso en los momentos de crisis y persecución.

Hoy también la promesa de Jesús es actualísima a favor de todos nosotros sus discípulos, que también queremos seguirle, pero encontramos tantas dificultades en el camino. No se trata de “comprender” quién es el Espíritu Santo, se trata de invocarlo y acogerlo como el “dulce huésped” del alma. Y decirle de corazón: “Ven Espíritu Santo, llena los corazones de tus fieles e infunde en ellos el fuego de tu amor”.

Alguno me dirá: “Padre, pero si no entiendo quién es, cómo le voy a llamar e invocar”.  El misterio de esta Persona Divina es como el fuego, que si no te acercas a él, no te calienta. Déjale entrar en tu corazón y serás de verdad otro. Es decir serás un cristiano de fuego, lleno de espíritu. Jesús nos lo prometió: “Cuando venga él el Espíritu de la Verdad os guiará hasta la verdad completa”.

No busquemos actos de publicidad, que nos reivindiquen como los mejores, porque ese no fue el estilo de Jesús. Dios, nuestro Dios es más inteligente que nosotros. Su Espíritu, el gran protagonista de la Misión hoy y siempre, encontrará siempre los caminos mejores. La fortaleza de la comunidad católica no depende de los méritos de sus miembros sino de Jesús, que en su despedida dijo a sus apóstoles: “yo estoy con vosotros todos los días hasta el final de este mundo”.

The strength of the Catholic community does not depend on the merits of its members but on Jesus, who in his farewell said to his apostles: "I am with you every day until the end of this world."

Jn 16, 5-11

Y cuando él venga, establecerá la culpabilidad del mundo en materia de pecado, de justicia y de juicio; de pecado, porque ellos no han creído en mí; de justicia, porque me voy al Padre y ya no me verán ustedes; de juicio, porque el príncipe de este mundo ya está condenado”.

Meditacion:

"De pecado, de justicia y de juicio." (Juan 16, 8)

Si uno leyera esta frase fuera de contexto, parecería parte de un sermón condenatorio e incendiario, pero no lo es. Es una descripción de las tres funciones principales del Espíritu Santo.

En este pasaje, los discípulos empiezan a comprender que Jesús no estará con ellos para siempre; pero les asegura que les enviará al Espíritu Santo, el “Consolador”, en su lugar. ¿Y qué iba a hacer por ellos este Consolador? El Señor menciona tres cosas, las cuales se aplican a nosotros también.

Primero, el Espíritu Santo viene a mostrarnos nuestra inclinación al pecado, pero sin acusarnos ni abrumarnos de culpa. Al contrario, aun cuando nos muestra nuestras fallas, nos llena el corazón de paz haciéndonos recordar lo misericordioso que es el Señor.

Esto nos lleva a la segunda función del Espíritu: nos muestra la justicia de Cristo. Dado que Jesús no camina hoy con nosotros en la tierra, el Espíritu Santo nos habla al corazón de quién es el Señor. Nos revela a Cristo en la Palabra de Dios, en la Sagrada Eucaristía y en la oración personal. Nos muestra la justicia, la misericordia, la compasión y el poder de Jesús.

Finalmente, el Espíritu viene a traer “condenación”, pero no a nosotros. Más bien, nos muestra que Satanás ya está condenado y que todos los planes del maligno han sido desbaratados.

El Espíritu Santo realiza esta obra en ti todo el tiempo, aun cuando no la sientas. Él es el que te impulsa a acudir a la Confesión cuando hay algún pecado que te pesa en la conciencia; él es quien te anima a leer la Biblia o poner más atención durante la Misa; él es el que te inspira a adoptar mejores actitudes, un día a la vez. Y siempre te está exhortando a conocer mejor a Jesús.

Aparta hoy un tiempo para invitar al Espíritu Santo a actuar más libremente en tu corazón. Pídele que te muestre las áreas que quiere que cambies con su ayuda y te conceda una mejor comprensión de la santidad y el amor de Cristo. Así como Jesús les aseguró a sus discípulos que el Espíritu Santo estaría con ellos, ahora te asegura a ti que el Espíritu Santo está y siempre estará actuando en ti. Si lo haces, el Espíritu Santo podrá sembrar semillas de santidad en tu corazón y poco a poco irás percibiendo que esas semillas dan frutos de amor, paciencia y bondad en ti.

“Espíritu Santo, Señor, te invito a entrar e iluminar todas las áreas de mi vida.” Amen

"Of sin, of justice, and of judgment." (John 16, 8)

If one were to read this phrase out of context, it would seem like part of a damning and incendiary sermon, but it is not. It is a description of the three main functions of the Holy Spirit.

In this passage, the disciples begin to understand that Jesus will not be with them forever; but he assures them that he will send them the Holy Spirit, the "Comforter," instead. And what was this Comforter going to do for them? The Lord mentions three things, which apply to us as well.

First, the Holy Spirit comes to show us our inclination to sin, but without accusing or overwhelming us with guilt. On the contrary, even when he shows us our failings, he fills our hearts with peace, making us remember how merciful the Lord is.

This brings us to the second function of the Spirit: it shows us the righteousness of Christ. Since Jesus does not walk with us today on earth, the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts of who the Lord is. It reveals Christ to us in the Word of God, in the Holy Eucharist and in personal prayer. It shows us the justice, mercy, compassion, and power of Jesus.

Finally, the Spirit comes to bring "damnation", but not us. Rather, it shows us that Satan is already condemned and that all the plans of the evil one have been thwarted.

The Holy Spirit does this work in you all the time, even when you don't feel it. He is the one who urges you to go to Confession when there is some sin that weighs on your conscience; He is the one who encourages you to read the Bible or pay more attention during Mass; He is the one who inspires you to adopt better attitudes, one day at a time. And he is always exhorting you to know Jesus better.

Set aside time today to invite the Holy Spirit to act more freely in your heart. Ask him to show you the areas he wants you to change with his help and to give you a better understanding of the holiness and love of Christ. Just as Jesus assured his disciples that the Holy Spirit would be with them, now he assures you that the Holy Spirit is and always will be working in you. If you do, the Holy Spirit will be able to plant seeds of holiness in your heart and little by little you will perceive that those seeds bear fruit of love, patience and goodness in you.

"Holy Spirit, Lord, I invite you to enter and illuminate all areas of my life." Amen

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Cuando venga el Consolador, que yo les enviaré a ustedes de parte del Padre, el Espíritu de la verdad que procede del Padre, él dará testimonio de mí y ustedes también darán testimonio, pues desde el principio han estado conmigo.

Les he hablado de estas cosas para que su fe no tropiece. Los expulsarán de las sinagogas y hasta llegará un tiempo, cuando el que les dé muerte creerá dar culto a Dios. Esto lo harán, porque no nos han conocido ni al Padre ni a mí. Les he hablado de estas cosas para que, cuando llegue la hora de su cumplimiento, recuerden que ya se lo había predicho yo’’.

will think he is offering worship to God.
They will do this because they have not known either the Father or me.

Meditacion:

Hasta hace una semana, el evangelio nos hablaba diariamente sobre el amor de Dios para con sus hijos, de como el pastor se preocupaba por cada una de sus ovejas.

De camino ya hacia la Fiesta de la Epifania, el tono de los evangelios va cambiando. Ultimamente, esta lleno de advertencias sobre lo duro que sera seguir a Jesus.

Una frase del Evangelio de hoy me llego especialmente "Los expulsarán de las sinagogas y hasta llegará un tiempo, cuando el que les dé muerte creerá dar culto a Dios", me recordo especialmente la carta de uno de los novicios claretianos asesinados en Barbastro durante la guerra civil española; donde durante 3 dias, 51 novicios fueron asesinados. A los jóvenes seminaristas  los milicianos que los iban a fusilar les decían: “No odiamos vuestras personas sino ese hábito que lleváis y lo que representáis”. ¿Y que representaban? La fe en Jesucristo. El joven seminarista  Esteban Casadevall dejó escrito: “Muero contento. Me tengo por feliz, como los Apóstoles, porque el Señor ha permitido que pueda sufrir algo por su amor antes de morir. Espero confiadamente que Jesús y el Corazón de María me llevarán pronto al cielo. Perdono de todo corazón a los que nos injurian, persiguen y quieren matarnos, y puedo decir con Jesucristo, moribundo en la cruz, al Eterno Padre: Padre, perdónalos, porque realmente no saben lo que hacen. Los ciegan sus dirigentes y el odio que nos tienen. Si supiesen lo que hacen, ciertamente no lo harían. Ya hemos rogado todos por su conversión. Yo les tengo verdadera compasión y desde el cielo espero conseguir que Dios Nuestro Señor les abra los ojos para que vean la verdad de las cosas y se conviertan. Francamente no tengo ninguna dificultad en perdonarles”.  La serenidad y la fortaleza de este joven de 23 años de edad nos sorprende. ¿Dónde las pudo aprender? Ciertamente en el amor a Jesucristo y en el apoyo de sus compañeros jóvenes mártires como él.

Pidamos por un lado, no tener que enfrentar el martirio por nuestra fe pero por el otro, pidamos por aquellos que deben enfrentarlo diariamente, siendo atacados por su fe en muchas partes del mundo.

Que el Espiritu Santo convierta nuestro corazon en algo vivo y amante del mundo en que vivimos porque fe sin accion es nada y vivir sin amor, tambien nos pone en un lugar sin resultados para nuestra vida y la de los demas.

“Señor Jesús, gracias por enviarnos al Espíritu de la verdad que viene del Padre.”  Amen

Until a week ago, the gospel spoke to us daily about God's love for his children, how the shepherd cared for each of his sheep.

On the way to the Feast of the Epiphany, the tone of the Gospels is changing. Ultimately, it is full of warnings about how hard it will be to follow Jesus.

A phrase from today's Gospel especially came to me "They will be expelled from the synagogues and until a time will come, when the one who kills them will believe they worship God", I was especially reminded of the letter of one of the Claretian novices murdered in Barbastro during the Spanish Civil War; where for 3 days, 51 novices were killed. To the young seminarians, the militiamen who were going to shoot them said: "We do not hate your people, but that habit that you wear and what you represent." And what did they represent? Faith in Jesus Christ. The young seminarian Esteban Casadevall wrote: “I am happy. I am happy, like the Apostles, because the Lord has allowed me to suffer something for his love before dying. I confidently hope that Jesus and the Heart of Mary will take me to heaven soon. I wholeheartedly forgive those who insult us, persecute us and want to kill us, and I can say with Jesus Christ, dying on the cross, to the Eternal Father: Father, forgive them, because they really do not know what they are doing. They are blinded by their leaders and the hatred they have for us. If they knew what they were doing, they certainly would not. We have all prayed for his conversion. I have true compassion for you and from heaven I hope that God our Lord will open your eyes so that you see the truth of things and are converted. Frankly I have no difficulty in forgiving them. ” The serenity and strength of this 23-year-old boy surprises us. Where could you learn them? Certainly in love for Jesus Christ and in the support of his fellow young martyrs like him.

Let us ask on the one hand, not having to face martyrdom for our faith, but on the other, let us ask for those who must face it daily, being attacked for their faith in many parts of the world.

That the Holy Spirit turns our heart into something alive and loving the world in which we live because faith without action is nothing and living without love, also puts us in a place without results for our life and that of others.

Si el mundo los odia....

Jn 15, 18-21

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “Si el mundo los odia, sepan que me ha odiado a mí antes que a ustedes. Si fueran del mundo, el mundo los amaría como cosa suya; pero el mundo los odia porque no son del mundo, pues al elegirlos, yo los he separado del mundo.

Acuérdense de lo que les dije: ‘El siervo no es superior a su señor’. Si a mí me han perseguido, también a ustedes los perseguirán, y el caso que han hecho de mis palabras lo harán de las de ustedes. Todo esto se lo van a hacer por mi causa, pues no conocen a aquel que me envió”.

“If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first.
If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own;
but because you do not belong to the world,
and I have chosen you out of the world,
the world hates you.

‘No slave is greater than his master.’
If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
And they will do all these things to you on account of my name,
because they do not know the one who sent me.”

Meditacion:

Veniamos toda esta semana hablando del amor de Dios y de que somos hijos de El y hoy sabado nos encontramos con una severa advertencia de parte de Jesus: vamos a ser odiados, repudiados y hasta posiblemente, muertos por seguirlo.

Y nombra como causante "no conocen al que me envio". 

Es curioso que Jesus eligiera poner "al mundo" como algo separado e ignorante del amor de Dios. Y sin embargo, incluso hasta hoy dia, la Iglesia sigue teniendo martires por causa de la fe.

Pero como? se preguntaran muchos... en este tiempo de conectividad instantanea, no conocer a Jesus y su mensaje es dificil de creer... el problema es que muchos lo conocen pero optan no seguirlo.

Ya vimos que seguir a Jesus es complicado, dificil, y muchas veces, su palabra nos interpela nuestra forma de vivir.

Y lo peor es que muchas veces ese rechazo viene del propio seno de la Iglesia, la envidia y los celos son, lamentablemente, sentimientos comunes en cualquier Parroquia, en cualquier grupo religioso.

Y aquí es donde entramos nosotros. Jesús nos mandó amar a nuestros enemigos y orar por ellos (v. Mateo 5, 44) y esto lo podemos hacer mucho mejor si no consideramos que los demás son enemigos, aunque así nos vean ellos.

¿Cómo sería si usted nunca tuviera acceso a la Confesión o la Eucaristía? Si usted solo hubiera oído alguna vez de Cristo, pero nunca hubiera experimentado su amor, ¿cómo sería su vida? Aquellos que nos odian también son hermanos nuestros; solo que ellos no le han abierto la puerta a Jesús aún.

¿Cómo reacciona usted cuando alguien lo critica por su fe? Es fácil quejarse y condenar resulta casi natural. Pero usted no tiene que sentir amor para rezar por esa persona. A veces basta con sonreír cuando tiene ganas de responder de un modo áspero. El mejor modo de reaccionar cuando alguien expresa odio, desconfianza o animosidad contra el cristianismo es mostrarle exactamente lo opuesto. ¡Usted es un recordatorio vivo del amor Dios, así que eso es lo que ha de demostrar y luego vea lo que pasa!

“Señor, bendice a aquellos que odian y persiguen a mis hermanos en la fe. ¡Envíales tu Espíritu para que encuentren lo que realmente buscan: tu misericordia!” Amen

We came all this week talking about the love of God and that we are His children and today, Saturday, we find a severe warning from Jesus: we are going to be hated, repudiated and even possibly killed for following Him.

And he names as the cause "they don't know who sent me".

It is curious that Jesus chose to put "the world" as something separate and ignorant of the love of God. And yet, even to this day, the Church continues to have martyrs for the sake of faith.

But how? many will wonder ... in this time of instant connectivity, not knowing Jesus and his message is hard to believe ... the problem is that many know him but choose not to follow him.

We have already seen that following Jesus is complicated, difficult, and many times, his word challenges our way of life.

And the worst thing is that many times that rejection comes from within the Church, envy and jealousy are, unfortunately, common feelings in any Parish, in any religious group.

And this is where we come in. Jesus commanded us to love our enemies and to pray for them (v. Matthew 5:44) and we can do this much better if we do not consider others to be enemies, even if they see us that way.

What would it be like if you never had access to Confession or Eucharist? If you had only ever heard of Christ, but never experienced his love, what would your life be like? Those who hate us are also our brothers; only they haven't opened the door to Jesus yet.

How do you react when someone criticizes you for your faith? Complaining is easy and condemning is almost natural. But you don't have to feel love to pray for that person. Sometimes just smiling when you feel like responding harshly. The best way to react when someone expresses hatred, mistrust, or animosity against Christianity is to show them the exact opposite. You are a vivid reminder of love God, so that is what you have to demonstrate and then see what happens!

Lord, bless those who hate and persecute my brothers in faith. Send them your Spirit to find what they are really looking for: your mercy! ” Amen
